I think Ethereum can really give you gains this year. It has good chances to increase it's capitalization and give xx to investors. I believe in Buterin and think he'll find the way to deal with ethereum cap

No I don't actually agree with this. The fact that ETH's price is kind of stable than that of Btc doesn't invoke ETH as the new boss of cryptocurrencies. Statistical records still shows a huge gap in the prices, popularity and usage if we are to compare and contrast both coins. However, I am putting away the possibility of that happening, but not anytime soon. ETH still gat a long to go reach Btc's level and eventually conquer it as the new king in the Cryptos world. Even after this feat has been achieved, Btc will still go down in history as the pioneering coin of the entire cryptosystem.

I do not think that ETH will be able to beat bitcoin, and became 1st crypto, but it has potential for growth and it is stable, so a lot of people trust it.

Ethereum is leader of altcoins and king of all the altcoins but i don't think Ethereum can beat bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto in 2018 because there was a huge gap in the price of ETH and BTC  and this gap increasing day by day.

This is a difficult thing is to happen, but nothing is impossible and all can happen. Maybe ethereum could overtake bitcoin one day, taking into consideration that bitcoin is being so often debated, while ethereum just works silently in the background. However, bitcoin’s price still remains way bigger than the one of ethereum.

If you want to make the comparison, than you should not look only on the price, but on the overall market cap. If you look at current market cap, you can see, that ethereum went already very close to Bitcoin. As others already said, one main big advantage is, that there are already some existing runing business out based on ethereum, and it can act in silence. Bitcoin actually always needs to eat any new blames of crypto currency market.

I think it is a really low probability that, ethereum can reach bitcoin's price and value in this year. But in my opinion, there is something obvious, ethereum is not the old ethereum. Not maybe in the near future, but in a few years, I think ethereum might be a real competitor of the bitcoin.

Well even though ethereum is on a much better pace lately , i still see it unlikely to happen. We will see bitcoin recovering soon and hitting new milestones. Bitcoin always returned stronger from this kind of crashes.

I also think it is an undeniable fact that while Ethereum prices may overtake bitcoin in the years ahead, it is undeniable that bitcoin is the first coin in the entire crypto-cryptocurrency world. Unless there are some big surprises in Bitcoin, Ethereum may replace it with bitcoin.

Oh, people, look at the Bitcoin/USD chart and then look at the ETH/USD chart. It is exactly the same and ETH now is in the same position as Bitcoin was in december. You should never believe in endless growth! Soon it will go DOWN.

Bitcoin is still the king of cryptocurrency as of now if you are pertaining to rankings. Data will not lie about that but the possibility that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin in no. 1 spot is possible. Ethereum price have already soared high more or less 80% since the start of January 2017. Many new coins are using the Eth platform because it has low transaction fee. So it is not impossible for Ethereum to overtake Bitcoin but it will take so much time before that will happen. It still depends on the people who are using or will use it.

yes i hope ethereum will be the new king of crypto. but I still have great doubts, right now I have bought a lot for ethereum. hopefully eth will be pumped this month

I've said for quite a while that Ethereum may well overtake Bitcoin one day as it actually has a use and a purpose. Bitcoin may address scaling issues etc with lightning and the addition of smart contracts but Ethereum has been developing smart contracts for some time now. I can see it possible taking the marketcap of BTC. To add to its adaptability Ethereum actually has a known creator. For all we know BTC was made by AI and, if that is the case, we may aswell all buy SingularityNET as we at least know the AI which built it.

I agree with you. The big advantage of Ethereum is that it is used in 90 percent of ICO.  For the further growth of prices is required to solve the problem of speed.
But now the price difference is too big. Ethereum will take a long time to catch up with Bitcoin.

for this year still can not happen if eth will lower bitcoin. currently the bitcoin position is still number 1 and still the strongest in cryptocurrency. eth can have a price like bitcoin but can not to overtake bitcoin in the near future, it is impossible.
