actually they sold more then 100k Smiley todays x11 hashrate is 4ph no new miners for a month so it is maximum for now, this means that if all of that hashrate is from several companies including bitmain if it was only bitmain then they would sold 220k units, so there is minimum 220k x11 units out there and majority of those units are from bitmain more then half actually

you can calculate for sure but reality is this, bitmain screwed us D3 buyers and bitmain will do same to A3 miners and if you expect that coin price will go up better to buy coin

Yes, because in the ASIC game, it's completely normal to order a single run of 20M chips. It's not like the foundry makes you enter a timeline, schedule production well in advance, and make production commits.

Ya, the X11 stuff was all bitmain's fault! Don't buy! At least not until I can open a few more accounts under various cousin's names.

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Already sold out again. Bitmain however did state that they would announce on Twitter when it was officially sold out so keep an eye on twitter. If you don't see a sold out message then refresh their page every couple of minutes and those that missed out will be able to get 1. Like I said, don't let the numbers trick you, these will be profitable but there is risk involved. Especially if they flood the market like they did the D3's.

Halo Platform is one of the fastest Blockchains I've seen yet. They have FREE transactions. 250 Millisecond Block speeds. Smart contracts, Masternodes, blockchain games, and their own high speed DEX with BTC/ETH/USDC pairs. Similar to ETH, Waves, EOS, and more yet with only $1 million mcap. If they stay sold out this time, I'm guessing they sold about 2500 units so far based off of the average price vs how much BCH they have in their wallet. somewhere between 2500 and 2800. You have to consider the fact that some of these orders included PSU's.

I'm pretty sure they were not going to release it till next week or month but because of current market situation they decided to release it not. As BCC is low and those 2300usd today will be much more in next few months

Also, keep in mind, difficulty for SIA is currently BROKEN. Hashrate is not as high as you think. So all those whattomine calculators aren't worth clicking buttons on.

Wallets for SIA (SC) coin are also broken at the moment.

Big question is also if they push out massive ammounts for the batches to come.
If so, the D3-disaster will repeat itself.
The hashrate will prob quadruple or more from batch 1 alone.
However i assume that pushing out so many D3 was meant to hurt Innosilicion mostly.

I don't think A3 will have the same disaster with D3. Bitmain will not allow it to be.
This will be 2nd time and no more people trust in them anymore so they will not take this risk.

I am happy to grab one piece as they allowed 1 per account, we'll see the results.  Huh

I don't think so. It will be worse (as other user pointed in another thread .. there is only one coin to mine with).
You will enjoy profits as long as you are among first to deploy it ... but chinese guys will have it much sooner than we in EU or US guys.

Selling one per account probably to mitigate the customers losses (make them less angry). This time i'm holding back ( not going to be lured anymore by the current huge daily profits which will be dropping and dropping ....

Yeah, I agree with you. EU or US people will start mining days before chinese guys. Consider it.
Maybe the profit will be high already, but... will you bet on one, and only one, horse ?

Will the introduction of all of these miners and coins dilute the market and devalue the coin?

Relax and wait for 24 hours atleast. They'll confirm your payment manually later. That's why they propably stopped the sales.

YES. The ASICs being produced right now will increase the difficulty of the coin like the early days of the D3. I'm not saying it'll flop like the D3, but it is possible. Early adopters always get more than the rest, though. I can see the A3 being a good miner.

I recognize the risk for this being same kind of scenario than it was with the D3, but I went ahead anyway and bought one A3 unit.  Cheesy

Time will tell if I was stupid or not.

Announcement from Sia team :

Bitmain has announced ASICs for Sia, shipping in 7 days. 1275w, 815 GH/s, ~$3200 USD. They are more expensive and less efficient than the Obelisk SC1, but they ship several months sooner (7 days as opposed to several months).

Bitmain has a long history of being abusive towards coin communities, their customers, and towards coin developers. We prepared for something like this by adding an extra feature to the SC1. We can do a soft-fork that slightly changes the PoW algorithm which would invalidate the bitmain ASICs, but allow the SC1 units to continue working. In the event of an attack from Bitmain, we can activate this soft fork. At this time, I do not think it is necessary, but if they start mining empty blocks or otherwise prove problematic for the network, we have recourse that does not involve destroying the usefulness of the SC1 units. This fork would of course require community adoption, it's not something the devs could decide to activate on their own. It would be a UASF, because the majority hashrate would not be standing behind the soft fork.

Overall, I do not think we have much to worry about. Hopefully (and very likely), this soft-fork will never be necessary. But I wanted to remind everyone (including Bitmain) that, at the end of the day, it is the community that has control, not the miners. If ASIC manufacturers act in a way that is harmful to the network, we have recourse.
