It is best to have children manage their own money from an early age. When they want something, do not buy them, tell them to learn how to buy the toy,
Are you crazy,if a kid wants a toy you will tell him how to learn to buy a toy,is that what your parents said to you, there are levels in which you implement things to a kid, first and foremost he or she have to understand what you are trying to teach ,making them responsible and aware of things is one thing and asking a kid to think about buying a toy is another.  Cheesy

I don't think he's being crazy, mate. Maybe you just misunderstood what he wants to tell us. Of course, if very young child, he or she cannot manage his or her own money without the guidance of their parents. But as time pass by they will learn when they see how their parents manage the money in a proper way. They should be taught how important to manage money and how to manage it so that in the long run they will just do it without asking for any guidance.

There are times that the qouta can not be reached because of some unfortunate incidents or events that can affect the business. Having knowledgei in the business field can be an asset to you for your own business. Having attitudes towards business can lead you to success. Financial education is so helpful for one person to have the skills on solving problems regarding th business. It is important to have financial education for the success.

The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.

Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.

What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?

I agree. Unfortunately, that aspect is only open to business courses. Intensive discussion of that topic, even on collegiate level, is not entertained or given importance, especially on courses that don't actually have it under its curriculum. I agree that in this world today, having knowledge in finance is a good thing to help a person be careful and smart in handling his money. The problem with many people today is they spend money more than they can earn, some even spend without virtually the money to back it up. That manner of spending may be changed if kids are educated on how they should handle their finances.
Financial education is good for all people who are running business to track and plan the way points of their money to be more profitable, but in simplest way of living maybe it depends upon the strategy of a persons towards life on how they handle their money to maximize all the assets to fit of what is the daily needs and have some savings for emergency needs.

not easy to run the business that we will live.
Running a business is very much in need of very mature thinking or strong enough speculation.
adults will discuss for that matter.
I do not think Children will understand if we dig about the financial world because they are still looking for fun.
Maybe when they grow up they will think about the world of business or financial administration by itself.

I think the best thing to do is to let the little children learn at least the basic ideas about budgeting the income inside one's family or home and allow them to plan what are things that are most important to buy during the whole day, week and or month.

I think the best way for the youth to get interested in financial education is to always expose them as often as possible. I remember a Chinese friend of mine, alongside academic studies, their parents usually trains then on the business side, how to start up and how to make their businesses that is why if you will notice, most of the business tycoons are Chinese. Children as little as their ate should be taught how to handle finances. Start by letting them save some pennies from their weekly allowance. Once they get a hang of it, let them conceptualize a business that they can offer even to their classmates. From there they will learn the value of money.

I know in my country that  there is always a subject in every level of education that teaches the children about finance but that alone have not been able to salvage the situation because most of those theories are not applicable in real life situation.
This is really amazing because children can learn fast and actively in schools more accurately and with a lot of interest that in home, if we will teach then such kind of thing in early age then at mature age our children will be aware of all financial things like they will know investment and trading, which is good as now most of people are not financially educated so they are not able to get what we want to teach them about their life.

We will not directly or purely teach the the whole thing because as an older person to the children that we have in our family and society, we should help them by spreading the different kinds of positive effect of having a financial education and why it is very important for them to learn how to do it properly so the as the time comes for them then their mature hood will not become a problem.

We all know that education is the very important things that our parents will give us. But in some dillemas, the lack of financial education is one of the hindrances to make it success. Remember that Education is the strong foundation for a very good nation. Even if there's a lack of financial education, you should strive and work hard for your dreams.
If the curriculum limits financial education to a particular set of professions, I guess that is where a lot of people will just need to have business managers or probably just have to go learn it on their own. It is perturbing though as that has really affected the society and a lot of people keep complaining and not knowing that the little knowledge they can get from this can give them financial freedom, but ignorance just as the OP said, is making a lot of people perish and wallow in their poverty.

Other schools only teaches other subject not related to financial studies, lucky those who have majored economics, business and other financial related courses because they are in the right track for this crypto currency world. For me, we cannot do with educating youth through schools because the government and school regulators can only do with that. But as a person, maybe I can do a simple thing to educate them about finance and economics by sharing my thoughts and experiences to the social media because this is the most efficient and easy way to get them interested in this.

We cant expect this solutions from the government to educate children about alts and bitcoin because this is not their obligations and responsibility. And government doesn't even endorse bitcoin and alts as a currency or payment of the state. So the only way to educate our children regarding financial education is to motivate their curiosity.

Well, first of all the government in a country has never been miss out to educate the people and children in respective areas with in a country. In fact they have poured a huge budget for enhancing a better education and improving new technology applied to every schools. But educating to crypto currencies has never be been the subject of government concerned because they are out of control in the economic stability of country.

For meToday is the best way to teach our children's is using Internet.  We don't need to push our children go to school.  We can teach them tru Internet.  This is the best way for now.

The funny thing recently was watching the recent regulatory hearings and they talked about they how saw Crypto and Bitcoin markets as a positive because it was encouraging young people to take an interest in investment and economic growth, business use and so on.  Everyone on this thread should watch some of the video, seems highly relevant.
I was pretty dam surprised they were so positive to be honest:

True, financial education is usually done from high school so that students are not interested to learn financially, so education about finance starts from an early age so they understand the financial system.

Well you are wrong my dear friend regarding the mortgage about house it is not necessary for everyone to live in a house taken on mortgage and financial education is not something which can be taught or spoon fed by school but there are lot of schools focusing on finance and how to control the cost and budgeting and it is not mandatory for everyone to go and learn from those schools on how to control their finance in fact it is all common sense.Where as bitcoin is concerned if a person want to learn about bitcoins they are lot of ways for him to learn about btc as there are various resources available to teach about bitcoins now there are even schools and universities providing course related bitcoins and crypto currencies.

there are certain courses that teach youth about financial. we cannot oblige the government to teach bitcoins or any crypto because we all know that not all country support or adopting bitcoins. personally i can say that learning about these begin in ourself. honestly on my own i learn about these things thru internet. and to your questions "What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?" lets just say create a video that the youth will catch their attentions. we cannot force them

I agree to what you said and i think that it really depends on the person if they have eagerness to learn because if they do then it will be a good thing for them to just do a lot of research using the internet because in the internet, everything is almost there and you just need to type and do some click then you will have your answer that will help you to make yourself better.

Actually being an educated seems hard for almost everyone. When we talk about number more people doesn't like it. They feel bored and annoyed to numbers. Economic is numbers thats why people didn't like it. Maybe in terms of farming, agriculture, and business more people will like it.

Compounding the problems associated with financial illiteracy, it appears financial decision-making is also getting more onerous for consumers. Five trends are converging that demonstrate the importance for making thoughtful and informed decisions about finances.
