Mining with ccminer and nvidia 1070 rig...cpu consumption at 99% not good ...please fix in short time!

Is my CPU the problem? Look my hashrate all different some as low as 250kh/s

I have a Pentium G4600

I only found this coin today when a thread from sub-reddit /r/garlicoin showed up on my feed.

There are many things wrong with this coin, for one it's another memecoin, seems to be developed on discord, huge pet peeve of mine, as development is not properly documented on discord versus a forum.

Premined (but supposedly all will be air dropped, good luck trusting that), uses scrypt:10 (more ASIC resistant).

Lot's of basic information is missing on main site and reddit, only this thread provides it.

Seems to have hype, probably a pump and dump situation.

Small chance to be some type of a intermediate like dogecoin to avoid fees on exchanges perhaps?

I think it's pretty clear from the start that this coin has really nothing solid in it.
So no high expectations from them.
Maybe for trading purposes only like doge (which you can use to transfer if you want to avoid high btc tx fee), as what you mentioned.
And if there's onion, of course garlic will be there. LOL

How is ASIC resistance a bad thing?

Sorry I meant it mostly as a good thing, just listed the pros and cons too closely.

Completely agree with you, nothing special yet with hype alone it might become useful for trading. Might bridge the gap perhaps between say dogecoin & litecoin, because there is a major spread there.

It's going to depend on how dependable the developers are & how much hype this coin can get.

So far it hasn't hit any major exchange, started at something like $3 per a coin, now seems to be going around $1.

I can say the draw for me has been the community. I've been involved with crypto for a bit now, but with this one, the subreddit always has questions, and obscure ones, like how to consolidate transactions under one address, and the real effect of having 10k different transactions sitting in the wallet and how that will effect the price/byte of transactions. It has been a fresh learning experience.

And it's fun!

Yeah I have the same problem, added more GPU's and hash rate went down as the CPU utilisation went up.

Changing intensity -i around might up the hashrate but won't help with 100% CPU usage.

If you need to use your computer also so 100% CPU is not acceptable set --cpu-affinity 0 to set the program to only use CPU core 0 if your CPU is multicore, this will lower hash rate most likely.

Otherwise if anyone knows how to lower CPU utilisation with negatively impacting for CCMiner it would be appreciated.

Smf. wrong. At this algo 1070 give ~450, 1080ti ~650, so look that you 2 times test 1080ti  Wink

You just convinced me to try again

But it still looks... a bit off

yes --cpu-affinity got better cpu consumption....obviously slow hash
