Because of bad news from China and Korea about cryptocurrecy. And Bitcoin price dropping happens every year in January (check coinmarketcap).

probably because the price of bitcoin and ethereum goes down so people sell their altcoin to switch to bitcoin or ethereum, and that's why altcoin prices go down, and bitcoin and ethereum prices go down because those who sell them panic when they see bitcoin and ethereum go down a bit and sell it straight away for fear it will not rise again (according to my prediction).
Recently, a couple of days ago, almost all coins dropped and few of them are still dropping. There are too many reasons for current crypto market fluctuation.

-          News about prohibition on Bitcoin trade by China Central bank

-          Similar news from Korea

-          Miner movement from China / Korea to other countries

-          Drop in Bitcoin and Ethereum, caused panic and people pulled out their investment put in other alts and crypto than these two and purchase Bitcoin & Ethereum to get more profits later.

Altcoins are dropping its value tremendously because of the value deflation of bitcoin. They are affected by it because we use bitcoin as an exchange for fiat money or to our local money. That is why bitcoin price greatly affects altcoins price. Why bitcoin price decrease? It is because of the conflict in China and in Korea. The information is in google, search about it so you could learn to know by yourself and be independent.

any body know the reason for current drop?

maybe this is caused because most people are too hasty when selling altcoin them, whereas it is not necessary,so panic when all the market prices fall and remain confident that this is only temporary.

All coins (for the moment at least) orbit around bitcoin and will be influenced by whatever happens to bitcoin. This will alter over time as Bitcoin becomes a smaller and smaller proportion of the total crypto market cap.

All were dropping because bitcoin was not stable and not growing and going down that is why everything starts to drop as bitcoin was down. But now I am sure bitcoin is stable and started to grow for sure if you hold your coins you will get good profits when bitcoin will grow.

That is what I am thinking about.
It is all about mentality and sentiment.
Whenever bitcoin crashes, altcoins crashes harder.
Whenever bitcoin pumps, altcoins pumps harder.
So we should know what to do when crash happen next time.

The thing with South Korea and China is undeniable but the dropping of their prices is actually part of the natural process. They are volatile to begin with. We can't blame those who panic sell though they also contribute somehow to this dropping phenomena. But don't worry. Things are starting to go back to normal.

The number one virtual currency is crushing so it's just right that altcoins follow, because most of the coins price are base on Bitcoin.
But there are various reason to look into why coins experience this huge drop.News of the Chinese government banning crypto miners,South Korea follows by banning crypto trading, negative news like this,FUD sink-in to people,so they panic sell their virtual coins hodling.
Supply overcome demand, then price of Bitcoin go down with that.
But nothing to worry now market looks promising and stabilizing at the moment.Let's hope it continues that way.

In my current post I have said that Each Altcoins will be influenced by the sudden drop of bitcoin on the grounds that bitcoin is the father of all Cryptographic money and the estimation of altcoin is base on bitcoin simply like how fiat cash is base on dollar, And every one of them required the trading of bitcoin when bitcoin sudden surge up or down Altcoins will be influenced by a sudden variance, That is the reason most altcoins responded along these lines.

Many reasons Whales cashed out on their futures positions. The drop in price scared all the noobs & triggered more selloffs. Normal market movement if you ask me. Now it's bouncing back! Hope you all got some of that cheap BTC & every other Crypto that got slaughtered Cheesy

There has been dropping in bitcoin value in last 6 days. Since the Bitcoin is the foundation of this coin business the news about Bitcoin increasing or decreasing always affect the other crypto coins as well.

Some county ban the coin. So that the reason for all coin prices down on time. So you will check the market places then you will get more information for the prices list. So you will check the prices day by day.

Examples:
If most of the peoples release the bitcoin. It will down the prices. It incres the prices. But country ban the any one coin it will affect the all coin prices in Market place.
Thats true you can see some countries in the world forbid bitcoin or any cryptocurrency. for example in some countries in asia today as korea prohibits trading of cryptocurrency and china prohibits bitcoin, Indonesia prohibits transaction bitcoin and cryptocurrency is used because indicated used for money laundering. I think from this case makes a lot of people become frightened and sell their coins so that the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency to go down very deep..

This is caused by many factors. It is possible that the drop in the price of bitcoin and Ethereum leads to the drop of the price of altcoin. It may also be related to the national policy. China and South Korea have started to ban cryptocurrencies. It is also suggested that newcomers do not accept bitcoin and thus indirectly lead to The price of all coins are dropped.

if you can take a profit then maybe you can sell it for now and wait for any dip that might be happen but if you cannot make any profit and only get loss then my advice is just waiting for a while until you can see that you are going to make a profit. it is not good if you decide to take out of your investment because as far as I know, the investment is something that will run for a long-term and we are not going to tempting to sell our investment if the time to sell has not comes.

I think none, maybe some minor correction but nonetheless a crash. Are you late with the dip this week like you didn't buy everything when it's on the floor? Too bad because the bear trap has ended and bull run will come to our way so expect more pump.
