Do not spread any rumour in the market because most of the crypto holder investing very carefully in the market. Maybe the ETH price go above $2000 but how you evaluate this do not mention here. So as you know crypto price is very unpredictable nobody predict it's price exactly. So, how would you know? Again, I would like to say that Ethereum price will surpass the previous all time high but not in the recent future or in this two month.

Move on guys, this thread was posted since January 2018 and we are now at June of 2019. Which means that a lot of months has passed and we're still stuck on $200+ levels although there's a significant move after it went from $80ish level.

$2k can happen in the future but there's no certain time when.

it is one of the terrible thread I have ever watch it in bitcointalk because after creation of this thread the prices of ethereum keeps decreasing and even it reached $80 but it is now managed to to get up to the level of $300 ethereum and it keeps increasing as market keeps bullish.

First some facts about eth we need to account for:

• Eth all time high was $1,432.88 USD based on coinmarket
• Project Nightfall by Ernst & Young (EY) could contribute to its price raise source
• ethereum 2.0 another innovation that's going to contribute to the success of eth
• increase in eth address possible sign of ethereum users

Now if we analyze this data 2months to archive such an all time high of 2k in an era that has less price volatility is us being too optimistic, maybe now we should be talking of $250-$400 with some growth somewhere.

I agree with what you said and it not because ETH was the second coin on capital market but it because the ETH and BTC seems to posed almost the same momentum in terms of surge in price.But, ETH wont claim the $2000 price range as the OP thought cause it will take more than 2 months.

Without BTC, not just ETH, any other coin will suffer, even Binance. BNB keeps saying it is the only profitable token in 2019 but it keeps forgetting it would not be anywhere if not for BTC.

And I actually think this situation can change in the future,,, but not in the near one. We are talking about years here!

It's hard to think that with this sway bitcoin can reached that level, not unless bitcoin will really soar high and bring the market to a very big  jumped,
real supporters will buy and keep cheap coins around the market and wait till the big rise will happen.

This thread shows how much can change in 18 months. Back when the OP started this thread, ETH was at its peak, and looked like it would never drop back below $1,000 again... and now today we are in the mid-$200s, and $2,000 looks impossibly far away.
I would say though that I think ETH will be very likely to hit $2,000 in the future, just not the near future.

For this year, ETH may not reach USD 2000, because it is still in the range of USD 250. This condition will still last a long time, even according to predictions until next year 2020 is still in the range of under USD 1000.
But ETH is a very prospective coin, because it is hunted by speculators other than Bitcoin. Bull trading has just begun, there is still a long time to increase trade, because there are still many investors who have not entered the crypto market. This situation will be very attractive to speculators given the very dynamic price fluctuations.

well, for now, we are expecting high prices. I'm sure it's not just January, but right now. In the future, the price of ETH will definitely recover, and it is even possible to pass ATH. I am very confident with ETH.

It didn't reach your speculation not even a half of it because man, that is impossible for just 2 months even if you says for 2 years the chances are on 50/50 we cannot say that etherium will rise to that high price again. unless we can see bitcoin reaching out to $20k of course there will be some people buying ETH too and it will cost to rise the price when that's happen.

I think the ethereum price increase target of what you say is very long, ethereum prices can reach $ 2000 when there is good news or when the price of bitcoin has reached more than $ 20k then ethereum prices will follow the bitcoin price movement which will make ethereum prices rise again.

Don't stop the possibility that the price of $2k will be meet as soon as possible, because once the market stabilized to a better position we potentially have that opportunity to reach over the goals of our asset. We should expect more demands to initiate further, in order to become more sustainable in the coming days. If 2 months is capable to be meet, then that's destined to be. So right now plan your asset and don't dump it easily.

This thread got created when the price of ethereum crossed the $1000 barrier for the very first time. Following the growth there is much expectation over ethereum and it reached its ath. Further a big expectation was found over the ethereum through the year and with reference to this growth it was speculated to be the year of ethereum. To the expectation the reality was very worse and the market collapsed reaching a two digit value and now slowly the recovery is happening. Even now the growth isn't big compared to bitcoin. $2000 will be reached in the long run without any deadline infront of it.
