I just received my A3 today, ...

To everyone who received in US, did you have to pay customs? If so, how much?

Thanks.

So if Bitmain office is empty currently and they stated shipping within 10 days...  (shipping, not delivery, many sites seems to have said that wrong)

Will this delay any orders?   I noticed the one I ordered hasn't shipped yet...  Ordered/paid on 1/18

Could anyone post the correct eu-string for Luxor-mining with A3?

Is it:

1) eu.luxor.tech:3333

Or

2) stratum+tcp://eu.luxor.tech:3333?

The username is the wallet (for instance at hitbtc) and password is just an X?

I usually pay UPS around $52.00 per unit. Driver collects and does NOT take CC's. You need a check. Talk about the "dark ages".

I'd suggest getting the Sia coin wallet while your waiting for the miner as you will need the address most likely.

Due to Sia's difficulty hardfork after block 139,000, you must upgrade your Sia wallet software to version 1.3.1 or higher.

Leaving this here for A3 owners, in case they are new to the Sia community: https://www.reddit.com/r/siacoin/comments/7slr57/something_stinks_in_the_world_of_a3s_and_mining/

Even more confusing.  I am getting my A3 in about9 hours... if all goes well at the DHL depot and the hold for pickup.

I was hoping to find a pool that paid in BTC for the A3 hashing.  But looks like that is probably not easy?

Where do I get a sia wallet?

Normally I base my purchasing decisions on stuff like this longer than the 12 seconds I did when I got the phone call in the middle of the night to buy one..  and been to busy to research it properly.  I a m guessing sia.tech is where to download the wallet?  Sia-UI ?   If I go to a pool with sia coin payout, what exchanges can I use to get BTC?    What is your opinion on keeping siacoin instead?  will it too be worth millions? :-P

I use the org. Sia Wallet https://sia.tech/apps/ and Nanopool https://sia.nanopool.org/ to Mine directly in my Sia Wallet on my Desktop

Roughly where are current Profit per day numbers? I saw people posting $390.00 yesterday, but this AM looks like Diff has doubled already.

DO NOT mine with Luxor. They're the TOP supporters of the soft fork.
That means that they want to BRICK your Antminer A3.
So why the heck would you support them and mine with them?

I think Luxor is alright they probably are just trying to keep everybody happy so they have to look pissed off to the Obelisk people that invested in miners with a year waiting time. I talked with them yesterday some on their website chat app, they were happy to see A3 miners and helpful in getting started.

Luxor is not a good pool, they plan to increase fees very soon and only have 0% fee for right now to gain hashrate. The owner takes 90% profit for himself and will donate only 10% to sia team. Plus, the fees he will charge only the big miners a lower fee and will do about 3-5% fee on everyone else.

I got the 2nd miner running now and doubling hash power.

look under miner status page and it gives the chip and control board temp, be careful lowering the fan though.
