Bitcoin is valuable because of the following features:
1. It is limited just like gold.
2. It is decentralized meaning it is not governed by the government.
3. It can be transferred directly thru peer to peer or from individual to individual.
4. It is easy to buy and sell. No bank to bank needed although it is prone to scam so be sure to know the person you are dealing with.
5. It has a low transaction fees, no hidden fees and is irreversible or no charge back.
6. The people were the ones who put value in bitcoin.
7. It is protected by inflation. Only 21M bitcoin will be circulated in the market.

Everyone in the crypto space has had people tell them that Bitcoin is worthless or that it doesnt have any true value.
Of course, thats infuriating to hear, but for investors new to the space, its sometimes hard to craft a good answer.
So heres a little cheat sheet for any newbies out there who get this question or accusation:
1. Bitcoin is safe. It cant be hacked because its decentralized.
2. Bitcoin eliminates layers of transaction fees.
3. Bitcoin is fast (especially after the lightning upgrade).
4. Bitcoin provides more privacy than normal transactions.
5. Bitcoin hedges against stupidity from central banks and governments.
6. Bitcoin cant be counterfeited.
7. Bitcoin isnt tied to other asset classes and is a hedge against other investments.
In short, Bitcoin solves massive problems with the financial and political world, and that is its value.

...That's true, actually, bitcoin is the remedy from political corruptions and it prevents money manipulation from any banks. I like the concept of blockchain technology, because they find the ways or the solutions on how to be safe in terms of money handling. So, i think there's a lot of reasons make bitcoin valuable. |

Just add your statement. What makes bitcoin valuable in addition to the advantages already covered in this topic is public demand. Bitcoin is seen as valuable due to it being decentralized. And bitcoin is very useful for me especially to melt it into the currency of my country it can be said very quickly say i want to melt it. I really hope the bitcoin will not fall in the long run.

It really all depends on supply and demand as well. Bitcoins became so expensive that the demand for each have skyrocketed the price off the roof and to the moon. It also has a lot of pretty useful features as mentioned above and this also affects the pricing of bitcoins. |

Well maybe since bitcoin is decentralized and every people like this fact and making money with it. Its tax free and government can't take it down nor they can control. So people like to involve with bitcoins. People of my country of living in aboard buy bitcoin and contribute bitcoin growth. |

There are many things that tells that bitcoin is so valuable. One of this is that it is decentralized that you are the only one who hand the right for it. Another is that bitcoin helps us by being convenient and gave us less hassle in most of the transaction. And bitcoin is the safest way for investment.
