probably because the price of bitcoin and ethereum goes down so people sell their altcoin to switch to bitcoin or ethereum, and that's why altcoin prices go down, and bitcoin and ethereum prices go down because those who sell them panic when they see bitcoin and ethereum go down a bit and sell it straight away for fear it will not rise again (according to my prediction).

Because Bitcoin is dropping. It's dropping due to loss of interest to it. Newbies are not buying it because of the price and hard mining. Also it hasn't changed at all since it was invented. Investors prefer coins that develop and become more advanced over the time.

I agree with your opinion this is all happening because people start panic with bitcoin price down so many people sell it, so that's the bitcoin price down

The Chinese government is about to close exchanges and ban bitcoin transactions, and China's trading volume is huge for the world's bitcoin exchanges.

any body know the reason for current drop?

This is natural process of going down in these days. What I mean by this is straight and simple, they are dropping due to various market corrections as well as few of the bans that incurred last week. This includes Korean exchangers going down. This is fact that Korea had largest volume of bitcoin and due to sudden crash of the exchanger everything was settled to down as lots of panic sells happened and the effect of which can be clearly seen on the market.

Adding to this I have also noticed that bitcoin went down last year at the same months and again came back sooner than we could have thought about it. So yeah it’s completely natural and we don’t have to worry much about it.

yes I agree with you, if we look at the btc chart at the beginning of the year in previous years have the same decline, besides some countries banned cyptocurencies, and ultimately effect on altcoin too, just wait and do not panic.

Because China and South Korea want to regulate the cryptomarket. This scares off many investors and the price goes down.
But that is quite normal and I estimate that the market will be back to normal in the next few weeks. You should not let that confuse you.
All you can do now is hold your coins!

There are rumors that China wants to ban the circulation of cybercrime in itself in the country, and therefore panic has gone, and many sell their coins by doing and destabilize the market.

The crash in the price of all cryptocurrencies is because of the government crackdown worries. There is a fear in Cryptocurrency market because of the regulatory aspects. South Korea Government is planning to impose a ban on cryptocurrency exchanges in the country. South Korea is one of the countries where craze for Cryptocurrency is very high and it accounts for a significant global trade volume for all Cryptocurrencies.

it is just pure panic at the moment,
but its great for people who are in for the long haul because there is good value now.
There is a bit of positivity here and there,
SIA is going well at the moment on Bittrex and BTDX is going well on cryptopia

Becuse the price of bitcoin is dropping and people are afraid so they will sell what they have. After a while, they may calm down and buy in some coin again and they price will rise.

In my recent post I have said that Every Altcoins will be affected by the sudden drop of bitcoin because bitcoin is the father of all Cryptocurrency and the value of altcoin is base on bitcoin just like how fiat currency is base on dollar, And all of them required the exchange of bitcoin when bitcoin sudden surge up or down Altcoins will be affected by a sudden fluctuation, That is why most altcoins reacted this way.

I think it is because of chinas plan on banning all domestic and foreign centralized cryptocurrency exchanges and they want to shutdown bitcoin mining that creates fear to some investors from their country but nothing to worry about because cryptocurrency market will recover, but no one knows when. south korea also plans to ban domestic exchanges so this may be also the reason why all coins are dropping right now.

Like everyone else is saying, Many governments trying to find ways to regulate or ban BTC (Chine, Korea, and US partly). Not to mention the entire Bitconnect platform collapsing on it's investors. Many people are just wanting to cash out any and all possible gains they have made at this point by panic selling. The price of BTC is far too high for it's purpose at this point and those invested over 1m at the beginning of last year can literally dip the market into red, all it takes is a few more of those kinds of investors to follow and some FUD and we get a flash crash.

we alll know that already. but maybe the real question is why bitcoin and all altcoins are dropping? so how you'll answer that question? I think it was because people move to bch, but bch itself fall down. So I still haven't get any answer of it why all coin are dropping  including bitcoin itself.
