Unzipped this wallet, runned the .exe and Windows started to ring all the bells: windows defender prevented it from running. Did the same in a computer that I had nothing important installed and ignored windows defender (Run anyway). It did nothing on foreground. Windows defender again popped saying that there were threats: trojan. Task manager says the wallet is running , but nothing on foreground.

Really bad experience so far. Any thoughts?

I have a thought....you've never done this before

Well...  that didn`t happen with gobyte, bulwark, desire, straks, sparks, innova, vivo and I few other wallets I don`t remember the name now (lots of masternode questionable projects to say the least). Actually this happened to me once before with Voxels and I didn`t take the risk. So, why is this coin different for windows?  Anyway I`ll try ubuntu following advice of wudafuxup.

EDIT:  Having a miner executable inside the wallet is probably the difference right?
Any luck?

I read the White Paper and have to say that I love this coin! I hope the IPFS integration is released early. It will be a great step forward for Stellite and cryptocurrencies in general. Any information on upcoming exchanges? I live in the US and Crex doesn't seem to work here Undecided

I'm on my work laptop. I'll see what I can do at home. Kind of suspicious to have Tor installed on your work computer. VPNs are overall illegal at my job and we have a zero-tolerance policy, which is terrible Tongue

Understandable but at home you're the boss so it will be doable from there.
Go for the Tor browser btw would be my advice it's most user friendly.

GUI wallet, ESET pics up as a virus.  Is the Wallet fine?

Hi kyton yes the wallet if fine just follow below instructions for it to work properly.
Your AV is seeing the inbuild miner which is in the code but is not enabled by default.

https://wiki.stellite.cash/index.php?title=Stellite_Wiki#Stellite_Wallet

Extract the GUI wallet in a directory with no spaces like c:\stellitewallet or d:\wallet.
Exclude this directory from your antivirus as it will show a miner inside stellited.exe which is correct.
This file is needed to connect to the blockchain and without it the wallet wil fail.
Mining is standard not enabled you can change that in the Cli enviroment with commando start_mining.
Don't remove any files from the downloaded wallet GUI or add any files or folders.
When you startup wallet.exe check if stellitd.exe is running in the background via taskmanager. If not first step is check is did your antivirus blocked it.
Double check again if you are using a directory without any spaces and if you started wallet.exe with Administrator rights.
Also check if the stellite wallet is allowed access to the internet in your firewall.
It's advisable not to load both the GUI and Cli version at the same time because both need access to stellited.exe

I raised the issue once before but nobody got back to me. Don't you agree that the logo looks astonishingly similar to that of Snovio? I bet they had a close look at that logo at least Wink

Our logo is round and has a different layout.
Sure we are also using the color purple ;-) so its understandable if you think it looks a bit similar.

Thankfully we are at least not a token but a real coin with no ICO and you are able to join into the fun Cheesy

I think in a business world where big brands compete with each other you would have a hard time in front of a court to defend your design against that of Snovio. Luckily for you, we are not in that world of corporates protecting their brands yet. Wink

Just google similar logo's and you'll be surprised how much logo's look a like or use same design.

That is why I said in the world of big corporates there would be war just about a logo Smiley You won't have that problem here but you probably know what I am talking about Smiley

For me it's XMW-stak-2.2.0. Got a few more hashes per GPU and it takes the CPU out for a spin too. Example: GTX1070 8GB went from 675 to 700hs in comparisson to ccminer-2.2.4-tpruvot.

I'm a CPU miner. Tried mining with XMR-Stak, currently mining with XMRig. For me, Stak was much harder to setup and felt slower altogether. XMRig seems very stable and works like a charm. I recommend XMRig enormously.

XMRig seems to be the easiest, especially for newbies.

Going to try that one tonight for the CPU's.

I run everything on auto config in XMR-STAK-2.2.0 and did not find a lot to tune. The i7 6700k runs @ 320-340hs in XMR on auto config.

Yea I've been watching the prices on Crex24 pretty closely. The price is almost always at 2 sats. It broke to 3 sats several times yesterday. Keep in mind this is on a fairly small exchange. The price won't stay this low for long. Best take advantage of it  Grin
