For me NEO is a good smart contract platform but it is yet to attain the kind of stability ethereum have attained. If i am to choose, I will choose Neo because i really like their concept of free gas when transacting on their platform. I believe in the near future more people will shift to NEO to reduce cost.

both are very good coins, and have their respective advantages but I am more inclined to ETH because ETH is the best altcoin I think is good for short and long term. but this year's NEO movement is amazing many people think the NEO is Chinese bitcoin. but in the end it seems that its popularity is beginning to decline. so I prefer ETH.
