Most people say it's because of China / Korea but I think the coils will eventually balance out. It's just a temporary trend for now.

Lot's of alts only trade against BTC or ETH. While these two going down, the dollar value of the alts go down too. But some of the alts are still worth the same calculated in BTC or ETH Smiley

This is because history is repeating itself.... It happens like this almost at the beginning of every year... All these news about korea and china are just forms of market manipulation. My own thought though, what did i know?

any body know the reason for current drop?
I think this is all because of the Bitcoin ban in some countries. The prohibition of the use of Bitcoin has an impact on the decline in Bitcoin prices, thus automatically lowering the price of Altcoin. Perhaps I would like to speculate that during these 4 days we have gained an incredible wave. Prices go up very little, but the decline is very high. I am wondering if this happens continuously then it is not impossible that the next few days Bitcoin price could decrease again.

I am glad this huge correction is happening, we really need to get rid of the stupid money and start making some sense with our investments. It seems that everyone is on the idea of getting rich doing nothing and knowing nothing.

Well I don't think you can get rich knowing nothing, at least you should be able to do easy prognoses of the price otherwise you will just loose all the money on silly investments (panic selling or buying the scam coins).

There is a possibility that they the government in Korea will ban trading in cryptocurrencies. I would not care about that too much; if so there will be another country that will support it. I read an article yesterday that capital gains in Belarus are not taxed for five years so don't worry. It's a nice opportunity to buy some altcoins, e.g. aelf and request network.

The reason for the current dump is:

- Regulation related ill news from China and Indonesia. Looks like bitcoin is dying for 100,000,000,000th. time!  Grin

- Chinese new year is close.

No worries though. Will reverse soon enough. Smiley

There is some regulation in place, but don't worry and take the opportunities to refill some good project.

The biggest reason for this may be developments in South Korea. I hope the problems are resolved as soon as possible and the rise starts.

I think this is a natural thing, in the past bitcoin also dropped but we can see it rise again.

the many issues and fears of the bank owners because they are threatened with the decrease in their income due so many people are now interested to invest in cryptocurrency

make them act to take down the progress of cryptocurrency by influencing government against cryptocurrency. So this is a natural

So it is completely natural.

I think the recent bad news may have affected investor sentiment. However, everything will go through and stabilize again.

All alternate coins might be dropping because of the dropped price of Bitcoin and Ethereum. All of this tokens will be affected because it is their basis for their own price. If their prices goes down, we can still support them and make sure that their prices still goes up.

the current price drop is a natural thing. as we all know, bitcoin and altcoin prices are never stable. because the price depends on the consumer itself, for example if the amount of goods a little and the buyer is very much, then certainly the price will be expensive because it starts to rare, and vice versa.

Some bad news from China and North Korea, lots of people are selling in panic.

They are on panic now, most of the people are selling their holdings because they see bitcoin and other altcoins is down especially the new traders, but for the veteran traders they just hold and buy the deep.
