I feel that it is impossible to reach BTC at a young age and may have opportunities in the next few years.
Yes, this is one of the things why I am doubting, when somebody say, that Ether will go up beyond Bitcoin, so maybe someday, but not today indeed. Also it is still less then BTC in price. This is very hard to say but I also think ethereum would be a better selection than bitcoin for investment. Because I think ethereum platform is more dynamic than bitcoin, because of the new ICOs. Other thing, etherium is still low price so its good to make good profit. |

About it's more hot., it's true, it's no wonder if Eth is now more desirable or more people in it in a variety of activities and certain efforts in the crypto world. Like nowadays it seems in this forum more people are moving in bounties/collect tokens from bounties and do trading tokens/altcoins.

I think maybe that Ether can someday catch up with Bitcoin, but soon this will not happen. Bitcoin was the first and remained the first, and potential competitors are starting to appear on Ether, but they are not yet a threat to him, but, perhaps, this will change over time. I agree someday etherium can be good competitor of bitcoin. Etherium is the best coin to invest now there is lots of successful ICO already implemented on ethereum blockchain its already running well . Lots of ICO's are coming based on ethereum blockchain . But i dont deny there are bad ico also so always be careful. |

You were right about that plus ETH has a active team, a lots of good projects, has a road map and have an active community. If you will base fundamentally ETH was better than BTC. But not all the people thinks about that some people that new in crypto world will say BTC is the King. I think for Ethereum is a pretty good Altcoin with a continuous development. so having Ethereum as a supported coin would be very profitable. with Ethereum being supported to continue to improve this development is able to become the next flagship coin. |

Your just saying that because now the ethereum is at it's peak but this is temporary, the bitcoin will dominate again the crypto market and I know that we all know that the bitcoin is more popular and valuable than ethereum and it has many advantages and benefits than bitcoin. |

Eth is a good hold and i am holding quite a lot of eth in my portfolio which i use to invest in ico but i don't agree with you about eth price surpassing bitcoin price this year, as at the moment bitcoin still remains the decider of market price, when bitcoin is down other coins will follow and when bitcoin is up others will follow too. I like eth but it cannot be compared with bitcoin as at this moment, maybe in the future things might change.

Your assertion isn't precise at all. Aren't you seeing the changes on market? Eth is even more of the most affected coin in the ongoing market dip.
However, a part is correct. That is, the case of ETH's smart contract opportunity for incoming icos to launch on it's already popular network.
My opinion now...
Eth is actually so promising one which has got huge potentials to boom even more than what we can see now going into the future.

ETH is the best investment in my opinion as there are hundreds of good projects running on ETH blockchain and coming more ICOs. Alongside ETH has a good team to escalate any issue in the network and I think within couple of years ETH will be way beyond what it today.

Ethereum is the best altcoin as it will be always in demand. Most of the people that deal with the cryptocurrency hold ETH. However, some alts, especially the cheap but good ones will give you more income.

Ethereum is one of the most useful and functional coin. It has also large community and businesses based on it. They are also so many project with real use case who actually running on the ethereum blockchain. Maybe it will not reach BTC price this year, but gradually price will grow. |

Eth is hot and traded to all alts in exchanges but bitcoin is the main coin that won't be replace by any others coins. Eth will keep supported and the value will depend on bitcoin.

As of February 2018, Ethereum was the second highest cryptocurrency, second only to Bitcoin.

It can be, but still, Ethereum maybe never will reach towards Bitcoin with all that it has, capitalisation, supply, circulation amount, price, usage areas, those two are still different one from another.

From my opinion, ETH is more scalable from bitcoin because ETH is used by investors globally. Not only investors, but startup companies who want to collect funds are using ETH too. |

I also agree, ethereum very promising for now and will be even better if to invest in the future. not wrong if you select ethereum compared bitcoin because the price is still relatively low so to reach such prices still very likely bitcoin.

We can all say that this statement are half correct and half is not proven if ETH is hotter than bitcoin it should be the number 1 in the cryptocurrency market right. Yes the technology of ETH is more but that it does not matter here. Bitcoin has so many proven events and not failed it's investors. |

Ethereum and bitcoin have different goals and functions. Using blockchain as its platform is one of the properties that is inherent in both of them.
Bitcoin's blockchain does not serve as platform for decentralized applications and their tokens.
While the blockchain of ethereum was created precisely for this purpose.
During the existence of the crypto-currency market, hundreds of analogs of bitcoin have appeared, but none has approached even 10% dominance in the market.
The closest analogue is litecoin. The dominance level is 2%. It is 20 times smaller than bitcoin (40%). The chances of leadership are very small.
The closest analogue of ethereum is EOS. The dominance level is 2.5%. 6 times less than in ethereum (16%). At EOS chances to catch up and overtake ethereum are quite real in the near future.
In addition, the EOS catch up with Cardano (1.7%) and Stellar (1.4%).
