Ethereum probably becomes new king of crytocurrency world. With the increasing number of projects coming on Ethereum blockchain, the investor sentiment is overall bullish, as there has been an increasing amount of trust in Ethereum’s future. Recently, co-founder Vitalik Buterin revealed that the Ethereal blockchain has reached 1 million transactions on daily basis. Moreover, the Ethereum foundation has also received a grant worth millions of dollars in order to implement the projects for scaling research and to resolve the underlying scalability issues.

Ethereum will have bright future in 2018, and a lot of investors hope it will surpass Bitcoin. The Ethereum blockchain is a host to build a lot of decentralized applications with the already existing and top ones being CryptoKitties, 0x, EtherDelta, Status, and OmiseGo. These applications already have a huge customer base and perform thousands of transactions on the blockchain on daily basis. Moreover, major companies like Microsoft and JP Morgan are a part of the Enterprise Ethereal Alliance that looks after developing applications using the Ethereum’s blockchain protocol.

Hello Folk, is it the time for ethreum to lead from the front ? As bitcoin is going through rough ride along with other altcoins but ethreum is turning out to be more stable platform for investment and also new ICO's are based on ethreum. Do you think Ethreum will dethrone bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto this year?

I believe bitcoin will still be in the no.1 rank in crypto market this year because its very hard for ethereum to compete considering that their market cap have big difference and most especially the popularity in the crypto market worldwide

I totally agree. The foundation and technology of ETH is always at the forefront of Cypto. Bitcoin as gold. It's a hoax, but when it comes to technology, ETH is always on the top. Bellow is NEO

I don't think ETH was more stable than bitcoin. on the contrary, I see a complete dependence of ETH on bitcoin. bitcoin will remain the leader in the cryptocurrency market.

Market are often dominated by pioneers, and the market of cryptocurrencies is not an exception to the rule. Bitcoin is the only king of cryptocurrency since it has started and also keep aside every coin, But it is possible that Ethereum can give a strong competition to BTC since nowadays lot of people are trading and ETH is more cheaper and requires less time to transfer in comparison to BTC.

No, bitcoin will still be the king of all cryptocurrency. Ethereum will always be second to Bitcoin, eventhough bitcoin is very unstable nowadays. And Bitcoin is more trusted and popular than Ethereum.

I don't think Ethereum will beat bitcoin in the top cryptos but still there is a possibility as the time goes on. Bitcoin is the most popular crypto in investors, it is also one of the foundation of cryptos.

I invested on ethereum coins but I am not very optimistic that ethereum will overtake Bitcoin I think ethereum will remain under Bitcoin and remain an altcoin.

I would disagree, because Ehtereum is younger that Bitcoin and much weaker than it. So the price is too, much lower. Bitcoin is a king!

I categorically disagree, despite the fact that I fully support the ETH project, because today this project really deserves universal popularity, but still the most important project in the crypto currency is BTC, I am sure that you also recognize this.

Well, Ethereum is not there just yet, but its on the path to become one, the top spot is still safely under Bicoin's grasp, however, the slag Bitcoin has developed in the recent past in its transaction process and the fact that it expensive is working against it.Ethereum on the other hand has upped its game, constantly improving its technology to make it more efficient, the transaction speed becoming faster, and more people adopting it meaning its market cap is increasing
