I know this has been asked a few times, but this thread is very long and hard to search.

1. What SIA Pools are people planing to mine and in what order? I ask mainly because of the SIA drama, supporting the fork via luxor etc. So what pools should I support with my A3?
     -SiaMining.com
     -nanopool.org ??
     - Huh?
2.  What are the settings used for the other pools. Siamining.com was easy enough to figure out.

i got my A3 Today to, hoocked it up, got an ip but was not accesible. Without all Boards the A3 Webinterface comes up. I manged to get one Board Recognized. As soon as i connect more then that one Board the Webinterface is not accesable anymore and i cannot Ping the Device anymore.

Anyone has a Solution for that?
Can you enter your pool data whitout the hash boards, Save it and after that connect the hash boards and power on the Miner?

Did you restore the factory defaults with press the reset Button 10-15 seconds?

any proof link to 15k A3 sold by Bitmain?

a lot of assumptions here on sold amount, but not a single has a trustable source...

Proof? That's easy. The Bitcoin Cash address they used to receive the payments for the A3's.
Check it out here: https://bch.btc.com/1NrMNvxsDwsQ9DA4styegmTue9tPPsV9bg

The balance is ~19,126 BCH. Which is about 12~15k A3's sold

This coins difficulty is going up higher than the ETH difficulty even

Those who haven't received their ASIC yet must be really feeling it every 30 mins that the difficulty adjusts higher and higher.

It adjusts 0.40% every block. So it will take a while to adjust up to a fair difficulty.

Fun fact: Out of the 15,000+ A3's that Bitmain sold last week, only ~1,700 are currently mining.

No there is no proof. Just the usual rampant forum guess, conjecture and speculation. In all likelihood it's more like 5k between Asia and other countries. People looked at the total Bitmain wallet transfers and extrapolated that number failing to realize that Bitmain sells other products too.

Actually, there's proof. Just check my previous comment.

Instead of allowing someone else to buy directly from Bitmain it seams that you only purchased for the purpose of reselling at a stupid price.

thank you!   Cheesy

i've also took the risk and waited to make sure these things will not become heaters and go obsolete from the Sia Soft fork, before posting my sale thread.
FYI i still have a few units i'm running myself.  Wink

These sold for $2500 or so.

If about 12K were sold then the daily profit should be around $20/day.

Hence its not a bad price, if you got it this week or next.

How do I set up?

1. You will need a SIA Wallet address. Once you get one then change the worker below as that is my address.  Get wallet by downloading sia UI here => https://sia.tech/

https://siamining.com get your ideal URL here => https://siamining.com/help
URL: us-east.siamining.com:3333
Worker: e11210573d02b9f9580c39b14072235f4dd7fdea7b30d373b015c4a2d0f10eaab9c051b279ac
PW: 123

https://sia.luxor.tech/ get your ideal URL here => https://sia.luxor.tech/setup
URL: stratum+tcp://us-west.luxor.tech:3333
Worker: e11210573d02b9f9580c39b14072235f4dd7fdea7b30d373b015c4a2d0f10eaab9c051b279ac
PW: 123

Optionaly, on both siamining and luxor you can add a worker by adding a dot followed by worker name after your wallet address.

You can also mine on nanopool and possible nicehash, but I do not have these figured out. For more details visit:
https://sia.nanopool.org/help
https://www.nicehash.com/asic-mining

*Note - If I put in improper settings it will not my A3 start mining even if my first pool is correct.

My stats if anyone found this useful and wants to donate a little miner time:

I obviously don’t post often, but I’m hoping my own frustration and success may help others.

I ordered several A3’s that arrived this morning - no problem. Connected to Siamining - no problem. Mined nearly all day - great. Around 3 hours ago, 1 of the asics kept crashing with xxxx on all hash boards. I rebooted it and it was good for 30 mins and it crashed again. Now I’m getting a little nervous and irritated, but only 1 unit is doing this. I check it out a little more and note the temps on the pcb and chip are far higher on this unit than the rest. I have no idea why - same batch, firmware, pool, everything. I reboot a couple more times with it crashing after 30 mins before I have to do something. The chip temp keeps hitting 107 while the other asics are hovering around 94.

Good or bad, to solve the problem, I lowered the frequency from 600 to 500 and voila, the temps are now in the same range as the rest of the A3’s at full frequency. I’m only pulling 680-700 instead of 815, but at least my unit won’t crash every 30 mins now... thanks Bitmain.

nevermind, reseted it once again, reconnected all hash Boards and now it is hashing nicely.
