Anytime someone offers a "How To Make $34,175" it just sounds like a scam to me. Reminds me of those get rich quick commercials you see late at night.

Hello all,

Anyone use http://btcrobot.com/?cbid=bitcoinrobot?

Looks like a scam, or at least not as good as is advertised.

Mind explaining why you use the image from that site as avatar while at the same time try to seam unrelated to this scam asking questions to bump people into going there?

This may be in part down to the existential doubt engendered by their claim to be the first bitcoin trading bot in the world. Last time I looked there were over 400 on BTC-e alone but perhaps they know something the rest of us don't...

Flag 1: The site's hosted on the same server as another time-limited offers on trading bots on traditional forex markets, and various other get-rich-quick schemes.

http://forexsensation.com
http://www.100percentwinners.com
http://mobilemarketingrobot.com
http://whatsworkingnowreport.com/

Hosted in Vegas, of course :-)

Flag 2: Also "Anna Pavlova... in charge of public relations + communications", with the cam-girl picture on the front page saved as /images/creators/8.png

Flag 3: The fact that there are so many obviously paid reviews around the net, trying to look impartial but sounding like they're written by the same person. In fact they're from this affiliate links page. Helpfully it looks like the scam will run for 2 days. They already say they'll sell out in 1 day, then "find room" for 200 more.

They even have prewritten spam emails for their affiliates including:

Quote
Hey [fname]
The BTC Robot goes live right now and already demand is trough the roof..
In fact upon releasing the new video that shows the bot in action word of mouth has gone viral and thousands of people flock to the page to secure their own license!
[LINK]
The russian developers have already released a statement where they excuse themselves for the slow server as they increase the capacity to handle all the visitors!
At the point of writing this licenses were still available but I do not know for how long.
[LINK]
have a look and dont forget to check the bottom of the page to see if you have won a free license from the prize giveaway!
[LINK]
I secured my license already and I will let you know how trading goes Smiley the bot shows huge earnings of past performance and as these are real results and no backtests i have no doubt to archieve the same or similiar Smiley
Take care and happy money making!
Your name
Ps: I have a gold edition bot.. i reccomend that license for zero setup problems and instant trading start!

And just for fun, you can have a look at the other "creator's" images here:
Creator 1 - variously called Sam, DLL, and best of all this guy.
Creator 2 - Dmitry might be for real.
Creator 3 - mystery man no.1
Creator 4 - Eugene S Romanov who administers this Russian football site.
Creator 5 - mystery man no. 2
Creator 6 - mystery man no. 3
Creator 7 - Kirill from topdelivery.ru
Of course Creator 8 - "Anna Pavlova" aka kimiu383

It'll be interesting to see how this one works. Is it a take the money and run scam? Or are they even going to harvest log-in details for exchanges and/or get bitcoins sent to them for trading?

No, BtcRobot is not a scam. The robot is a solid automated trading software for BTC-e.

It can work on both Windows PC or Trading VPS (web based).

It works as advertised and produces conservative steady profits.

Yes, the team uses pen names and put google images as our pics for obvious privacy reasons. Nobody puts their real pics in bitcoin.

So it's a slow market maker then?

What about the affiliate marketing pre-planned emails already written to explain why it's not working yet? The hustle? It screams scam and I'm going to enjoy watching to see how it pans out.

I was JUST about to buy the Robot today. Then read this thread. Can you please let me know how you get on?
If it is DEFINITELY a scam I will help you get the word out.

To the makers of http://www.btcrobot.com/ - what we need now from you is proof that it is NOT a scam.

Can you tell me if this trade bot has been approved by BTC-e?
I do not thinks so, BTC-e does not allow selling of fully automated trade robots to users. Every user is required to remain unique, with unique trade moments.

Of course we are in touch with them and there are tons of auto traders on BTC besides us. Of course every user we have remains unique and trade operations are not the same.

We already informed the clients, we are experiencing a strong DDOS on our servers. This created delay but most orders were already processed and the robots were installed. If you are not processed for some reason just send us email.

Scam?  Huh Huh

Of course we are not a scam. Why would we be? we don't accept any money or deposits, we only sell you software license. You are trading independently at BTC-e like you would trade manually or with any other system.
The trading is solid as well. You can follow on our page before a purchase.
We also have 60 day guarantee.
Yes we do use google images as our team pics for obvious privacy reason. If it hurts your feeling, just don't buy. What we care about is service and performance.

If you have questions PM me or send support email

P.S. We are still hammered by a strong DDOS so our site is slow at times. It does not affect your trading VPS as they are on different machines but salespage could be slow.

If you were really interested in a Trading Bot... wouldn't you want to be looking at thread like this?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=261086.0

We still don't even know what the best algorithm is to use on the market.. there probably isn't one best algorithm anyway... you guys must know way more than us statistician.

There is tons of open source code out there.. and no real trading bot from what I gather.  I hope your test purchase isn't already being spent on crack!

Regards!

Our robot is professional commercial solution software.

We don't need any contests as we don't try to prove anyone anything. Our software produces conservative stable returns for our members, that is only we care about.
