I think that being a virgin before the wedding is even harmful. I believe that a person should choose a partner not only in appearance, in communication, but also in compatibility in bed, otherwise it can lead to cheating in marriage.

The youth does not really bother about the virginity anymore rather they like it if people are experienced.

I also agree with the view that virginity is no longer important in today's society. But I would never go to the extent and claim that the youth nowadays prefer "experienced" partners. I have talked to a lot of boys, and they would chose a girl with just one or two previous sex partners to one who had dozens.

Depends on the culture of your country or religion. But for me its okay to lose your virginity before you get married. Sex is a normal activity for couples. Losing virginity wont define the strength of marriage. Lets throw that mentality away.

As a woman who fear God, it is important to keep your body free from any immorality.  Your goal is to live a holy life and preserve your body for someone who deserves it. It's a woman's choice to keep her virginity and to avoid pre marital sex.  If you want to be worthy to your future husband, she will take care of it.

I think any man want to be the first on his wife.  They are proud of it. It will boost their ego. There are still some man who look for a virgin woman whom they will want to spent their life with.  That's good. It's their preference.

How virginity is going to bring people closer? Do you check the virginity of your female friends every time you meet? How do you do that? Many people are forgetting that virginity must be applicable to the men as well. It is not that the men can have as much sex they want before the marriage and the women should stay as home and wait till the marriage.

I do highly agree with you that we must value virginity since sex is considered sacred and must be done with love within the context of marriage. But  sad to say that today's society especially the teenagers are becoming more liberated and sex has become casual. Time will come that sex will no longer be seen as sacred and as an object of pleasure. How about men? I think it's wrong to expect more when you yourself isn't worthy to receive it.

People can respect you even if you are not virgin and it should not matter, it should be your attitude towards others/husband/wife that matters and not your imperfections.

No. It is not a sign of purity. If a girl is pure, then she will behave kindly with the other people and she will be faithful to her husband once she is married. You can't label someone as "impure" just because they had sex with someone whom they love.

Virginity is said to be the greatest gift a future wife can give to his future husband. It'll be an honor for a husband if his wife will give his virginity to him. But then, you don't really marry a person just because of sex, that is just what we call a bonus of the package. You marry someone because you want to spent the rest of of your life with him/her. Marriage is about accepting a person fully including all his/her flaws and stay with him/her through thick and thin.

In short, if she did it before marriage/contract, it's fine, but if she do it after the wedding, then it is adultery.
