Maybe this could take place through the continued buying and selling or through some form of spreading to the people surrounding us. I think the increase in users will obviously make bitcoin price higher as more users increase to demand. but it's true what you're saying is that more users will get more transactions on the network and will make your transaction will be longer to get confirmed. I think developers are still thinking about it. bitcoin is growing but if not in upgraded it will be the same as making the bitcoin worse. fork is not very helpful, isnt ?

Bitcoin is currently still the no. 1 cryptocurrency so we just have to give it time. The lightning network is a great addition to our ecosystem, albeit it is still in its infancy. There will be a lot of testing needed to be done. What wee need to do is have a united front, especially the various groups maintaining the bitcoin network. People use bitcoin these days for one reason only, and that is to gain profit and moeny, they don't care about its adpation or wether or not it is accepted they don't really care if the transaction takes a long time because they don't use their bitcoin as a payment method, they only think of it as an investment, the fast increase of the price that happend last year brought with it many poeple who know nothing about cryptocurrency they just invested their moeny because they want fast and easy profit, the only way things could get better is if the price stabalizes for a while until this whole cryptohype goes away, and we can already see some improvemnts lately, the transaction time is getting faster and miner fees lower than ever which is a good thing and it is all thanks to the price stablizing.

There is nothing much we can do about it. The feeling for the real use shall come from the end user itself. There was simple fact/idea behind the bitcoin and that was to use the bitcoin as pseudo anonymous way to transact and go P2P easily.
