Touché but since you're a minority, a pool would solve this question for us Smiley

Odds are equal for bad weather or 4/1 for good weather or 4/1 for very bad weather in Frankfurt

Why this city ? (serious question here)

it will be difficult to find a place that everyone loves/agrees with. the special part will be the event itself, the city is not that important except for central air/road/train hub.

-central airport, cheap worldwide direct connections, no hassle with changing planes
-equidistant to americas and asia
-easy/fast to reach city from airport
-lot´s of banking highrises (the idea was to make it a rooftop party in banking highrise)
-ecb headquarter
-germany first country to legally acknowledge btc, german government btc-friendly (e.g.no capital gains tax)
-sufficent infrastructure for events (catering, security, hotels, etc)
-since it is an one-night indoor event, the choice of city is important but not that important. frankfurt is topranking in all kinds of city-rankings anyway.
-promoters/organizers of party live in frankfurt, easy to organize, no fuck-up to expect

All the arguments could be made for Berlin as well. Well, all of them except ECB and the last one. Wink Plus Berlin is probably more interesting for Bitcoiners in general. Thinking about it, there's been some pretty wild Bitcoin parties already. Not sure if they can be topped just because you throw in more money.

I'm in, anyways.

I'm always buying and selling BTC, PM me for details. Rating and GPG-key: http://is.gd/yossarian

for example, try to find affordable direct flights from usa to berlin   Wink

from your viewpoint i agree, berlin is more attractive for such an event. from a promoters viewpoint it is much easier and safer to organize an event when one is familiar with local occurences.

welcome riX, KonstantinosM, and beetcoin

just ordered an extra load of booze just for you  Wink

@ffssixtynine: moon theme is a good idea, we´ll keep that in mind!
@NewLiberty: 30day moving average could also be a good trigger, we need to discuss this.
@Valerian77: aren´t bitcoin somewhat banned in thailand ?
@beetcoin: help us finding sponsors and we can invite you  Wink
@syke: 420 is a brilliant milestone, let´s have this party...  let´s say... tomorrow ?  Grin
@KonstantinosM: hope you don´t mind that we quote your post in op

I was out in the rough seas on an inflatable kayak, I camped overnight in Anclote key, Some people sunk with their wooden boat at the time. they were lucky that someone was close by and pulled them to shore.

I was concerned about sharks and rough weather (I had no internet and my phone fried so I couldn't reply at the time. It's an honor to be quoted, thank you.

(BTW going 3-6 miles away from shore on an inflatable kayak on your own is a horrible idea, I won't be doing that again)

I'll see you all at the party.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

I'm not in, sorry, frankfurt is almost same city as where i live now, i mean a grey western european city.

by a pool, i mean poll Smiley but never mind , if organizers live in frankfurt just no way they can change their mind Wink

The idea is amazing, dont get me wrong, but i thinks for the same amount of money, i'll spend a week on a beach with cocktails&massage

btw, saying "is just a one day event" is wrong since if you fly from US or asia, you didn't stay just 24h, you'll plan at least 4/5 days

Plus: you live in Berlin. I get it... hehe.

Berlin gets enough Bitcoin attention already. Let's give Frankfurt a chance...

The last point is of utmost importance in my mind. If it's in Berlin, who is going to organize?

Why 1000 $ attendance  fee???

it was 140 $ when we announced the idea. the idea was to buy in cheap for a class a international party. and if you use btc that you have purchased when price was lower it is even cheaper.  Grin

this will not be an average party. expect some crazy magnificent shit. once-in-a-lifetime-mothafuckin-stampede  Shocked
