In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts. The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now. The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster. I recently found a hidden GEM called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place. $500 is just a small amount to invest in, but i still prefer you to invest in bitcoin, because you can be more sure that you will earn some profit from your $500 investment even at just a small amount only than investing in some altcoins that are no guarantee that you will earn. And if you really want to earn a bigger amount of profit, it must better to invest an amount that is more bigger than $500 to be able to earn more profit in the near future. |

Actually $500 to invest is already good and can start in trading. Gather information on which is the most profitable coin these days. My top list is ethereum I'm holding this coin until now and just look into it's market always surviving and it will rise though. |
