It is the base currency of Crypto Market. If it looses its popularity the existence of other currency will not be available in the market. On the other hand the measurement of popularity is very difficult things. But if you analyze the market condition you have to admit that its popularity is raising.

Compared to previous years, bitcoin has been more popular than ever since btc started going out in the news and more people are aware about. Atcoins in the other hand, nobody outside cryptoworld knows they exist, so the first thing a new investor buys when joining in crypto is of course bitcoin, altcoins later on. |

I think bitcoin still remains popular until now. Indeed the current price of bitcoin has decreased, but we must see now bitcoin prices begin to increase again. We need to be patient and hold the bitcoin we have to make a fortune. I'm sure that's when big investors buy bitcoins to start investing. It will make the bitcoin price go up and will make the bitcoin popular.

Bitcoins are falling but that doesn't mean that they are lossing their popularity and as a matter of fact the bitcoins are much more getting popular here in.our country and i am getting confused because the bitcoins are falling and now they are getting much popular it is like contradicting. It is like the people much kore rely on mining and investing in some rigs in ordr to gain decent amount of bitcoins not buying a bitcoins really so the price never goes up quick |

The amount of altcoin does not affect the popularity of bitcoin. Not only is the bitcoin unstable, but altcoin is also unstable. There are still many people who still believe in bitcoin, they prefer strong coins for investment to minimize failure. |

Well, the last time I checked the market caps of cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin is still very much ahead of the second placer of the list. Bitcoin has at least 137 billion USD in market cap while the second one, Ethereum, has only at least 50 billion USD. That means the second placer is not even close, and has not even reached half of the market cap of Bitcoin. Needless to say, popularity is still with Bitcoin than in any single altcoin. And this will be the trend for who knows when. |

Sure it is loosing , Just look at the bitcoin price today , lossing , loosing and loosing.
Hello,can't blame you if you feel that way, it's true that bitcoin price nowadays are really not that good but it's not enough reason to say that bitcoin losses its popularity,we all know that here in crypto market we can't realy predic the price for each coin everyday.So I cant really say that bitcoin is loosing.As long as many believe in bitcoin it well never loose.Lets think positive for positive outcome. |

I think not, though the price is not stable and the price now is too low it didn't affect it's popularity because many people are still using it and we all know that the price of it will go up again, and because of that the user of bitcoin will become bigger.
The prices now look stable, but the trade volumes have gone down by a big deal (and this is despite the fact that the transaction fee is at all time low). Even in media, there is a lot less coverage about Bitcoin and crypto-currency. |

I think bitcoin is as popular than ever now. Even people that I don't think have no knowledge on bitcoin knows bitcoin now. People are still going crazy about bitcoin. Although bitcoin price is low right now I still see a lot of people still talking about bitcoin and I think that is enough to know that bitcoin is still as popular as ever.

For me, bitcoin is impossible to lose its popularity. Many people invested in bitcoin and many of them are businessmen. Apparently, Bitcoin is one of the most popular when it comes in virtual money and cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin right now is still popular and i am sure bitcoin will not loses it's popularity, and among the rest of other cryptocurrency bitcoin has more bright future and has more chance to survive for long time, that's why bitcoin will not loose it popularity even the price of it will dump very high in the market. |

I still think and believe that Bitcoin, its popularity and community is still rapidly growing up to this very day. Despite all the FUDs created by false news and black propaganda against it, people would still have the ability to see through those and see Bitcoin for how awesome and helpful it is for a lot of people.

It may happen. For now, Bitcoin remains the most popular non-centralized virtual currency, but there is no guarantee that its position will remain that way. There's already another set of coins inspired by Bitcoin. It may be assumed that significant development will take a long time for a new currency to take over Bitcoin. |

Bad news about bitcoin and its falling price might affect btc’s popularity but I think it is like a sleeping giant while other coin are pumping and sounds like giving more profit than btc but we do not know btc are just waiting for the right time to wake up again then bubbles up so let us hope for that to happen.

Yeah not only bitcoin but whole concept of cryptocurrency is still popular and gaining popularity day by day because newcomers just enter the markets with only a few knowledge about altcoins and all they know is Bitcoin only so whenever someone wanted to try investing in this community then they need to know more about Bitcoin first that's why it will never lose it's popularity although advanced people in cryptocurrency are now focusing on other coins because of the profit that they can gain. |

In my opinion, so far nothing happened that can cause Bitcoin to lose it's popularity. In terms of uses, and value, Bitcoin possesses the first position in the market though Altcoins seem to be profitable in the short run.

I think Bitcoin is a safe investment. If you invest in a new project, 80% of them are not able to give you a profit.. Some will not develop the project, some will make a wonderfull thing with the money.
So playing safe is Bitcoin, risking for a 10-20x profit are the altcoins
