just got mine hooked up
PCB temps 57, 57, 61
Chip temps 77, 79, 84
running at 525 AVG 729 gh/s
your temps are almost the exact same as mine at 668 w/ 927 ghs avg (shown in this video) https://youtu.be/WlWEc9CxpBgWhat are your HW errors and chip temps when overclocking your A3? On 668 a lot of hw errors 650 produced significantly less and still hashed higher - on my phone right now but I post my miner dash in that video

You must have hit the bin lottery. My units at default freq would run at like 85-90C with 30F input.

I feel bad for the Obelisk buyers, they're really screwed unless SC price goes through the roof. ROI is drastically decreasing as more miners come online. ROI is now $75/day.
Their future market risk - no guilt acquired lol I still feel bad for people that bought the D3

It is negative 10 degree outside, and A3 is running in storage space near window.
Default frequency / 90% fan
FCB temp 35-38 Chip temp 58-64
each hashing board, 30 HW per hour

Based upon what I've been reading across multiple threads, if you own one of these, I would definitely underclock it unless you got some amazing cooling in front of it
Under clock by how much?? Any ideas? I am about to leave town and don't want this thing blowing up. Anyone have a good setting to put it on? On default setting (600) it seems to be overclocking. I'm averaging over the stated 815, but also getting a lot of HW errors and chip temps seem high especially since L3+ says keep under 80 C. Any suggested settings would be helpful. Yup, just like the D3's. They knew these units were going to have a limited shelf life. They're definitely overclocked. You can tell by the numbers that they are running at redline. I would strongly recommend against overclocking these. Not only for the miner's sake. They're drawing a LOT of watts and amps. If your breakers and wiring aren't extremely robust, you could be playing with fire. Literally. Especially all these folks in here talking about running these beasts on 120v. Bad bad idea. Care to explain about why running on 120v is a bad idea? I am running on 120 V but not with just 1 PSU. Instead I am using 2 PSUs - one APW3 (to power 2 boards and main) and one EVGA 750 BQ (to power third board). Power cables are 14 AWG and extension cord is 12 AWG. I am also using a surge protector. EVGA is pulling 465 watts. APW3 is pulling 940 W. Making it 1405 W total. Which is still under 80% of max (120 V x 15 A = 1800 W). I am making sure that nothing else is running continuously on that breaker (once in a while a LED lamp or a iPhone charger). Frequency set at default but manually set fan to 100%. PCB temperature varies from 55-65 and Chip temperature varies from 70-80. Mining at 815 GHS. You have done it exactly correct. I suspect your an extreme minority. You also are NOT OCing the unit.

here my data
Speed. 840.88 GHs Temp(PCB): 74 74 79 Temp(Chip): 88 89 96 Fan Speed: 3,570 Customize the fan speed percentage is aktivated ro 55% Noise is very good, is rather quiet
14000 SIA sinze the miner is running
And, i will hold all the coins over the next 1-2 years and sia will rise up to XXXX :-)
for me would be ok if just double lol double ? you cant be serious, Its crazy to sell any sia until it hits at least a $1 at this point the hashrate is about go go parabolic, it soon will be like dash when the obelisk Asics launch -unminable by gpu and even 800 gh nets like 100 sia or less a day im dead serious: 1. Sia is not Dash (Dash is hyped and heavily supported top-10 coin) 2. To get to 1$ Sia needs a miracle, but now all i see is spontaneous and emotional statements by their management - not good for coin price (even though they decided not to fork Sia - seed is sowed) 3. Obelisk production is now under big question - same hashrate as A3 in March or later make no sense at all (i'd quickly re-arrange algos/techs or return money to customers) 4. Hashrate will not go parabolic - it will grow upon new A3 connection to pools double for a price target smells of FUD to me , heck it was tripple what it was back in dec when all alts pumped and your price target is a double ?! gimme a break lol , that basically invalidates every one of your other points , its mostly pros here bruh , not knee jerking newbies we know bs when we see it 😂 Where do you see price going? its pointless to sell any sia till it hits at least .35 cents personally ill hold for .50

You must have hit the bin lottery. My units at default freq would run at like 85-90C with 30F input. I got my room temp down to 18C and the chips were doing 67-78 with about 0.01% HW errors over an 18h period. The fans were set to auto finally and were at about 4100rpm. I ran at a slight under clock, 587.

anyone know of a simple sound proof setup that doesn't require venting air outside?
I don't know, They're so loud I can hear it on the second floor from the basement. It's intolerable. There are good YouTube videos on silencing Antminers. Two options, use a cooler or just get a large plastic tub at Home Depot/Hardware store. Use insulated ducting to suck air in and exhaust out. Pack enclosure with fiberglass or acoustic foam. Do put some type of filter on the air intake. I had to scramble to get one put together yesterday but it really cuts down on noise.
