Is there any way to fix the huge CPU load? I have an I7-8600k at 4500 and still with just 4 GPU I use the CPU at 100%.

Any help would be appreciated

Why is this suddenly called a scam?

Facts:
- There is no solid proof of an ASIC on the network and if this EVER happens a switch to scrypt:11 can be made later in the future
- The airdrop is in progress literally right now are you blind there is a big thread on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/garlicoin/comments/7v3qr2/the_official_garlicoin_airdrop/
- Scrypt:10 = 2048. Do the math: 2^(n+1)

Also for those not up to date:

- There is NOT going to be a hardfork and there is none planned in the near future

For example this ASIC https://github.com/KnCMiner/titan/releases support Scrypt-N up to N 14. Look at source - Fact.

Very nice proof indeed. The KnCminer Titan has been a total failure, they are not being produced anymore and are dying by pieces.
On top of that, they aren't even THAT fast doing ScryptN. Its nothing like Bitcoin had with the first ASICS and won't ever be due the need of a high memory (bandwidth)

Look at ebay, all the listings (and they are pretty rare) almost all have one or more dead die on the cubes. On top of that, they usually have burned PCI power plugs because the hardware design was so bad it pulled too much power through the +12V connectors.

The fact that there's not going to be a fork is what's killing Garlicoin, really. The devs forked it with an algo that's flawed and still went on to advertise as ASIC resistant. Isn't that suspicious? Ok, let's attribute that to incompetence. I'll give them that... But if Garlicoin is not forked to an ASIC resistant algo soon it really is a dead coin. There really is no scrypt-n coin with an active community right now, the reason being that anyone with an ASIC could dominate the network and bring transactions to a halt by a 51% attack.

No coin can live with that being even a remote possibility. It makes it vulnerable to attacks and the immutability of the chain is basically gone. All the good features of decentralization are basically compromised under such an attack vector being open. You're a pool operator, you oughta know this... I take it that you're at least a bit more knowledgeable that the coin's developer but why be in denial? All the proof you need to have is out there.

https://web.archive.org/web/20140814181936/https://www.hashcoins.com/product/hashcoins-notus/
https://web.archive.org/web/20150421022449/https://www.hashcoins.com/product/hashcoins-triton/

Do you even realize that a party holding a handful of miners could do a 51% attack on Garlicoin? Its chain is worthless.

It's not inconceivable that there are a number of working ASICs out there. The devs themselves owning ASICs or being paid by ASIC owners would be pretty wild, though. In any event, I think the benefit of hard forking to change the algorithm and remove all doubts outweighs the hassle of hard forking.

How fast do you think those miners are exactly? Because I get the feeling that you think Scrypt-N asic miners easily beat 1000+ GPUs. (Which it doesn't)

Please look into the bare hardware requirements of calculating 1 scryptn:10 hash, there is no way this can be done without also having a massive amount of silicon on board which will make it very failure prone and super expensive to produce. Why would someone buy a MASSIVE amount of scrypt-n ASIC miners (which again DO NOT exist in such quantities since not a lot were sold and most of them died already) which such a high failure rate

Once again I'm more convinced you're just trying to spread FUD or are just thick. It's well known that none of the miners were ever released. (Guess why? Its incredibly hard to make them and the production costs are so high)

You're even linking to web.archive.org because the original live source doesn't show the miner anymore wtf

In any event, I think the benefit of hard forking to change the algorithm and remove all doubts outweighs the hassle of hard forking.

Sounds like a movie plot, I'd say pitch it to Hollywood maybe you will make some money to buy the non-existing asics with.

A hardfork will not do the coin well in an early stage and without any real proof (other then scam companies and dead chips) there is no reason to act to it.

what about the ones who invested in Garlicoin?
Invested? It wasn't an ico. Free airdrop is not an investment.

you can still buy it on the exchange. thats an investment too you know

Well, yeah. The developers have proven incapable of handling such situations already. They knew that the release of such a coin under a big community like that could derive value full well. Yet went on to pre-mine in such an unorganized manner that a rogue developer stole 40k coins from the pre-mine.

To add insult to injury, the algorithm they advertised as ASIC prood is ironically one of the least secure ones against ASIC and considered obselote for that purpose since 2014 or so. A dew rare mining machines could dominate Garlicoin's network and bring it down using this serious attack vector.

I do not trust the developers anymore and I don't see how they could have overlooked something so serious. Now that it has even been revealed to them it seems like there is no rush to address such a serious issue. Garlicoin is doomed under those conditions and the managment of incompetent developers.

There can't be definitive proof of ASICs being on the network and that's really besides the point here. Miners can disguise their hashrate, solo mine etc. But even under those conditions we see absurd hashates from the top minees on pools.

The fact that developers falsely advertised the coin as ASIC proof is really what matters. The coin's chain is under constant threat of attack this way and the ASICs already in existence could do so easily. Not to mention that such an algorithm would allow for the creation of further ASICs.

I'm sorry but the more comments I read from you the more I realize that it's a case of poor Due Diligence.

1). Your entire claim is based on one speculative Reddit post. If you read the comment section of that post, you would realize how wrong /u/kamencco (the OP) was (i.e. not fully understanding what scrypt-n is).
2). Taking a step back (assume GRLC isn't ASIC resistant). The coin started off as a meme coin. To most ppl (probably even the devs), scrypt-n is analogous to ASIC-resistant. It's highly defamatory to accuse the devs as scammers. They clearly didn't intend to use "ASIC resistance" as the platform to rip other redditors off. (Of course, there might be a rogue dev right now but I'm pretty sure you weren't specifically describing him).

It's fine to hate GRLC and give constructive criticisms about the coin. However, it's unfair to make sweeping accusations about the coin (i.e. calling it a scam). Also, note that GRLC is a month old meme coin. So please make balanced comparison with decade old currency disruptor like bitcoin.

Garlicoin was released and marketed as ASIC resistant with the devs either willfully lying or being ignorant. Either would be extremely irresponsible ans showcases their incompetence. "ASIC resistance" is still on the official website...

Garlicoin is NOT ASIC resistant and the developers lied about this. Facts, not speculation. It's sad to be coming to this realization but the truth has to come out.

Keep on saying that its not ASIC resistant does not suddenly make it "Facts". You cited zero sources other than that heavily debunked reddit post. If you hate GRLC, that's completely fine. Just don't influence other people with your unsupported belief by having that red, bolded warning sign on the first page and the [scam] title.
