Can ethereum reach the top?

ETH had a chance to overtake BTC, but that chance is gone now I guess. In mid-2017, Ethereum came so close to overtaking Bitcoin in terms of market cap. But after the BCH fork, Bitcoin surged ahead of ETH. Chances of this incident repeating is very low, I have to say.

Both of them are good to invest. As for me, etherium this time still cannot surpass bitcoin. The price of bitcoin may drop but it will rise up again. I think it will never be out of the market. It will still be the first crypto currency and the most valuable.

Ethereum is a strong competitor of Bitcoin and it has a lot of strong factors that can give it the edge take over the market dominance from Bitcoin.

One of its major factors that I believe is a cause for it competing strongly against Bitcoin is the rise of its use in ICOs and also for ERC20 tokens.

Can't really say but now projects are moving away from Ethereum on such project is BlockGrain.io
These guys are aiming to automate the supply chain with Grain and as far as I know the token sale has started this week.

by investing in Ethereum helps boost Ethereum's price. so I'm sure with more and more investing, Ethereum is capable of being the richest top of all the coins.

I dont think so as long as bitcoin is always on the top list the ethereum was remain on the second spot in coinmarketcap list.But eventhough ethereum will not pass through the bitcoin but still one of the best crypro coins right now.

It is already at the top, he is fast, he is popular, he is very much in demand by many ICO, he has low commission and fast transactions, he is already at the top of my heart. Ethereum is the prince of cryptoworld.

It would be hard for Ethereum to stay at the top because it is not the only one who seek for the crown but also Ripple and other Altcoins.

Earlier I was also more confident in ethereum, but then I began to lean more towards bitcoin. The fact is that the former ICO projects on the wallets have huge stocks of ethereum and when they start spending it on the implementation of their projects, the price of ethereum will go down.

This is already in the top if we see the time frame of the Bitcoin and the Ethereum that go up. The Ethereum takes only 3 years to reach the highest ever more than $3000. But, Bitcoin took it almost 6 years. But, Ethereum never beat the Bitcoin in the long run as Bitcoin has it's own unique features and ETH it's own features.

Yeah, ETH has good chance to be at the top of criptocurrency market capitalization but it will be hard struggle with BTC

It may reach the top but it will be a race where bitcoin and Ethereum will be seeking  the first place. It would be hard for Ethereum to stay at the top because it is not the only one who seek for the crown but also Ripple and other Altcoins.

I don't think that now Ethereum will be able to reach the top. It blew away its chance during the second half of 2017. Now it is the chance of some of the ETH alternatives, such as NEO and Cardano. My guess is that it is going to be Cardano, due to its advanced technology.

I believe to surpass bitcoin is what you mean by "to reach the top". Bitcoin is the first of its kind and still is the king of cryptocurrency. Although ETH is considered to be the second best, still it is no way near bitcoin with regards to its prices. No one knows if it can surpass bitcoin, it would take a very long time if indeed it would.

I choose Ethereum in talking of platform to use in ICO because it was created to support all tokens thru ERC20 platform and much cheaper to invest than Bitcoin but still i don't believed that it will surpass Bitcoin by reaching the top specially if the ICO advertisement will going to fully ban on June in which for sure the real demand for Ethereum will going to reduce as the numbers of ICO will probably to start to reduce due to the banning of the ads.

I am sure if Ethereum could reach the top because the few weeks that I see Ethereum continue to rise in price and I am sure that Ethereum can reach the top well and can invest in Ethereum on a long-term and profitable basis
