I think yes, it's possible because in UK they're already imposing ICO and Cryptocurrency regulations in order for their citizens not to engage scams and fraud.
It's one of the best effective ways to ensure investors into investing good ICOs and projects and get more profits.

I don't see the whole of Europe banning ICOs I think there will be some countries that still dabble. Regardless I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I don't even think that is the area question. You can be into ICOs even from the countries that have banned them , just use poxy and other anonymizers.

I'm almost sure they will be regulated - in 10-15 years. So there's nothing to worry about right now.

Oh, no at all. The regulations is going to be here soon. Bitcoin and the alts have caught the large market actors by surprise, but their response is not goint to take 10 yr, because greed burns them.

I think it's necessary to have a more standard ico, and now there's a lot of ico that's a scam, it's a way to love you, and I think it's great.

I think that the regulations will have to take its positions with regards to the legitimacy of all whose part of the ico, and with Europe I believed that everything will be in order in the future. In any ways we should observe those cheaters who wanted to take advantage on all projects, that's why all moderators will have to closely monitor all activities and also those bounty participants will have to help protect the community of those part of an ICO.

There is a general lack of accountability on ICOs and that is very damaging for innovation and for companies that are legit and have to do all short of efforts to comply with international legislations.

Sooner or later, given the existence of certain risks for investors, the ICO should and will be monitored in Europe. European states are already concerned about the presence of these risks and are looking for a way out of this situation. And there can be only one way out - partial regulation of the issue of initial coins. Nothing wrong with this I do not see. It is important only that such regulation is not excessive and does not interfere with the ICO.
ICO's could get regulated in Europe though the can also get people to learn how to evade things without much flexibility from the Government.

What exactly do you mean by regulated? Controlled by laws and government agencies? If yes, than I'm pretty sure, that ICO will become regulated. Same situation could be with all crypto currencies as well.

I think it needs to be regulated in all countries so people can be safe from the scam ICOs.But totally banning the ICO is not a good idea because ICO investment is a good way to earn big profits in very short time so it will be helpful for the citizens of their country to increase their life quality.
I don't know whether it will be banned or regulate in Europe because there is no announcement yet from the government officials.

ICO's will without doubt start to be reguated and I would not be at all shocked to see retrospective regulations put on previously held icos

Sooner or later those icos that do not comply will be pushed off of exhanges and into the fringes.

The entire industry will be regulated and taxed soon but that is not a bad thing.

Do you think we will see certain restrictions investing in ICOs for European based investors? I'm considering to go full time focusing on ICOs investments and it would be a shame if ICOs become banned. Thank you for sharing your opinion on this, much appreciated

Potentially ICOs could be banned. Unfortunately banning becomes a trend today, cause nobody wants to calm down people who loose their money.
But banning will create investment money outflow. Some countries may use such bans and benefit by bringing attractive regulations.
Cyprus was an offshore for a long period of time even in European Union.

I agree. I think that there is a chance for that to happen because European countries has been spreading word how they want to regulate cryptocurrency use. I think they have started with becoming a little more strict with cryptos when they deemed mining illegal in some countries. I think that they are just trying to safeguard their people from unwanted scams since they think that the cryptocrurency market could be used to do illegal ways. Therefore, there is always a chance for ICOs to be banned as well as they become stricter with regulations.

Indeed, some of the European countries can make their own restrictions about crypto ICO's, but in my opinion not all countries intrested at doing that and for example Sweden intrested on making their cryptocurrency based at blockchain technology, so it can't be regulated as a rule for every European country exact

As we move forward, regulation is inevitable. Regulation will happen whether we like it or not because government will want to control bitcoin, ico and other cryptocurrencies. As long as it is not banning and complete shutdown, it is just fine in my opinion.

Europe is slightly more open towards the ICO launches and trades.
That is the good sign because if any new regulation comes I think that it won't change the way we can trade and cash out completely.
ICOs are the way for the unknown developers to promote their projects and I think that Europe has no problem with that.
It is mainly known that Europe is also supporting all the unknown little folks who have the good projects but not the financial background. Taxes are already regulated in the countries of Europe so ICOs cant represent any problem to the government of the European countries.

Although Europe is open to new coins being built and certain ICO's being made as long as there isn't any serious legal issues around it, they can still focus on who can participate in the ICO and who can't.
They already have most payment systems that are on this forum already.

at some point I think that europe countries will start to think about regulating ICO's and at some point this will happen but I don't see it coming in 2018 or 2019 but what I know about such things eh ? I'm just asume that for now it's a bad thing to regulate ICO's in europe.
