I don't think that bitcoin is facing any type of problem from the regulation Because after the regulation many people realise that bitcoin is not a bad thing and it is much better to use for the profit and also as a payment system .
But surely currently we need a system where we need to send and receive bitcoin with very small amount of fees , as we are using segwit wallet for this to lower the fee , but still in my opinion we need another more better option that remove the factor of the confirmation ( may be it is possible with the third party wallet option ) .

I can only think of one thing in order to make the bitcoin grow. I think we should endorse or advertise it using social media. However, there's an issue that Facebook already banned bitcoin because they want to protect the identity of the people who works on some campaigns. As of now, If you have lots of friends, then you should encourage them to work or invest in bitcoin. Explaining them the benefits of bitcoin is the way to encourage them invest in bitcoin.

I believe it's a good step forward to use exchange platforms that minimizes shortcomings of bitcoin, like start using Segwit, and steer clear from exchanges that did not promote segwit as of yet.
