Right now there are more coins available in the market which gives you more profit than bitcoin.
Bitcoin price is also not stable.
All these factors affect its popularity ??
What you think, still bitcoin is more popular ?
Bitcoin is still the base of all alts . To buy alts you need to buy bitcoin first ,thus it will never unpopular or irrelevant . Yes other coins might make you more profits but i think of bitcoin as storing value that in the long run gonna make me profits on my assets too. Bitcoin price might dump drastically if more alts became paired with other coins and there was no need to buy bitcoin first to buy alts. I agree, that's right, bitcoin is the parent of all other coins, I think, it is impossible if bitcoin will drop popularity. |

Yes, I think because a lot of people have turned negative because of the reviews of many countries banning bitcoin. The price of bitcoin is considerably reducing these days so people have turned down!

Bitcoin is the base coin for all market. We already saw that in last all market price collapse.
Also for first investing about crypto currencies always starts with Bitcoin. Maybe most of us first bought BTC and then we noticed that alts more profitable in some cases.

I think?. no. because bitcoin is more familiar with elsewhere and is increasingly producing it and spreading it to their country until it is legally in the world. Bitcoin Cash aims to to increase the number of transactions that can be processed, Adding to the drop in bitcoin's popularity is people are choosing to hold bitcoin rater than spend it. It comes as bitcoin’s price has fallen to $10,583. |

Bitcoin is the granddaddy of all cryptocurrrency and so it is susceptible to being overthrown. But not in the near future. As long as further development is being created on it to remove its flaws, then it will still remain the top crypto and more popular than anything else. It has more room for improvement for now.

A friendly note, Just because bitcoin had suffered a lost and experienced a dip this past few months doesn't mean that bitcoin had already lost popularity. I believe that bitcoin still is ubiquitous and continues to be, I think the dip is caused by fluctuations and not by bitcoin losing popularity.

No those coins is just a part of popularity of bitcoin today bitcoin is more popular, the negative side here is those coins gaining more investors because of their good characteristics or specification lots of big whale investors are now shifting their investment to other coins so that is why it has a big impact on the value of bitcoin. |

Of course Bitcoin is still popular and until now none of the coins in the market reached the value of bitcoin. Bitcoin is the mother of all coins and definitely it would be hard for new coins to reach the current value of bitcoin. |

But all in all, bitcoin is still super popular among cryptocurrency users and even in laymen.

Bitcoin is still popular but you are right there are other coins that can give us more profit than bitcoin but we can still buy bitcoin and hold it for a long time because for me bitcoin can make us more profit in a long run even years. |

As for last year bitcoin has gain more popularity because of the increase in price and value,more investors and money have been push into the system,despite other coin,bitcoin is still taking it place.

Just because the value of Bitcoin dumps down it doesn't mean that it is losing its popularity in fact it is getting more famous, being widely accepted bit by bit, tons of countries and government are adopting to it. I believe we're entering to the Digital Era so for sure the blockchain technology will surge and Bitcoin will be more famous than ever.

I think that Bitcoin is losing its market dominance. Because other cryptocurrency have outstanding advantages and transaction costs are lower than bitcoin. Other altcoins will become viable options for cheaper transaction fees.

Eventhough Most of the negative news spread across the crypto world according to my opinion actually is a good sign of growth and this way it is getting more popular too.
