Okay...so I have a funny Bitcoin story for you which I heard from a friend.
A middle-aged couple bought 1 BTC for a 1000 USD recently. They were happy beyond what can be described in words at the good deal they had got. So they got in touch with my friend to ask him about how they could sell it. He sent them the links to various medium articles and blogposts on how to buy and sell bitcoin. The couple got in touch with him again and told him that they had failed to sell the bitcoin. So my friend went and met them. They then "showed" him their bitcoin. It was a plastic coin with the Bitcoin symbol on it!
So conclusion, educated yourself before investment Yeah dont go if you dont have enough knowledge in bitcoin. Its hard to invest in bitcoin if he/she dont have knowledge because you can lose your money if you dont know how bitcoin works.

Which part of the story is supposed to be funny again? I read it twice and failed to find the part where you're supposed to chuckle. It's absolutely fucking disguisting to be taking advantage of anyone, and especially the elderly since they're most vulnerable. Fuck whoever stole their money and fuck you if you really find it amusing.

We need to educate them if they are your friend or family because if they really invest in bitcoin they would give us benefit indirectly.

It doesn't mean a funniest thing, but it gives me pride when I think of those incidents. When I was new to the cryptocurrency network I don't know much about it. Still I used to explain what I know to my friends. By those time, they used to make fun of me indicating the virtual presence and not having the physical state as that of our real money. Now they realized the value of the same.

I find this a little sad because it's slightly symbolic of what we live in today. Some people are buying bitcoin from the word of mouth, but they aren't informed enough to make a purchase. People who pumped in a lot of their savings at the 19,000 mark are currently kicking themselves because they didn't know enough about the market and weren't ready to face whatever volatility was coming their way. Small things like these are what can cause bitcoin to be hated by uninformed people; hopefully more people look into the coins they put their money in before they jump in.

there is nothing funny in this, this fraud is happening all over the world all the time, because of the lack of education of people, on the general excitement people stupidly believe scammers, without suspecting deceit.
After this story happen in all over the world because the lack of information anf education, do you think its good idea to government or merchant has group of expert which can spread education about bitcoin? Its good idea if someone or any merchant can teach them.

OMG, it is not so funny. This is a sad story about people’s ignorance. That is why we need to share our knowledge about Bitcoin with other guys. I am glad to meet messages from newbies on this forum. It means more persons are interested in BTC and many of them are ready to learn much about it.

Perhaps the influence of bitcoin is quite large, even its value is gradually more popular with people who don't know it. An interesting and funny story.

So, the couple bought bitcoin and gets only a plastic card with a bitcoin symbol in it and they didn't get any other information related to the real value of their bitcoin, like a private key for example? They were fooled then. This isn't funny tho, but pathetic.

Fraudsters always take advantage of our ignorance to cheat. Perhaps the couple thought that they could buy a big profit, but the biggest profit was the money seller who printed the word BTC on it. Think about it, maybe he just bought the coins printed in BTC to celebrate LOL

Hahaha, what a sad tale, they should have just made some researches online before jumping into the river. Reason I am starting a paid class next week in shop on how to buy and sell bitcoin and other basic security features. people must first learn to go for knowledge before the reward.

You know I actually believe this story because I once had a guy tell me he found a bitcoin at the casino, I was like uhhhh? he also showed me a plastic bitcoin with no address on it lol. I kind of feel bad, I actually ended up rofling for like 30 mins before explaining to the guy that was fuck all. It was something like these https://www.amazon.com/slp/bitcoin-coins/6qqms8myr43y5h9 He 100% thought it was a real bitcoin.

There are really physical bitcoin coins or commemorative coins that is for sale out there and costs only $30. I think its made out of cheap metal and meant only for display. I dont know how much the real coins are but i kmow it exists. This story isnt funny at all and we should feel sorry for them for their lack of information. They should even checked the coin first because if it is plastic then its easy to distinguished. Its all their fault though.

Poor people, but besides joke we have to understand that it can happen with our loved one as well, therefore, knowledge transformation of Bitcoin is very much important for all to make people aware about Bitcoin and altcoins to buy, sell, and trade it on various exchanges.
