I think it's better to buy on the exchange, especially now there are times when many projects after ICO lose in their original price. So much safer.

Of course ICO at the beginning or pre-ICO is better and more profitable than buy later on exchange, maybe some coins or tokens when available on the exchange feels cheaper than when ICO, but I'm sure it is for a moment and the price will continue to skyrocket.

of course after ico. especially in these days. not some coins, most of coins are more profitable when it enters an exchange. you can take almost half price of ico value.

I do not think that better buy on ICO, because now there is a lot of scam. And large exchanges take on not so many projects. But this is purely my opinion.

Last 6 months it was always better to buy later on exchange.
Like 40-60% better.
So answer to this question is quite easy.

Better to buy on the exchange there you just do not cheat on money because the exchanges check that the projects they take to themselves are not mice.

Now I invest little in ICO, because the market is unstable and many projects do not raise capital. I prefer to invest in reliable coins that have long been traded on the stock exchange.

All my investment positions are at a loss right now. To give you an idea, I bought Eth at $800+ and Bitcoin at $12 almost $13k.  Cry Instead of selling them, I'm planning to invest in token sales but I have to do more research. So far I have filtered out Decoin, Menlo One, Boltcoin, Impetus, and Aethion as the ones with good teams and communities. How does one choose the best when all look the same? Am I missing something in terms of the way I conduct my research?

I would advise you now to buy TDZ tokens. In my opinion, it will give a good profit to its investors in the future. It is perspective project.

ICO investment is very good if the project of that company is very challenging and the price is very low. Also, check the demand of the token at the Pre-ICO stage. If it is fully subscribed in very short period of time then must invest for the ICO. But if you have any doubt about that company  then let it for the exchange listing and purchase in lower price.

Do not worry. Everyone who trades on the exchange or enters the ico at least a couple of times were wrong, without experience is not how. Simply learn more about the market and soon you will have everything. Wink

Sometimes it is good to invest in an ICO because sometimes the ICO price is lower than the market exchange. But there are crypto coins also that is lower price than the ICO price. Actually it just depends on the coins market flow.

The ico is no longer as profitable as it use to be. Most of the coin get heavily dumped as soon as it gets listed on an exchange which results in a big loss to those who bought it during ico. I prefer to buy after the dumping that results from the listing before buying.

Joining an ICOs is much profitable nowadays since the price on their sale is much cheaper also on their pre-sale. Once the ico is complete and gets listed on an exchange then it's very normal to see if people will dump their shares to make a quick profit. But it will also depends on the ico you are joining since some are taking a while to get listed on the market,.

This is a very correct question. Literally half a year ago, investors tried to buy tokens during the period of the ICO with a 20-50% discount. Now more and more often I notice that they buy on the stock exchange after the completion of the ICO at a discount even at 70-100% of the ico price. These are the realities of today.
in any case, it is the current situation in the crypto-currency market that does not allow the project to develop actively and after the sale of tokens, prices tend to fall not only by 50%, but even more.

After the ico, the price usually falls because everyone is selling. It is best to buy two or three days after the ico when those people who sold came out of this coin and left those who will wait and buy.

Investing when ICO is a risky action, but when we dare to take risks then we can get a much better profit. One of the advantages when buying coins when ICO is that we can get a much cheaper coin price or there is a discount that makes us get more coin. Yes anyone who dare to take risks so he has a chance to get more profits than just wait it out.   Huh

No, pre ico or exchange. Don't buy ICO, buy with bonus(pre sale) or on dump, on exchange after ICO.
I usually dump tokens for price under initial price and many bounty hunters are doing this too, you can really buy very cheap tokens on exchange.

Well, everything depends first of all on the prospects of the project. Although today there are very few ico companies that go up after the sale of the tokens. but nevertheless for each project you need to have an individual approach, because buying a coin on the exchange or during the ico of the company can be of benefit.

if you are not an expert in the analysis of ICO prospects do not even try to invest money there is a high probability that you will lose everything. Most of the experts who made a fortune on buying and selling ICO quickly grew out of exactly the same newcomers as you.  Learn the process of analyzing a project. Choose for yourself the following strategy start learning to weed out a good promising project from the bench without attachments. If you choose several projects now and several months without investing money, you will be able to check yourself and decide how well you understand this issue.
the learning forum is open to the advice of senior colleagues and you will be happy - make no mistake all newbies do not buy anything on emotion in this situation you will lose your money
