I think we should also post at our old hacked ANN thread, particularly about upgrading to V1.6.1 now, as some watching the previous thread might miss this very important news.

We see 14 nodes still using DeepOnion Version 1.6.0  earlier, and 18 Nodes still using 1.6.0
after reaching block 460.000 the wallets below 1.6.0 cannot sync
and 1.6.0 wallets can have issues sending large blocks

pay attention check your wallet version and upgrade the latest V 1.6.1

Remember that this upgrade is mandatory. If you don't upgrade you will have problems with your wallet.

I heard a lot about this coin, some good some bad, but a lot. So I'm considering joining. It looks like it's about to end though.

i think your friend gave really good advice. this is good strategy in fact, even if huge hodles will not sell their onions, there would be a lot of others people who will decide to sell and the price should go down, maybe quite significantly and that would be a perfect moment to enter.. I might be buy a 5k of coins, if the price would be right)

Some people might sell, but there is also going to be pressure from people waiting for that day to buy. So I wouldn't be surprised it the price did actually go up on that day. Even if a person wants to sell on that day, would it really be wise to sell on a day when others are might be doing the same thing? It's like, "Oh yeah, lets sell it at the end of the airdrop, because others are going to sell and so we can sell the Onions that we have worked so hard for, for the cheapest price of the year."

Remember, never download from links given by other people (like) than official devs and check the signature..!!

Unfortunately not all people visit the forum or the bitcointalk regularly to find out about this update.

Maybe a new feature can be added to the DeepOnion wallet where the devs can send warning messages to be shown in a text field, at the bottom of the wallet, such as "Warning: Updated your wallet before the fork." This way, all investors can be made aware of new announcements.

I don't think it will be difficult to program the DeepOnion nodes to send a message to the wallet once they are connected.

Hey @bizul, this is an awesome idea! I'm sure that the message could be included in the same blockchain with a predefined format, and when the wallet processes transactiones it could also check for these kind of "broadcast" messages. Is @brakmic out there?
