Definitely depend on the prospects. A solid team with active investment usually won't have to bootstrap the whole thing and ICO funds will most likely not be required.

It depends to the ICO because they have ICO after listed the exchanges site the price increase or higher than the price of the ICO. But they have ICO also after listing the price decrease. We have advantage and disadvantage of investing in ICO. Just make sure before you investing to ICO choose ICO who do you think can gives you high profit after ICO.

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

I think it was depends on the purpose of the token if it's really helpful in everyday lives . I prefer buy when it's already on exchanges and wait for it to be in a low price .

Yes, in some cases it can fall below the ICO price. We can see the ICO prices of ETH-based coins from the ether-scan coat. this is a very nice plugin. all coins don't always fall below the ICO price. undeveloped and garbage projects can fall at any time not always. these two important points should not be forgotten.

Better to buy later, off late the prices of tokens usually decrease once they hit exchanges.Waiting to buy on exchanges even saves you from investing in scam projects which will sell to you and never list on an exchange apart from the fact that you get to buy the coins cheaply too.I know a coin that was sold at $2 during ICO and is now trading at 14c and there are countless others.

I was really very excited about upcoming icos until last months. But non of the icos are profitable for investors as they were before. Most of them are listed cheaper on exchanges....

Nothing can assure that project is legit unless they present a high credible team and devs. A feasible project should have enough experience and funds to support the necessity of everyone. ICOs are also risky, so I prefer to buy dump coins or tokens in a reputable exchange platform, that way it will reduce the risk of having lose.

before that we can actually see the data from the ico. whether has bounty or not, because if ico has a bounty usually when entering the market will happen dump by bounty hunter and that is where we can buy at cheaper price than ico

In the current market scenario buy later on the exchange is the best option. However, if the project and the team are really good then later you'll not have a chance to buy it at the cheap rate on the exchange.

It depends on the project and how the price of the token is defined.

For example our HPQ token is backed by commodity (high purity quartz) and can be sold back to us at predefined price or exchanged for the product.

With such options, the max price of the token at the exchange most probably will not go higher than market prices of the product. At the same time, with our buy back and redemption options it will not be sold too cheap as well.

So in our case the best and only way to get a good profit is to buy during the ICO or even better PreICO.

It depends about how the price progress and how they handle their own project, even though they were successful with ICO but still there are too many projects that failed in the middle of development because lazy and ran out of money. I'd rather to buy when at exchange tho, so I know they are really working hard with their projects.

With my experience here in the crypto world which is not that long, coins usually drop it's price after ICO and the moment it hit the exchange. The reason for this maybe the dumping of coins by the bounty hunters which could add the supply of such coin. But surely it will recover and double it's original price on the ICO.

I prefer to buy when ICO's. Because when we buy at ICO we will get a bonus or discount. especially if we joining the Pre-sale that the bonus is more greater, but we also need to see the potential of an ICO's project that we joining in the future

Buying token during ICO is a big risks since there is 50% that it won't reach the exchange, but when you buy during the ICO and it does reached the exchange then its a big income for you.

Buying also in exchange after it was listed there is a good option but no discounts like ICO pre-sales....

It has there advantage and dis---- so it's up to you, really.

You can never analyze and guess where the price will be cheaper. If you like the project and you are sure that the team has a great future, but you do not want to go through the KYC procedure, your choice will be the purchase of tokens on the exchange

Ask any experienced person and he would recommend you to only buy coins once they have been listed on exchanges. Also, the exchange matters. If the coin has been listed on some shady exchange, then there is no point buying that coin from there, on the other hand if the coin is listed on a reputed exchange like binance, then you can expect price to be pumped quite a lot.
So, do not invest in ICO and wait for coin to be listed on a reputed exchange.

To be honest I still do not understand how people can continue investing in ICOs, when it has been clearly demonstrated the trend that most tokens follow to be offered at cheaper prices in exchanges after the ICO stage. This is just an indication that something is very wrong in the market, and that in the long term these investment schemes should be rethought because the current model does not seem convenient for potential investors.

Many still attracts in ICO especially in their offers and bonuses that can get in it that can't be found in exchanges, well its still good to buy as long were sure that its legit project.

Buy after the crowdsale cause dumpers will make the price to go down below ico price, its a great opportunity to buy cheap coins made by bounty hunters.
