Good afternoon. What’s the expire date of your tokens? Or can they be stored on my account endlessly?

I've never heard of a token that expires. Is that a thing? Why would anyone buy that?

Any big partnerships worth noting at this point?

What kind of partnerships would be good for a platform like this anyway?

The ideal partner would be a photography sharing site such as Flickr - these communities are untapped in terms of monetizing photographs, and so a partnership one of these would bring both the photographers and those interested in their work.

We also have a partnership already with Copytrack, one of the leaders in digital copyright management. You can read this here: https://medium.com/photochain/photochain-and-copytrack-announce-key-copyright-partnership-2fd05a4923fa

Other types of partners would be those on the buyers, or those on the sellers side. E.g. for the buyers, media outlets who get most of their media from stock photography platforms. And an e.g. for the sellers would be photography communities.

Have you pitched to Flickr yet?

Unfortunately they have only just merged with Smugmug. In future we will approach the joined entity again to see if we can tie up an agreement.

They have too much to benefit by keeping everything centralized. They aren't interested in doing things for the good of the users, only to line their own pockets.

Yes, this is true for many businesses.

Fortunately for us, blockchain is now helping us to see an alternative reality - where it is possible to create services for the good of users before making money.

I love the way you put this, and it describes the realization I've only come to this year. It's weird being raised in an environment where you don't see any other alternatives, but now we have the tools to escape the greedy bastards while still getting true innovation.

A lot of new solutions will be based on blockchain and p2p protocols. People with vision can see it already now and therefore will participate on the future gains with an advantage.

Yes, we will look back to this time and wonder how we ever got on without it, once there is greater adoption. Exciting times!

We already surpassed our soft cap so we're going to development the platform no matter the final investment raised.

Oh that's good. I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering all the interest you guys are getting.

It took quite a few years to get true public adoption of the internet, and just look at it now! It's fundamentally changed our entire world.

Why is Photochain a great use case for true blockchain based business model?*

With p2p platform you keep the ownership of your own images, thus being able to set your own pricing and your own licensing type.

Blockchain allows instant payments in a matter of seconds. In many existing platforms, you are paid once per month for all the licenses sold during the month.

Blockchain also allows better copyright protection services. In current stock photography platforms, a manual team of people and compare if photos are copies of each other. However, this is time consuming and expensive. Blockchain allows each uploaded image to be analysed and compared to each other image in the decentralized database in a few moments to check for copyright infringement. A decentralized digital chain of ownership is maintained and therefore any image uploaded not by the indicated owner is immediately known.

All this improvement in services is what allows fees charged to photographers to be reduced from as much as 90% down to as little as 5%. Blockchain essentially automises, transfers data more efficiently and helps keep track of ownership much more effectively than existing systems can.

Nice project. Will you be doing anything to prevent traders from buying these tokens only to dump them at the first exchange? The reputation of a lot of ICOs seems to suffer because of this.

I'm still interested in learning more about this and if Photochain has implemented (or plans to implement) anything to prevent this.

This project has a lot of potential. In what country is Photochain registered?

I think this got buried. Just wondering if anyone knows.

I'm amazed that you guys plan to have a working Dapp before the end of the year. That's pretty impressive for this type of project. I'm really excited to use it.
