It's just a fake issue or news so other investors get back on their investment because bitcoin prices are now too low. In India, it does not prohibit the existence of bitcoin in their country. So bitcoin prices will soon fall after the situation is under control. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Some people in panic sell because they know that it will occur, but clever people will hold it because the value of bitcoins won't fall in such news. Its cost decreases because most of all sell the coins.

The CEO of a Delhi cryptocurrency exchange platform claims Venezuela has offered the Indian government a whopping 30% discount on oil if it pays in Petro, the South American country’s state-issued cryptocurrency. Media outlet Business Standard says the CEO of Coinsecure, Mohit Kalra, explained, “[The Venezuelan government is] going to different countries and making offers.” According to the report, a team of experts from Venezuela’s blockchain department entered into a pact with Coinsecure to sell Petro in India. India Can Use Petro to Buy Venezuelan Oil at 30%

Digging up on the issue of India banning bitcoin (or cryptocurrencies altogether), it was actually a misunderstood statement from their head of finance.
What India wanted to ban is the "illegal activities" that's revolving around the crypto economy. In fact they wanted to explore the blockchain technology deeming it useful for the government.
Unocoin even announced "business as usual" a day after the said statement was delivered.
Besides, India banning cryptocurrency will only hurt the economy but would not mean the end of cryptocurrency.

Same with how Chinese people do investment even ICO was ban on them before. It is just a matter of who will stand to do still even it is against their law since we can ask anybody from other countries to do it for us as long as you trust them to do so.

The sequence of the aforesaid adversities cultivated a climate of fear in the minds of investors raising serious doubts on the future of cryptocurrency in India more so because of the continued haze on the legal canvas of the country.

What was the outcome of this in India? It because there bank banned bitcoin and effective immediately maybe the outcome will be there are decreasing happening with 2% down of the bitcoin price India is not that big impact in crypto market . That is why RBI banned transfering bitcoin from their e-wallet into there bank account .

Some time ago India was the second largest user after china, but when china banned bitcoin then happened a momentary panic that could make the price drop to 30% in a week, but unique can recovery again within 3 weeks, this proves that bitcoin user very loyal and I'm sure if India banned bitcoin then it would not be too impact.

It seems that the market is on the much better progress that it didn't affect too much by the banning, but it will be sad that countries were still banning this invention that can help many people.

It is their loss anyway. Though it is a fact that fear is the only reason why they need to banned Bitcoin to their country. It is their right to protect what they need to protect. As for me, as long as we use Bitcoin properly and our government supports it, we are very happy.
A single country will not make Bitcoin crash. Bitcoin will always there.

Really a sad thing to hear. I know India has not banned Bitcoin but forbid exchanges from engaging crypto coins purchase. India has to realize what is really going to uplift their economy. A sad thing is, almost more than 50 percent of investors are from India and it has a good market. The leaders have to realize the need of their countries and adapt bitcoin.

Op, no single country of the world can ban Bitcoin and it effect will crash Bitcoin value significantly and if such a thing will even happen to Bitcoin it should not come from India because India is the most strongest Bitcoin and crypto currency in general power house.

OMG, there will be NO Bitcoin crash. People, wait a bit, and your BTC coins will cost much more. Some of the financial experts are expecting that this cryptocurrency can grow over 20-25 thousand in 2018.

Currently there is no ban, just a misinformation here. Moreover, cryptosociety has never really relied or hoped for India's crypto industry to bloom, so I suppose even complete ban won't affect the rate much, though India has 1+ billion of potential users

i was also thinking the same way and even if it is really true that india had banned bitcoin , i think that wont still make a huge impact to the value of bitcoin because india is only a semi poor country which means there arent enough investors on them. we can only be threatend if bitcoin was banned on some major countries such as us or russia because both of these countries were said to the most number of bitcoin users when compared to other parts of the world.

Yes maybe it will have another crash due to this event, India is a big country and there are many investors in India also, losing so much investors will lead to another dump because people will sell all their Bitcoin to the markets cause they don't want to against the law.
And what then happened?

If india banned bitcoins then the people who are living there was very unfortunate but i think that there are still people who are holding bitcoins or other cryptocurrency in that country but they are just hiding.
