someone please explain to me what the point is in mining this coin? I have 126 rejected shares on the pool already in a matter of 5 minutes using the "optimized" miner. not one accepted share. the client is throwing a warning of "checkpoint is too old. wait for blockchain to download, or notify developers."

looks busted to me

You haven't upgraded your client if you're getting that message.

You also have your miner set up wrong if you are on the botpool with the correct miner. I have 4 rigs on it right now with about less than 8% rejects. Not the coin's fault if you set things up wrong and don't upgrade...

I would offer to help you, but it sounds like you already made up your mind about it

Oh, the github might not have been updated because it was just a cosmetic change. The checkpoint message doesn't mean anything for you, that's a message for us, we fixed it in the Windows QT, but I'm not sure if we updated github or not, can't remember

As far as the miner for Linux goes, that I won't be able to help out with as I've never used that one. Sorry if I sounded like a douche, thought you were just talkin shit. I'm sure someone with more Linux experience will be able to help you soon, though, I know a lot of people are using it

Try that one I linked and see if it works. There's 2 for linux I think and 2 for Windows, but only 1 Windows miner worked for a few of my rigs

I want to CPU mining Copper Bars.

I saw that it is a Srypt-jane coin, so I suppossed that I could use the YAC's CPU mininer.

I started mining fine using the pool in the OP,

The problem is that after 7 hours I didn find even ONE valid share.
I know that it is very quick, but Am I doing something else wrong?

cheers

I mine it with Guiminer, just added the extra files from the gpu miner in the same folder for cgminer in Guiminer. It's working great, just need more powerful GPU's, ie. 5970, 6990, 7950, 7970 or 7990. I'm running 2x HD 5870 and 1x HD 5850 at 1100 kh/s.

9/4/13 Update: My speeds are nearly half. Think GPU Efficiency dropped around 50%.

I apologize if this was previously stated, because I will be honest with you, I did not read through 27 pages.
But I am wondering is it not possible to use GUIMiner to mine this coin??
I tried mining with CopperBars Pool but I got 37 stale shares within 2 minutes.
I also tried downloading CPRMiner and running it, and as soon as i type in my workers password and hit enter, it errors out and closes.

Running Win7 x64 with Sapphire Vapor X 7950's

Any help would be appreciated, I have 7,000 Kh/s I would like to toss CPR's way.
Thanks for the help!

It's scrypt-jane so guiminer and cgminer won't work. GPU mining is still efficient, but won't be for much longer. Here you go; I uploaded the GPU miner for you
