I have read many threads talking over this subject and came to know that many people are very confused about their real job and the crypto world. So out of the panic they have started creating many threads like this. I thought to write some suggestions and kind of roadmap so that people can actually choose what is right and wrong for them. Hope this will help.

If this questions concerns a lot to you then you should know the difference between two.

                                                        _____Real Job______.
|.    _____Crypto Job_____

                                                            1. Secured fro lifetime.
| 1. Unsecured for lifetime
                                                            2. Gives you fixed Income.
| 2. Income is not fixed
                                                            3. Promotion Opporutnities.
| 3. Not Applicable
                                                            4. Yearly Hikes in the Salary.
| 4. Not Applicable
                                                            5. Recognition in the Colleagues.
|5. Not Applicable

These are the most vital points in both of them or at least this is what concern a lot to us while following both of them.

However I believe that what matters is the output which is "Money" And when you have enough money then that = Stability in your life.

This can be achieved in easiest way when you have all the point that are covered under the list of "Real Job". I mean if Im coming home everyday with hard work and for which I will get the sure shot salary at the month end then I would be happy for that and will loose most of the tension over that fact.

Lets consider the same case with the crypto currencies and earning through that.

What options do we have under the Crypto venture?
1. Signature Campaigns
2. Social Media Campaigns
3. Bounty Programs (Same thing with token payout)
4. Media Publications
5. Trading
6. Gambling
7. Lending
8. Hardware Mining
9. Coding (Hardest One to get in)
10.Becoming Managers (Very Stable but tougher to reach that level).

Woof! Thats lot of ways with which I could actually earn from the crypto currency. So I might just think that I will leave my job and will focus on all of them.

But what, lets think about it for a moment! Are they really reliable sources with which we could really go for rest of the life? Im pretty sure most of you will say may be, or some of you who are already very old in this field might just say yes. But, I believe its not that easy to work with all if them altogether and you have no assurance that you will get into campaigns all the time and you may not earn the fixed income form these options creating the instability in your house.

Most of the options above need initial investment and some of them are not even fool proof.

We have to agree that becoming manager here is not everyones play so we should consider that option equal to null.

However, real job salary covers all the points in it and we could easily survive! Thats the whole point.

The End Results?

I wish I could have easily said that we can live happy life just on the crypto currency. Unfortunately, I believe that real job is better than the virtual games. I would really suggest that we should look after the family planning, house stability in all possible ways. There is no way we can have that much stability with just crypto world.

You can make it part of your life, but you can push your life depending on it. Not at all!

Suggestions are all welcome!

If you choose the full time crypto you need to be mentally prepared and you will need some funds like emergency fund and extra savings from the start because the market is unpredictable and things may not favor to you for that you need to build a long term plan on when and how are you going to distribute your labor and money between trading and bounty on signature campaigns plus you need to be fast in sourcing news about bitcoin to prevent further loss and have a much strategic approach on how are you gonna deal with the market to profit because this will be your bread and butter for the months to come.

Integrating the two is the best thing, we can not live by relying on the uncertainty of the digital currency (crypto). too risky for real life. At least we are not 100% in a financially insecure zone.
50 real and 50 we pursue crypto. there are many ways to make money with crypto, it is tailored to the expertise we already have.

The biased way in which you approach this subject tells me you are not someone that takes crypto serious in the slightest. You are dangerously misinformed and spreading misinformation.

Coding is not the "hardest" one to get in, that's a completely subjective statement. I am a software engineering student and for me, coding would be the easiest or most realistic route for my skill set to take me. You are not analyzing this objectively or in-depth by any means, you are throwing things against the wall and hoping that something sticks so you can claim to be correct.

Even the wordage you use is telling that you don't belong having this conversation, to distinguish between the two as "Real" and "Something else" you are implying that the second category is not real. It is real, in case you weren't aware.

"Real" Jobs are not Secured for life, they are never secured for life unless you have a contract without contingencies, stipulations or renewal dates keeping you in your position, which is unheard of. So your 1. is completely nullified and holds no weight.

You can easily acquire "fixed" income in crpyto, and most jobs in the "real" world are not fixed either.
If you do not see advancement opportunities available in crypto, then you are closed-minded and short-sighted. Many people started from nothing and have worked their way up in crypto to being millionaires, is this not effectively a promotion? They require more effort, knowledge, expertise and receive more pay; this is a "promotion".

I do not know what job offers yearly "hikes" in salary; please do tell me where you work. Bitcoin has increased in value every single year, this would make your past work more valuable, not only increasing your future wages, but making the work you've already done more profitable retroactively.

"Recognition in the colleagues", Who? What are you even talking about? If you contribute to this community you garner the recognition and respect you have earned/commanded.

As it seems to me, you have exactly 0 points and are making next to no sense. You have not thought this through, you are approaching this conversation from a biased perspective and you would do better off going back to your cozy, familiar life. We are pioneers, changing the world and you're free to cling to the safety of the past if you so choose; you will be left behind.

An economic depression could kick you out of your stable real job the second it affects the company you're working for. There are no guarantees in the present times even if you're skilled into something but not valuable enough to be paid by a company that needs to lay-off some people. On the other hand, the cryptoworld only has limited opportunities, but the opportunities are great if your skill set matches some promising job descriptions around especially for developers and coders. The OP is kinda bias and tends to lean on the side of "real job" since it hasn't explained that crypto has similar opportunities and disadvantages. It just so happened that a lot of newbies are being burned and sharing bad experiences with crypto because first and foremost, they don't know what they're doing and crypto hasn't been around for ages.

Knowing and Doing are two different things. Jumping right into cryptocurrencies without knowing the most important essentials is also just like a real job without any goals for your future career. You are just doing what is told to you or what you should do according to your job and this mindset would bring you to nothing. Knowing what everything is worth is a different matter. You acknowledge the importance of something and for cryptocurrencies, for what is worth, you'll realize what better ways you can do that will suffice your demands like you have a real damn job.

Yes, for sure that people who don't understand the concept of crypto will say that "you just can't rely on earning cryptos alone, it is not a stable source of income" this is true in a sense but it can really be a stable source in a sense only if you will just be wise about how you do it. Another thing is that, for those who don't appreciate earning crypto, you could integrate both your real job and earning crypto at the same time if you don't want to put much effort in cryptocurrencies.

Having a day job doesnt mean that you are ensuring that it would last for lifetime and these two things are entirely different which they do have their advantage and disadvantages. For people who arent risk takers will probably stick to traditional ways which in no doubt they will choose up traditional job but for those people who do love to risk will choose crypto job. We do know the opportunity on engaging ourselves here on crypto. We might get the possibility on not having a physical job since we can able to sustain ourselves on the amount we do earn here.In short getting that once in a lifetime opportunity on getting rich which having a job physically cant really give it to you easily.

It seems that you're stucked in between the two. But it ends up that you are determining which one will benefit you the most and I'd say both  it will be the answer. If you are determined to earn huge profit practice, yourself on doing both at the same time and in that way you'll be able to esrn huge profit from crypto and a stable income from your decent job.

Leaving the job in the entry level of crypto currencies is not advisable. This market could not be expected to remain forever.Instead,we should do a job and work side by side in bitcoins to earn more profits. Here risk bearing attitude is more needed.

I agreed on what have you said in there because anything can happen when you quit your job in this matter crypto is your only source of income, when emergency situation kicks in like hospitalization of love ones and the like you really need to have emergency fund in this matter because your investment in crypto will not be kind to you at any time you wish to withdraw markets can be high now and low tomorrow so you will always need a plan B with all your actions.

I think it is really a bad idea if you quit your job for full time crypto. I know it gave us opportunity to earn money and sometimes,it gain bigger profit than your salary, but that doesn't mean that you have to quit your job. Isn't it much better if you have both your job and crypto? Besides,It'ss kinda risky specially now that bitcoin's price  is unstable and low. We can't assure that it'll remain forever, although we want to,but we're not the one to decide.

Exactly my point! That is what I covered in the post up there. If you can't get any security from the crypto currencies then how one can risk the real job in first place. I would like to think that crypto currency is juts side earning, and it can not be converted into the full time income or passive income in general!

This is why I suggest people and created this thread to just to let them know what are the pros and cons of the having both together or having any one of them alone! Lets hope we all stay responsible with your duties and always take thoughtful decisions.

Well, Bitcoin has been unstable ever since it started. Its volatility is an issue that we had been facing from then on. Like most of us said, you just need to have a better handle on your cryptos, use it well. Invest wisely and you don't have to see from this point of view anymore if you did just that. We all know that a lot of us here are making a fortune earning Bitcoin and Altcoin because they are smart on using it. We just have to learn and strive to make the most out of it.

I am across the road of decision with the same thing you have said and for the past one year I have made significant progress in both knowllege and financial benefits from cryptocurrency but I am still keeping my day job because of the family. I see my day job as being secure than my cryptocurrencies markets trading and investment. However, by this time next year I am going to embark on a serious mind analysis in other to make a serious investments decision.

Not at all!

Suggestions are all welcome!

great points. in my honest opinion, i really think that leaving a stable job to focus more on crypto currencies is somewhat stupid. and even if that person had earned quite big fortune because of doing this, i will still call it stupid. it is not clever to sacrifice your well being just because of some new opportunity to earn lots and lots of money. most specially when you are not alone and already have a wife and a couple children. doing something like this would entirely not make sense. what if emergencies come and you get to spend all you fiat but still it isn't enough? you go to your coins right? what if at that exact time, the value of your coins are low and the market is falling? what then?

i am not saying doing crypto is bad, it's just that it is something that i cannot see as a good reason to quit your day job just because you want to earn money the easy way. that is just pure bull crap.

with moderation, you can always do both. so why choose when you can benefit from both? because you want to be a millionaire within a year? bullsh*t. don' be stupid. be sure with your life.

If you can do both why not give it a shot.  I will not risk going fulltime with crypto.  It is all because I am not good on other things that you have listed.  But I knew some people who are very good in it.  They are fulltime with crypto and really successful.  Just go where your heart says so but think many times.

good post. i just wanted to add some thoughts.

the though is that the "crypto jobs" are really limitless because we are talking about a world that is not yet saturated by lots of people. anyone who gets in now is going to be a pioneer. so don't limit yourself to what is known (trading, coding,...) there are lots of things that can be done.
to put simply you can do anything you do in real life in your "real job" and get paid in crypto and call that your "full time crypto job".
if you want the "pioneer" stuff then it gets a little complicated but you can become the bill gates of crypto. right now we lack a lot of things.

i can't really think of anything that is going to profitable (if i could i would have done it already Tongue) but i can give you an example to understand what i mean. imagine the gambling field, the "pioneer" was PrimeDice. now everything is going to be second to them. they are always going to be big and another dice site like bitsler can really try and get as big but that is it. you can't see anymore coming in and competing. now they are the kings of that field making a lot of money.

There is a FOMO brewing...

I don't agree with OP about a real job being better and more stable. It all depends on your working conditions, the country you are in, many other things.
I'll give you something to compare:
Guy 1:
Living in a country with an average net income per capita of $2000 a month.
Has monthly expenses (food and bills) of $1000
Earns $1800 a month in his day job working 8 hours a day (has to drive an hour a day to work, pay for fuel, sit 8 hours a day in an office).
He gets into mining and trading part time, earns $1000 a month on the average. Starts thinking that he might turn it into a full time thing, double the profits, stay at home, cut fuel expenses. Undecided

Now this is hard to say if he should or shouldn't do it. A stable job is always better if the only thing you'd be getting out of it is more free time and no need to drive to work every day, although in some cases it might be better for him like if his wife is working and he could stay home with kids instead of hiring a nanny or asking grandma to do it.

Guy2:
Living in a country when the average income is $600 a month
Monthly expenses are $300 a month.
Earns $500 a month working his ass off every day working for 8 hours + overtime in a physical job like driving a truck or unloading packages in a warehouse.
Starts trading, writing in a signature campaign, investing in ICOs, claiming airdrops. Earns $500 on the average.

In that case it would be advisable to quit that day job and focus on cryptocurrency. Physical work always strains your body and there's a chance of getting hurt while doing it.
It's not worth risking your health in a job that barely covers your monthly bills and food while you can get similar money sitting at home, sipping tea, watching the charts. There's also a high chance of doubling your profit.

If you have a career and a chance of climbing the ladder at work, stay there. If you're at the bottom and barely earning anything quit and focus on cryptocurrency while you're looking for something better.

In my opinion, I think it depends on the risk profile and financial position of the person. If there is any responsibility of contributing to his family or somewhere else then he should have at least stable income source. Full-time crypto is risky if the person belongs to the above-mentioned category. On the other hand, if there are no such responsibilities then he can always try is luck in full-time crypto because even in the worst case he won't have to worry about his routine lifestyle.

Just want to point it out. You've mentioned in the real job that, you're going to come home with all that hard work and for sure at the end of the month you will get paid and be happy about it, to sustain for your family. It only means that you really don't care about the money, you're worrying more about your social life. Your interaction and relationship with people, your friends and family. Having a real job, not only focuses you on having a stable salary but also making bonds towards others, that's what makes you happy.

But on the other hand, if you focused on becoming a full timer in the crypto mostly you're going to be spending all your time studying, trading, talking with other people (but not in person) with your computer. Sure, it is not stable when it comes to earning profits (still it depends), but I can assure you that here, money really talks. This is cryptocurrecy indeed, of course with the cost of your social life.
