Korea decide to ban bitcoin Do you know ? In response to a recent Republic of Korea (ROK) bureaucrat’s statement, causing mainstream media to roar about a “ban” on bitcoin, the South Korean street riled to virtual barricades. Citizens flooded petition signatures to the President. Social media contained oceans of angry comments demanding the offending minister’s sacking. The pressure grew so intense, agencies within the same government began contradicting one another, ending with an official presidential announcement no “ban” was forthcoming

Every day the number of people and countries who are ready to accept the bitcoin as a currency is getting higher and higher. Also, those countries who prefered to stay away would regret later since the bitcoin has so many advantages.

Hmm, it seems kinda strange that China blocked Bitcoin because this country is one of leading powers in the world now. But I do think that as time goes by chinese officials will change their decision. Bitcoin and cryptos, blockchain - it`s our reality, it`s present time, it`s an opportunity that shouldn`t be ignored. At leasr it should be given a chance. Wink

Countries keep banning bitcoin but what I want to know is what measures are kept in place to ensure that one uses or owns bitcoin. Do the these bans actually work or there are just used to declare a countries displeasure towards bitcoin. I ask because if my country for instance bans bitcoin, I can still keep and use my bitcoin without anyone knowing. How do they enforce these bans?

I live in Ukraine. We now have on the agenda the introduction of cryptocurrency and the use of blockchain technology.I am very happy about that.I hope other countries will develop in this direction. It is foolish to prohibit and even more to put in prison for the use of cryptocurrency

Let's start with Nepal. Recently, the financial regulator of the country Nepal Rastra Bank completely banned any operations with cryptocurrencies, seeing them as a threat to its economy. The authorities reinforced their decision with the arrest of a dozen people allegedly involved in the management of crypto-exchanges in Nepal.

Ecuador has outlawed bitcoin — but not because the authorities were against the idea of cryptocurrencies. Deto is that they wanted to fully control bitcoin and bind its rate to the us dollar, which, incidentally, is officially a local currency. This idea failed, and Ecuador went even further and created a national cryptocurrency, of course, fully controlled by the authorities.

Nepal is among the countries that forbid bitcoin because it threatens the economy I wonder why it can make the ban ,the economy is the need of every country but bitcoin cannot destroy the economy that is often discussed by the government of the country It makes no sense to me?

In general, Japan, Singapore, Britain and Australia are relatively friendly to bitcoin. The situation in the United States is more complex, with different attitudes in different states. But the mainstream is regulation; Russia and Thailand have experienced a strict ban on gradual relaxation. Regulation is under way in South Korea.

Although several regulatory agencies issued warnings to investors about the serious risks associated with digital currencies, bitcoins are largely unregulated. Many regulators agree that bitcoin laws are necessary to protect investors from serious risk. However, federal authorities are split on whether to regulate bitcoins as a currency or an asset.
