The 'right price' is set by the lowest price offered by a bona fide seller.  Presently, there is only one bona fide seller and it is me.  I have offered to sell them at 2:1.  However, there was some heavy opposition to that original offer and I have adjusted it to the more fair price of 1:1.  

If you missed the deadline, you missed the deadline.  100X happens all the time once gettin' gets good.  If you don't like the price, keep your damn bitcoins.  If you want in, you must arrange a deal with a bona fide seller.  Me.  Otherwise, you could purchase some fantasy Mastercoins here: buymastercoin.com.  On the other hand, if you want 1000 real Mastercoins, I've got them for sale - now.

The cheapest sell offer i've seen so far is 25MSC for 1BTC, but the best buy offer i've seen is 50MSC for 1BTC. I can't see them ever being worth more than 1BTC (without having an asset of value linked to it) though.

I think the best bet for you is to buy 'that other Mastercoin'.  That product is a very good alternative for people having a limited understand of how things work - and struggle to get their shoes tied in the morning.  Go ahead and buy that one - and cross your fingers!  lol

Mastercoin now has upwards of $660K in the bank.  It is not 'subjective' - as you say, but rather it is math.  There is an integer number of Mastercoins and the value of them is $660K/[that number].
