Is anyone looking to buy one of these A3 miners? I have one I am selling on ebay, but I'd prefer to not support ebay or paypal as they barred my account that I had with them for 18 years because I bought funded Lealana physical coins. Let me know if you are interested.

be careful selling on ebay, all a customer has to do is mine with it for 30 days and return for a full refund no questions asked, ebay always sides with the customer. Good Luck

Can someone tell me if we can run these in a aprtment in the US? I believe we have 125 V 15 A breakers. But the APW++ PSU on bitmain site says that 110 V will only provide 1200 W ourput. Are we SOL? Will the bathroom or kitchen special outlets do any help?

You'll be able to power a single A3 on one of those circuits, but I wouldn't use a single APW3++. I'd go for the EVGA SuperNova 1600 G2 instead. We have a ton of customers who attempted to run the S9 with an APW3++ over 120v circuits and would often experience hashing boards that would just disappear until the next reboot. Moving to 220v circuits almost always fixes the issue permanently. The point is that the APW3++ will still attempt to output the full amount needed by the miner, but the power will likely be less consistent and you'll also be increasing your fire hazard risk. If you insist on using the APW3++, then get 2 of them and run some hashing boards on one and the rest on the other.

Thank you for the quick response. I ordered the APW3++ already along with the A3 Sad. I am also looking to use a colocation in a couple of weeks so I believe they will be able to accomodate the APW3++? Until then (1 to 2 weeks), I will have to run in my aprtment. Is it risky to run for even a short period of time? Am I risking low hashing and restart once in a while? Or am I risking to kill the miner or burn the house?

Also, can you post a link to a power cord to buy for the APW3++? I have spare ones that came with EVGA 750 BQ psus. One says 105 C 3 x 18 AWG (0.824 mm2) 300V. Other one says 60 C 3/c 18 AWG (0.824 mm2) 300 V. Are they good or bad to use with this?

Can someone answer this please?

Before you buy the A3, Halong Mining / DragonMint are now coming out with their own Blake(2b) ASIC.

No price nor date yet, BUT 3.5TH  THAT'S ~4.5X BITMAIN'S A3 and Obelisk's SC1 !!!!!!

https://halongmining.com/shop/dragonmint-b52-blake2b-miner

Sad to say, but Blake(2b) is now screwed....it's gonna be much worse than X11...at least that has several coins to spread the X11 hashing across, whereas afaik Blake(2b) is only Sia

No Picture....no price.....no dates. I wouldn't hold your breath on "Dragonmint" LOL.

On their website;

There are conisdereable questions on if these guys are even legit....my view is it is unlikely

you can watch the battle on legit or not on this thread

myself..not touching any flavor asic from these guys...if for no other reason even IF legit ..they sure played it the wrong way

on promoting the product

now with the sudden announcement that they too have a blake2b miner...well.....I'm even more dubious

anyway, my take on this

link to the thread on this battle of legit or not

quite the little verbal battle going on .....

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. You know it's very likely that you are looking at a company wide wallet address that is showing money inflows for ALL Bitmain products being sold. S9's L3+'s PSU's A3"s. I'm guessing that Bitmain has not sold more than 6000 total A3's between China and outside countries.

you can use your stove or laundry hookups, those are higher voltage ...220 - just get a splitter wire
(also if power is included in your rent... that helps rofl)

bitmain site says not to use 2 PSUs on that same piece of hardware - I wouldnt risk it

Bitmain sold 6000 A3s just for china market. Few pages back was reported they have to (by chinese laws) publicly announce how much miners will be released .

First batch 15K ...  All will be fuqed up if sia fork it ..
All will be fuqed up even if sia dont fork it...  coz Bitmain will add another 30K by next month .. Cheesy Cheesy

My choice SIA should shove it in bitmain fuqin @$$ Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
lol sia won’t fork , its FUD they were the ones who stated that asics would help secure and grow the network , that was the very justification they made for selling 10k units of thier obelisk.

even if they do fork which i think would make things worse for then , it wont be before  may or june which is plenty of time for the A3 to be profitable

Short answer: Its a new machine so no one can be sure. You can be the first to try it and let us know how it goes.

That said, here is what I guess...
A3 consumes 1200W so you should be good with APW++ at 110V (I only run mine @240V). It takes any regular computer power cable (C13).
Do you have access to the breaker switch in case you trip it? If not then you have to take more care.
Antminers can be loud! Noise might be your biggest concern not power.

If you are really, really daring and are ok with voiding your warranty you can power up one or two boards instead of all 3.

When you power it up that first night treat it like a new born baby. Don't sleep. Just watch it hash away all night.

Good luck!

The dryer pin on the wall looks so wierd. 4 or 5 prong. A normal plug wont fit. I guess I might need some type of converter. Washer plug just looks normal. Does that mean its not 220?

So its not advisable at all to run on regular wall plugs (from 125 V 15 A circuit) even its only fo lr a week or two?

Yes, I do have access to the breaker. Yes, I am aware of noise and heat. Since it is only for a couple of weeks until I move it to a colocation, I am ok with the heat/noise.

Should we connect via a surge protector? Or is that unecessary?
