I agree with your statement in terms of its principles, but it doesn't mean that you can't make some short term money off of coins that you don't necessarily understand. If the indicators show that the price will increase for the upcoming few days, you can enter and exit and make some quick money.

I'm mostly in a long term hold for projects I believe will push thru especially as time goes by. I'm not much into shitcoins but I hold some just for profit. I diversify my investments and not put all my eggs in one basket just to be a little bit safe.
