It's funny because at the current trend the countdown in the btc1k.com website
seems to exactly point to the moment, where we reach 1000$ Grin
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Excuse me, but Frankfurt is one of the most boring, dull and ugly cities in Europe. Why Frankfurt?

I can propose many better locations, for example if you want to do it in Germany - why not Berlin? Party never ends in Berlin Wink

It's trendy to party in a boring city. It's like how retro styles are popular.

FF/M has a couple of nice nightclubs, and is equipped for people who need to spend serious dime.
also, we should party close enough to the ECB to piss on it from a rooftop.

we could try to get into this one for the party, which would be awesome (we would be in there before they move in. problem is that it may be dangerous to host a crazy party in a highrise under construction.

welcome herzmeister, lotusblüte, megustabtc, spiderbrain, neuronics, SimonBelmond, btc_uzr and amincd !!!!!

i don´t care what you bring when you come to the party, but i know what you might have lost when it´s over:

-your clothes
-your brain
-your respect for fellow bitcoiners  Grin

as for a DJ, we absolutely NEED this guy: https://www.facebook.com/kidsimius

he was warm-up for SEEED at Wuhlheide this year and absolutely KILLED it. KILLED with KAPITAL KAY, mkay?
seriously, I am dead serious.

we will check this out, thank you 2weiX

@everyone: we need more feedback about bands, dj´s that you want to see at the event

how would you like those guys ?

I am tempted to come, but will it actually be a cool party?  Is it still in Frankfurt? Are these compatible concepts? There are 31 pages of comments, I confess - I haven't read them all...

it´s still not decided. the orga-team is heavily biased towards frankfurt. berlin is the alternative and there are good reasons for it.

in the end - it will not matter in what city you experience your personal 'hangover 4' experience... Grin

Since it'll be in Germany, and bitcoin will bear nearing gold parity, how about some fine german heavy metal?

Rammstein are too big still I guess.

And I'm also more the rock & metal guy, however it's difficult to find a band that fits with the digital concept of something like BTC.

I guess the best fit would be Machinae Supremacy

What about Atari Teenage Riot?

aaah, of course, great fit too (if they're not too nihilistic for BTC  Tongue)
