BTC or ETH in 2018

They are both good coins. Only I would not compare Bitcoin with another coin. Bitcoin is a standalone coin that develops on its own.

If I have to choose from bitcoin and ethereum then my first preference goes to bitcoin but I put my money in both as both are leaders of this market. Bitcoin is the leader of the whole market and ethereum is the leader of all altcoins.

ETH is better for me, I bet it is better on growing market. On bearish market bitcoin was better, but as a risky asset ethereum has higher volatility, so bullish market will bring eth holders higher profit

BTC is always the better choice, when in doubt always go with bitcoin. but when you are dealing with just altcoins then the answer is always to go with ethereum. I don't think ethereum has been able to prove that it is a good competitor for bitcoin this year. Although bitcoin went lower than the December 2017 price, it still managed to maintain a stable figure for a long period of time unlike ethereum which progressively decreases.

I think it is not only about difference in price. The coins are different in their business plans and targeted categories of people. We shouldn't compare them or bump their heads together. Both are great coins for their respective groups of stakeholders.
