Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
This is not the first news about the Bitcoin ban, why should it be a disaster? Moreover, they want to introduce blockchain technology into the banking system. I believe that the decline in bitcoin prices is not at all because of this!

They did not ban anything! Keep selling though, you won't learn until you actually lose some money. If some people wouldn't buy high and sell low the whales and traders wouldn't be making money on them.
The most likely scenario IMO is China coming out with a news that they're deciding to open regulated crypto exchanges and everyone trying to buy back before it's too late. People are so easily manipulated...

The big problem is we have WAY to many unintelligent investors that have piled in. For me and many other investors who have gotten in early, we are chilling. I knew these pumps were going to come back down because they weren't justified. So let everyone lose their shirts that got in, they bought at the top and freak out over news. When investing in cryptocurrency you should really not sell for a lose, you should be investing enough that you are willing to lose 100% of it. Then you wont ever have these sort of issues. If you are looking for "safer" investments then go to stocks and get a financial advisor. If you are new to investing cryptocurrency is not going to be the way to go, as most people are abusing it and dumping all their money into it. India is still going to explore the blockchain technology in the new digital economy. I believe they mentioned that they are going to crack down on people using crypto for illegal activities. Regardless it’s impossible to completely ban Bitcoin or any Cryptocurrency.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
I doubt it would crash. Though bitcoin price will dip even more but it would never crash to the point where bitcoin will have no value. Just like the previous years, many FUD are circulating yet bitcoin still stand and grow. People in cryptocurrency will find ways to avoid the security of their government just to earn money from bitcoin.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
I am sure India didn't ban it yet. The finance minister said that bitcoin is not a legal tender in India and the expert committee recommendation is currently being reviewed. That means, you can't use bitcoin for purchasing or selling of any goods or services. But they didn't mention anything about bitcoin holdings of the individual citizens. They didn't ban investment in it. I watched it live so don't fall for any useless newspaper reproducing it in their own language. If you are holding bitcoin in India, you are not doing anything illegal. So that is not the reason for the bitcoin's downward price trend. There must be some other reason and I will appreciate if anyone can point it out.

Is bitcoin only fixated on one country, of course that will not happen, that there are many countries that until now, still using bitcoin, even though the current price is a decrease, does not mean bitcoin will break down onward !!

Yes I am also explaining it to my friends that they are not banning bitcoin but they are only saying that bitcoin will not be a legalized currency for the state just like all other countries and that is the real meaning of not a legal tender. But some people who do not understand well consider it as a ban and they start to sell their bitcoins and they do not know that even anything happen if they will not sell off their bitcoins the price will not decrease. If we will stay in strong support with bitcoin then the price will not decrease but will increase with more strength.

We have seen thousands of news saying that some country banned bitcoin but still the price went up to 20.000$ last year. We cant know for sure if those news are true or not until the governments will make a public announcement at the tv's or in the media that they are against bitcoin and they will create a law to restrict bitcoin

India is not a big enough market to cause a bitcoin crash (remember that when China banned bitcoin for real in mid 2017, bitcoin's price ROSE).
The sell is simply people using this as an excuse to take profits, some might want to drive the price lower because they have buys lined up around the $9k mark.

yes, if we look at this, many countries are resisting and resisting bitcoin. including India. and of course the Indian government's actions have a negative impact on bitcoin value. do you remember what china did a few months ago? and the actions of china make the price of btcoin crash and fall. why can it happen? yes, because bitcoin is very sensitive, so bitcoin is very easy high and also very easy to fall.

No, this will not happen. When you look at BITCOIN alone, you may not see the bigger picture. If India ban all the crypto currencies, there are other countries.

Well, this is not new for bitcoin and i have read articles about india's plan of banning and for sure bitcoin will be affected by this just like what happened with china but bitcoin will always survive even without China and now India. And as i can remember, it was after couple of days after China's move that bitcoin skyrocketed to 20K USD.

There was a lot of fake news today all over the media about the ban of cryptocurrencies in India when the budget was announced ,the market certainly dipped after the news ,but i am not sure whether the market went down because of this news or not because i have not seen exchanges in India pulling big numbers like China or Korea when it comes to volume ,so a real ban must not pull the market down, either way from what i heard there is no ban as they are talking about illegal funds being squashed and cointelegrah came up with a article relating to that.

All are firm trick, they keep on shouting ban of bitcoin and majority financial services and institutions are keen into it everyday. The reality is it has being proven that it will definitely affect central banks and it subsidiaries if majority and individuals use digital currency rather than fiat note.

I think it’s the other way, they’re using bad news or making a black propaganda to make price go down. It succeed now because there is a big lope hole in new investors knowledge about this situation but many attempts they failed badly last year because the older investors learn they’re lesson as that days there are massive supports to strengthen or make the value higher, mostly now they want it lower to buy.

All kinds of bad news and rumours are spread these, on purpose, just to create FUD to make the price decline. The news about India banning bitcoin is not really the real fact, they are looking for possibilities to regulate cryptocurrencies. This together with the tether issue, is spread at the same time that exchanges were hacked and big merchants ending bitcoin payments. Now that the price has declined, those who are responsible for all this, will be buying large amounts of bitcoin again.

I think Bitcoin will not go down just because some country decides to block Bitcoin. For example like my country, Indonesia and India are blocked, then various other countries are also blocking. I do not think it will affect Bitcoin. Even if it brings influence, the influence that is brought is only temporary. I do not think Bitcoin can ever be completely blocked. For example, like porn sites, many countries block it, but in fact many people can easily access porn sites only with Google. Even a small child can. Same goes for Bitcoin.

There must be some other reason and I will appreciate if anyone can point it out. Yes it has not been banned till now officially. Just an announcement has come from the finance minister that it is not legal for payments and yet no actions have been taken. Just some people trying to spread FUD. Six months earlier, the indian government formed a committee to give its suggestions regarding legalizing virtual currencies.Hope that its report has not been yet submitted to the government and the finance minister is just waiting for the committee's report to proceed further.

I think that India is not a big contributor to bitcoin like China or Japan to influence its price. But unfortunately this news was zoomed big by the FUD spreaders due to which it contributed a little to the price fall.
Indian finance minister has just said that bitcoin is not a legal tender. That's it.
Indian government has been discussing in this regard and had already formed a committee to submit its recommendations regarding crypto currencies. It seems that it may soon regulate crypto currencies.

India NOT BANNED bitcoin, the news getting in the opposite direction which caused the price fall, now the price is under $9K.I think India is not against the crypto currency they also want to regulate them, the finance minister of India said that Bitcoin is never a legal tender in India and now they want to stop crypto currency usage from the illegal activities, which doesn't mean bitcoin is Illegal there.Later the official from RBI cleared the doubt that was misreported in medias. They said we continue to work hard and grow the crypto currency industry in their country because Narendra Modi the prime minister of India is always in the favour of cashless economy.

First of all, India did NOT ban cryptocurrencies. It is not a legal tender meaning you can't exchange goods with cryptocurrencies.
"The government does not consider cryptocurrencies as legal tender or coin and will take all measures to eliminate the use of these crypto assets in financing illegitimate activities, or as part of the payment system," Jaitley said according to economic times article.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
India did not ban bitcoins its a fake news .The finance minster of India only said that bitcoins are not legal tender in their country which means it is not accepted locally as a currency and he also mentioned the investors should make investment at their own risk and they are not liable if they end up in loss as most of the young investors from India were investing in bitcoins more over the government is trying to make bitcoins legal in their country does not mean now it is illegal they are going to make a regulatory body in order to find out the big fish in the bitcoin market from their country . Some think that spreading wrong info about bitcoin ban will bring the value of btc to crash so that they can buy in more btc as there are lot of people waiting for it to fall.

India has not banned bitcoin. Someone has already said that India should, like China, strictly restrict bitcoin transactions, they do not prohibit people from investing in bitcoin.

India simply does not recognize Bitcoin as the legal tender, but it also acknowledges blockchain technology that encourages payment systems.

Yes they are not banning bitcoin in India but this is not a legal lawful tender in India, beside they are embracing blockchain to their place and one of that is ripple. Instead of recognizing in bitcoin they did not make bitcoin as a legal. Do you think this is can affect bitcoin price? there'e another reason of bitcoin fallen down and it's normal for bitcoin it because of volatile assets. Don't lose hope just hold on until the price will bouncing back in the marketscap.

Do one thing people:
Go on facebook and twitter and inform people about bitcoin and ask them to buy, post it in comments under various groups. It doesnt matter if facebook is banning ads, you can still help even if you create fake accounts and post from there. It all depends on you to inform the public, the more people the higher bitcoin can rise.
Do it now before its late.

We have seen thousands of news saying that some country banned bitcoin but still the price went up to 20.000$ last year. We cant know for sure if those news are true or not until the governments will make a public announcement at the tv's or in the media that they are against bitcoin and they will create a law to restrict bitcoin
Yes, you are right. Anyone can obstruct bitcoin with any news. If a big investor will go to sell/stolen then market can falling down sometimes. Not even die or crash. So banned or illegal its doesn't matter.

People who dont will panic about this are all unintelligent and noob who never learned from the past. How many times does bitcoin becomes like this and still keep pumping at the times. They should know how to take some patience you buy high you sell low that was really not a good move so dont panice just wait and relax let them dump go buy.

People stop saying that bitcoin is banned in India because it is not, please understand that statement in the right way.Bitcoin was never considered as a legal tender in India but they are not against it.There maybe a new laws will be implemented to use bitcoin in their country but nothing hapoened yet but the FUD already created the price fall pretty much.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
Well, finally Bitcoin make the $8K bear scenario a reality. Took quite a long time and a lot of bad news for this to happen. eh? After the Tether and Finex thing, facebook ads banning, and now this. People have called a correction to $8K since Bitcoin was at $19K ATH. I never thought it was ridiculous, I kinda hoped that it will happen. Now it does happen and I'm fine. Honestly I think it won't go lower than $8K, we shall have a nice bounce from here. If you have some fiat left, buy now!

Just to clarify about JIO coin it is still at initial stages and their is no chance that it will released soon. They are working on it and once things do work out they would need to get nod from government and it will take time for government also to give nod as they will have to frame the laws accordingly if they have to approve it. So its a long time in making .

I also heard it like that in INDIA, but not all countries forbid it, even some countries that recognize this bitcoin a lot of advantages, but there is no legal basis governing the movement, and this should be immediately thought, hopefully this bitcoin in the coming year accepted in all countries

I heard it many times, some country banning bitcoin in their country, price will just go down due to FUD,fake news but still rise after eventually. If india will banned bitcoin,it won't affect too much because this country is not a big one. There's still lot of countries that accept and legalize bitcoin.

You know what it's a shame for us. You are counting words from those people who do not know nothing about Bitcoin/cryptocurrency. They fear this because some day we will take over their control. So what they are trying is creating FUD to break you and you are responding to their trap. Look around listen to the community you are in (this one) avoid this yellow media. They are not here to help you! They are here to destroy you!! When will you learn???
My point is if you blv in crypto currency in the first place then if even BTC goes down to under 100$ i think you won't be worried. JUST BUY coz im sure you missed the boat when it was under 100$ or even 1000$

Is Bitcoin not falling all these days? But not necessarily because the news is not good news for bitcoin, but the real cause of bitcoin's recent decline is not these, but the first two months rose too fast, out of the objective law, and now it is down some normal

Still a FUD from medias. It's hard to know the exact amount of times that BTC was "banned" or interpreted as banned in a country. It seems like we really have the same scheme than what we had in early 2014.
This interpretation is funny : for them, something "not legal" is illegal. In fact this is different, something not legal is not illegal, but governement just hasn't regulated it yet. Currently, there is almost no country where BTC is officialy legalized as payment system, so that would mean BTC is illegal in the whole world ? Seriously...

It's not being banned, just being regulated so that illegimate(black money) activities can be tracked. I don't know why is there so much hype in the market. It's time to buy people.

No way is the market crashing right now because of India. Like some people have already mentioned, Indias market isn't big enough to cause such a drop. Either a HUGE correction or bear market or both? all in all many predicted this. Will see just how low it goes.

Don't spread a fake news here bro.Bitcoin is not illegal in India. As like a South Korea, India have a idea to regulate the bitcoin in India. The government of India may decide to get some taxes for bitcoin. Even bitcoin became illegal in India, the price of bitcoin will fluctuate some how.But it will not affect the price of bitcoin.

OP atleast have some sense . When bitcoin became legal in india government doesnt took any decision on bitcoin or any crypto currency . More over government want to utilise blockchain features . Alos allocated budget fr AI and blockchain based research.I think OP doesnt know the fact simply spreading FUD bitcoin is never banned or never made legal in India . Government said the same thing on 2013 Bitcoin is not legal tender .

I four see this coming when the price skyrocketed in late last year I know it was a pump form big investors who want to make a lot of gain, and India banning of bitcoin has just little to do with the price of bitcoin and even at that most of us are after the technology and not the money. And I can also see that this price fall is another logic to get people to sell they bitcoin out of panic.

Even the first part of your question is fake one. India has not banned bitcoin, there is no such statement of the Government in or outside the Parliament that they are planning to ban bitcoin. Though it is true that Finance Minister of India stated that they are finding the ways to usher the bitcoin (cryptocurrency) in Indian digital economy through the available technology i.e. block chain. Indian Government is though worried about the misuse of bitcoin in illegitimate activities like terror funding and money laundering and if they are worried for this reason we can not claim their action to be unjustified because India is already suffering form terrorism, and Government has in the past taken several actions against hard currency too including calling back the 500 and 1000 denomination rupee notes in November 2016 claiming fake currency supply by its neighbor country and we have seen decrease in number of terror activities and the major source of funding was blocked by the Government. Indian Government is not against digital currency and on the contrary its Prime Minister Narender Modi is a big fan and a big ambassador of digital currency so they will never never ban it's usage but it is also true that they will never compromise their security so some rules and regulations will definitely will be framed and we will have to accept those rules and regulations. I see some speculators; cheaters; big whales behind all the scenes which are always trying to kill and eat flash of innocent creatures.

Haters of cryptos in the media uses every available government statement to highlight their dislike of bitcoin. It was a similar situation with South Korea where it was widely reported of ban. Same also with the statement of UK Prime Minister. Some section of the media just wish cryptocurrency dead.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
It seems like that the markets have responded very negatively to this news, and it is to be expected. However, the thing of interest is that there is actually no evidence as of now that the government is actually banning bitcoin. It is most likely going to be something like regulation of bitcoin to ensure that bitcoin doesn't get used in the black markets and so on. If bitcoin was banned from India, then surely Unocoin, one of the top Indian exchanges, would be down. But it isn't. And it even came out with an announcement saying that nothing has changed from their PoV since the government's speech. This is a classic panic dump right now... Don't sell into this.

This is not accurate and authentic news. India has not banned Bitcoin but only warned its citizens to be careful with cryptocurrency and in case if anything hilarious happens the government will not be responsible for it. This is not something that could seriously affect the Bitcoin price. Even if India Ban Bitcoin I think it will have no great effect on the price interms of drop because we have heard bitcoin banned by countries and have seen it as well. My opinion about Bitcoin price changed after China banned Bitcoin I don't any country else than US government are more influential to bring it's price low. So, stay cool and utilize the opportunity to buy BTC @ $8.5K only. I am going to buy as many I can. Its time to be greedy for Bitcoin.

I think this news won't have big impact on bitcoin price , because bitcoin is worldwide currency. So this news may have impact for people who live in India and now they affraid that they won't be able to use bitcoin. I suggest to not sell bitcoin now , it can be just news for dumping price. btw. this is good time to buy it for cheap price.

no. I think not like what you say. India does not have full power against bitcoin, unlike the country of bamboo curtain (china) only small groups are involved in bitcoin within the country of india. so according to my calculations, India will have no great effect on bitcoin and crypto.

The news is having a quite big impact, as evident from the 20% to 30% drop in the exchange rates. India had emerged as one of the major markets in 2016, after the government implemented the demonetization measures. Now a lot of investors (both Indian and non-Indian) are going to lose a big part of their hard earned savings.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
We have been watching this negative impact of the market of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin suffers as well as the other altcoins. However India is not the #1 player on the market. That is why BTC will grow again.

Seems like bitcoin was hit hard today, price went under $8k means, people selling their bitcoin, and less people buying it. As new came out about India, but i think it's not related to India only, may be some other reasons too, as we all know India is not a big player in this market. However it hurts to see the price this low. hope it recovers soon.

In fact, the government claimed that instead of this, it would encourage the use of blockchain technology in traditional payment systems, indicating that the Indian government saw the value behind the crypto.

STOP LYING
https://www.ccn.com/no-india-isnt-banning-bitcoin-as-mainstream-media-gets-it-wrong-again/
Contrary to the – now global – news coverage of Indian authorities enforcing an imminent ‘ban’ on bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, India is, quite simply, not banning cryptocurrencies nor their trading on exchanges. As CCN reported yesterday, India’s finance minister Arun Jaitley was delivering the country’s budget for 2018-19 when he touched on the subject of cryptocurrencies and their usage in the country. To quote, Jaitley stated: “The Government does not consider cryptocurrencies as legal tender or coin and will take all measures to eliminate the use of these cryptoassets in financing illegitimate activities or as part of the payments system.” The takeaways from the statement are: Indian authorities do not recognize bitcoin as legal tender. Indian authorities will crackdown on cryptocurrency usage in illegitimate activities and; Indian authorities will dissuade the public from using cryptocurrencies as payment instruments. Jaitley did not make any pointed remark on a ban of cryptocurrencies, nor signal a clampdown on cryptocurrency exchanges. A side note – India’s tax authorities are, in fact, using the help of cryptocurrency exchanges to chase tax evaders. However, the immediate aftermath of Jaitley’s remark sparked a torrent of erroneous reporting from India’s national press and mainstream media outlets about the Indian government outlawing and banning cryptocurrencies. “Arun Jaitley has just killed India’s cryptocurrency party,” screamed a headline from Quartz India, one of the earliest mainstream publications to report on the finance minister’s statement. ‘It appears to be the end of the road for cryptocurrencies in India’, read the introduction to the article with the rest following in a similar tone. A prominent news anchor for a major TV news channel watched by tens of millions of viewers wrote: “Bitcoin to be banned. Crypto currency illegal in India says Arun Jaitley” on her Twitter account of over a million followers. “India vows to eliminate use of cryptocurrencies,” read a dramatic headline from Reuters India, pointing to a “no-holds-barred attack on virtual currencies such as bitcoin” by Indian authorities. Global mainstream reports ran with the same narrative. “Bitcoin Price Slides Again As India Announces Ban Plan” read a headline from Fortune. That has since been amended to “India Just Caused the Price of Bitcoin to Slide Again.” No Ban. Repeat: No Ban! As CCN stressed yesterday, none of the above rings true. To be precise, Jaitley spoke of a crackdown on the abuse of cryptocurrencies in illegal activities as well as their use as a method of payment. Indeed, in an interview with Indian state-owned broadcaster Doordarshan following his national budget delivery, Jaitley was explicitly asked if the government was moving to ban cryptocurrencies. A direct translation of the exchange reads: TV Host: We’ve seen a lot of excitement over bitcoins. Why aren’t you banning it instead of stating it isn’t legal tender? Jaitley: We are discouraging people from using it now. There is a government committee that’s looking into it right now and they will announce their decisions and next steps after they are done. Still, no ban. The reference to the government committee is the long-established “Virtual Currency Committee’, an inter-disciplinary committee comprising of representatives from a number of ministries as well as those from the central bank and India’s biggest bank (also state-owned) tasked toward proposing a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies in India. The committee was established by India’s Ministry of Finance in April 2017. To date, no findings have been made public yet. What’s the Fuss About? For India’s bitcoin industry, it’s business as usual. Sathvik Vishwanath, chief executive Unocoin, one of India’s largest -and best-funded – bitcoin exchanges told CCN: “We did not see any change in the stance of the government. We are pleased the authorities are taking action against illicit usage of cryptocurrencies but, otherwise, there is no reason for any panic. It’s business as usual at Unocoin.” Zebpay, another leading Indian cryptocurrency exchange, added: To the contrary, India’s bitcoin industry is buoyed by the finance minister’s remarks on cryptocurrencies during a national address in delivering the nations’ budget. “When a platform as significant as the Union Budget speech mentions cryptocurrencies, it is clear that the sector is coming of age,” read a statement from the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Committee of India. “We welcome this positive development, and see it as an important milestone in the journey to policy-clarity and consumer-education.” Meanwhile, India’s mainstream media has previously jumped the gun with false reporting on cryptocurrencies and their legality in the country. In March 2017, a number of major Indian media sources incorrectly reported bitcoin has been classified “illegal” by the Indian government. In summary, do not be misled. India isn’t banning cryptocurrencies, nor their trading in the country.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
what is the great influence of india ban on crypto? how many crypto users in india country? is there any data about this? I don't think there is any major influence from India ban on crypto. it's just that the market is currently low and very down. This is not the effect of the India ban. I think only a few percent of Indians are involved in crypto.

Personally I think India confused. Their stance now exemplifies double standards to the apex. How can you love blockchain and hate on bitcoin? This is like robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Bitcoin is not legal tender in India, bitcoin will not have a special effect on it, bitcoin is not traded in India, some traders are already doing business with the permission of the government, currency exchange exchangers are also involved in this.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
Obviously it is just normal for the bitcoin market value to crash because a lot of people will stop and cannot use or make a transaction using a bitcoin and i guess it is just a normal thing to happened but I guess even if the market goes down in the coming month or year no problem will happen because we cannot shut down the market so it will continue its journey to pump into the market so i guess bitcoin will recover in the market surely so you could wait until the market pump.

Despite of looking at the true story people are getting crazy with the media report. The finance minister of India said BTC is not a legal tender of RBI(reserve bank of India) And they are trying to control any kind of illegitimate activity of crypto currency. In any one want see the official statement, just watch the video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFDUpzTr-_c or search youtube Arun Jaitley (Finance minister) on bitcoin. **I made a post yesterday about "Watch the official statement of government of India on cryptocurrency" in the legal section. But people are real crazy they don't want to see the reality they loves rumours. So my post got no comment and 9 views only

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
No, India haven't banned bitcoin it's just that the finance minister of India Arun Jaitley don't like idea of cryptocurrencies as proven in the budget session held recently, but he does like the idea of the blockchain technology and he is finding ways to implement that in the country by participating with unocoin which is an Indian exchange. So I believe that he isn't gonna ban bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies, it's just that he is gonna end the illegal usage of cryptocurrencies by regulating the trades on exchanges.

Right sir. I agree with you sir.

I think we must encourage healthy posts and uplifting messages and stop the FUD.There's nothing as btc is going to crash. Its just the fears that trigger all these bad reports based on rumours and half truths. Upon careful investigation you might find that its not entirely true.

The thing is, people reading comprehension suffered as well when crypto is booming, they can't really process and understand what they read. Once they read something with words like "banning" + crypto = panic selling. India has been on neutral grounds for the longest time, every announcement they made neither confirm or deny bitcoin being illegal in the country. Unfortunately, everyone has reading comprehension issues now and it turns into massive FUD causing the price to plummet again. Really sad though, but the damage has been done. Although I expect that those who panic sells are those investors who bought bitcoin at top price during the hysteria in December. They don't have steady hands, and immediately sells without understanding of the situation.

I think that they do not ban bitcoin but they just say that bitcoin will not be a legalized currency for a country like all other countries and that is the true meaning of the unauthorized tender. But some people who do not understand think it's good as a ban and they start selling their bitcoin and they do not know that even if something happens if they do not sell their indigo the price will not decrease. If we will keep strong support with bitcoin then the price will not go down but will increase with more power and we pray for bitcoin soon in legal

There is no ban that India said! They just remind the citizen that cryptocurrency is a risky asset! You can gain double profits or it may lose all of your money. Don't make some news a misleading topic! A lot of newbies are having a panic selling because of this such thread. A lot of banning cases I've seen before, China is one of it but bitcoin still moving and ot doesn't affect even there are numerous country that bans bitcoin. Unless bitcoin will not be banned in this world and many people are using it, don't be scared to invest with bitcoin.

Only the government of India banned the cryptocurrency and they discontinue to use Bitcoin. They not consider cryptocurrencies to be legal tender and will try to phase out payments using Bitcoin. They can it, because they will fight the money laundering and the funding of terrorism.

As far as I have seen, their Finance minister said that "Bitcoin will not be used as a legal tender", the problem is their media conveyed it differently to the people. Well, thats what media does most of the time.

It will crash for that reason banning bitcoin in some country can make it fall for a while, and the big countries that gets banned in using it can really reduced the amount of bitcoin users that uses bitcoin as their investment to offer can really affect our bitcoins price and I really feel it now my bitcoin falls down that I can't stop it in decreasing but I trust bitcoin that it can increase it price again this coming months.

All you need to know can be found in the press section on the forum. If you're asking about updates from India, everything is in order there. No ban. As you can see people panicked and oversold their coins lowering the price to 8k USD. Some people made some huge mistakes today.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
I think the banned is not yet confirmed as the Budget and another financial report is awaited and the major decision will be taken after that report is been disclosed. And I think banning the bitcoin in India can bring the bitcoin value down to some extent but it is necessary that it will crashes. But yes banning has made the bitcoin more weaken and also Facebook has also banned the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies ICO's ads which were used to appear on their website and by this bitcoin has been losing its strength in this market.

Stop FUDing everyone. It'll eventually cause a massive panic sell and bitcoin price will drop hard. Well, I guess it's a big advantage for me since I get to buy a lot more bitcoins at a very cheap price. So I guess noobs can keep FUDing Indian fake news so I can buy more bitcoins.

This is all a fake and as always it is profitable for someone to distribute such news! India did not forbid it! The government does not impose a ban on free trade in crypto currency on exchanges, but only does not recognize Crypto as legal tender for goods and services.

I think you need to re-read the information. They just don't accept Bitcoin payments and will do all they can to removal of Bitcoin support for illegal purposes. That can make their economy more manageable. India does not forbid Bitcoin, their government is exploring Blockchain technology. Currently, Bitcoin is fluctuating sharply, but I do not think it will collapse by the decisions from India

I'm sure this will not be long, just as it did with the beginning of november when china banned bitcoin prices drop from $ 4300- $ 3100 and 2 weeks bitcoin prices continue to skyrocket, a lot of news stating that prices drop because Chinese users want to celebrate Chinese New Year.

even if this is baloney, and it probably is, it's almost certain india will ban it eventually. look what they did with everyone's cash. they're not gonna let something like bitcoin flourish there.

With the current pricing today? I think bitcoins are crashing already. Sad part about this is I think it is going to take longer than we thought for bitcoins to reach and overcome the $18,000 price point. But have faith, bitcoins will make a return this 2018. We just don't know it yet.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? You guys just watch something and come up with whatever you think is truth, isn't it? The worst problem here is media, they just add too much spice to the news and serve it because we people want it that way. Our Finance Minister said that Bitcoins or any cryptocurrency is not a legal tender or coin and is not going to be accepted here. And he wants to eliminate the use of cryptocurrencies from India to stop illegal activities that are getting done by Underworld guys as well as terrorists. If we get into the depth of what he tried to convey, we can clearly see that he didn't say that Bitcoins are illegal, but if someone tries to steal tax from Government, they are doing wrong and will probably be scrutinized. Will BTC now crash? If BTC is about to crash, it would have crashed very badly already. But, it looks like whales took the advantage of this scenario when people started panic selling and value fell down near 5 Lacs. It's currently stable between 6.3 - 6.5 Lacs and I believe we will be seeing higher values back very soon. I think this year is somehow bad for crypto because not one, but many countries have now taken Bitcoins in their talks and it has become the beat of the buzz. I think there is a misundertanding here. Do they ban it totally or just for illegal purpose?
Exactly as you have wrote Indian finance minister said it will eliminate usage of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin in "criminal use cases." Mainstream media took it as "it will eliminate usage of cryptocurrencies" and forgot the rest. It is classic media fud headlines always look source

It is just speculations that has been used today to manipulate the market and I'm sad that they succeeded to do that. Their main objective was to cause retail traders to do panic selling. I hope you didn't!

We have to wait to see how the new news emerges. Does anyone have updated information about today?
All you need to know can be found in the press section on the forum. If you're asking about updates from India, everything is in order there. No ban. As you can see people panicked and oversold their coins lowering the price to 8k USD. Some people made some huge mistakes today. That's the problem when you are lack of information, better to make sure to read first and since you are into an investment better to plan much better and study the flow, India's stand is not banning but to give peoples awareness about their position with Cryptos.

I don't thing india can influence the market so much that it ca make bitcoin drop so much in value. All this mess is because of Tether and let's hope this will be solved soon. Until then , buy some bitcoin , buy some altcoin , and take a look at Aitheon ICO , it will be a good ICO for sure.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
Stop spreading fake news all over the internet. You should do your research before posting such bullshits and spread more rumours. India won't be banning bitcoin. The speech made by Jaitley was just misinterpreted and people are now panicking. He never said that bitcoin will be banned, just cited that it is not a legal tender. In fact they are now taking initiatives to embrace the block chain technology.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
Users read his statement again ❗❗ #Fact 1: Government will eliminate Cryptocurrency – to curb illicit activities. It doesn’t mean they will stop cryptocurrencies from trading. If you are trading bitcoin/crypto on exchanges and paying your taxes, you are not doing anything illicit. #Fact 2: Government does not recognise Crypto as legal tender. Which means you cannot make or accept payments for goods and services in Bitcoins or any cryptocurrency. So you are still free to buy and sell cryptocurrency on exchanges. #Fact 3: Government did not say there will be a ban on cryptocurrency. Indian government can however ban ICOs in India. We have to wait and watch. So the conclusion is Indian government did not completely banned bitcoin stupid head

I hope you didn't! India didn't ban bitcoin, all they wanted to do is curb illegal use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by imposing some sort of regulations. But as always the news was twisted and changed by the mainstream media, and someone who really wanted to crash the market succeeded. The price will recover slowly as the people will realize that the Indian ban is nothing but fake news and one big hoax. Be patient.

No, bitcoin is crashing not because of India banning the bitcoin. This is the basic nature of bitcoin. It will rise and again it will grow up. And bitcoin price may be also in declining due to the introduction of new crypto which solves different solutions and have some better features which does not possess by the bitcoin. This is the main purpose of bitcoin's crash. I hope you get your answer.

The government and reserve Bank of India always refers to bitcoin negatively. The Ministry of Finance even call it a pyramid scheme. Nevertheless, each tenth of a bitcoin transaction is made in India. The government does not recognize bitcoin as a legitimate payment instrument. But in the future, India is willing to develop and support the technology of the blockchain.

There's a lot of issues about banning bitcoin in a different country, but it has different reasons. According to a site that I'm reading right now it stated that, "India appears intent only on stopping criminal activity" which leads to misleading reports that India would ban trading completely because they see it as illegal. “The government does not consider cryptocurrencies legal tender or coin and will take all measures to eliminate the use of these cryptoassets in financing illegitimate activities or as part of the payment system,” Mr Jaitley told parliament in his annual budget speech. Here's the link regarding bitcoin in India: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/bitcoin-price-value-latest-india-ban-trading-south-korea-regulation-us-uk-rules-a8191566.html

I've read the misleading news that India will ban bitcoin and because of that the price of btc went down. I think someone is already manipulating the price of cryptocurrencies so that they can gain profit from it. Just like what happened when South Korea announced that they will ban cryptocurrency, the price also went down and after that, they announce again that they will not ban it then the price went up. They are abusing the misleading news so that the people will be in panic selling their bitcoin which will make the price of btc lower. What will they do is buy the btc and after a few days, the price will go up again and India will announce that they will not ban bitcoin.

It's not being banned, just being regulated so that illegimate(black money) activities can be tracked. I don't know why is there so much hype in the market. It's time to buy people. Also, this is not something very new and who really cares about India. It is not as powerful and developed as China, Japan, Canada etc. are. Let India do what suits it best. Such bad news don’t really affect bitcoin. I am with you all in this matter. Honestly, the real reason which many deny is the big whales create such situations so that small investors sell out their coins. After all, this is how they make money.

So many people worried about bitcoin and all cryptocurrency banned in India, South Korea, China, and Indonesia. Why do you fear about that? I wanna ask you, at a first time Bitcoin has appear, who is support them? any country? or professional analyze? and where you at? Now, why are we worried about that?
There is no need to get worried about these temporary banning of digital currencies in your countries because it is crystal clear that bitcoin would be one day the most powerful, legal international currency of the world. Moreover if people protest for declaring bitcoin legal, I don’t think so that government can turn down their demands because the power always lies in the hand of common people. Just keep working with bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency experts are predicting a bull run in 2018. Governments and Central are scared of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies disrupting their "usual" business but we are here to tell it is not business as usual..Since they cant beat us, they should join us.

we can not deny any ban in every country will cause the slightest effect. what happens to the Indian state has a big effect, because it coincided with the correction of last year's increase. but, I guess currently bitcoin is starting to grow and maybe india will be like china, part of crypto past.

When the ban has become a daily topic, the news is no longer keeping bitcoin prices down. At least the U.S. has acknowledged the status of bitcoin, and bitcoin can't die.

It is just speculations that has been used today to manipulate the market and I'm sad that they succeeded to do that. Their main objective was to cause retail traders to do panic selling. I hope you didn't! That is right — the panic on the market started, people rushed selling their Bitcoins, the demand for this cryptocurrency decreased. As the result BTC and all altcoins together with it lost a lot. Rumors, especially negative information can always cause dips.

No, that kind of news can make a high dip in the price but cannot make the coin to crash. Remember that dips in the price is healthy for the coin so more people can join to the crypto market.

Many countries declare that BTC is illegal, because these countries do not get any benefit in the BTC or digital encryption money market!
Digital money market potential they can't see!
BTC will get used to these regulations, and the value of BTC will be pursued by more people!
BTC won't crash!

BTC is already at the verge of crashing though there are hopes for it to rise back with a higher rate. Talking about India, though it is banned in India, Indians will find a easier way to regain the money from the cryptocurrency. PS: this is as per my perspective.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
India does not banned bitcoin. It just banned the illegal use of bitcoin that truth to itself, is really threatening to a country's status botch economically and its security. If chances that India banned bitcoin, it will not crash. There are still alot of people who are using bitcoin and they are far greater than the population of india. It will not crash, it will just add up to the price fluctuation together with other news about FUD. india with such huge population and low standard of living is banning what suppose to help the people in the country. what a gullible government.
The problem is, we should read more on what actually happened and what the prime minister said than just jumping into conclusion and believing some people's false news. That's why bitcoin price is depreciating, those that hear the false news panic sell.

That is correct, friend! Some people here some news and do not understand what people are talking about. They start the panic, and this panic has a negative effect on BTC.

Its a process of trial and error. But keep it mind that the higher the risk, the higher the gain. Not onkybwil you gin money, but will also earn experience to dealwith this kind of situations. Besides, india is not the only place bitcoin is coming from. There are other country the would impact more on this issue.

I have so many topics that ask this kind of question and I am terrified how forum member responds. For me, even tough there are so many band that happen the bitcoin will still raise. India is considered a huge country but not as huge as China but there could be effect of the ban. People in India that is hard core bitcoin miners, trader or holders could fly in the near country to continue their works. But as you can see, a couple days ago USA announce that they will not ban crypto, which then resulted in the bounce back of price of almost all cryptos. I mean, just one country ban it, price drops while another country support it price goes up again.

Yea, this has been documented and as usual this has received quite an uproar on the bitcoin community well at least from the circles that I have been to. However, we can still use this opportunity to turn around the bad portrayal and image that is being castes on bitcoin but we can still work around this and use it towards the empowerment of bitcoin and for media coverage

at times like when the recent drop happened it really doesn't matter if they banned it or not. even if they mass adopted it as a legal way of payment like Japan it still wouldn't have made any differences because the market makers were crashing the price and panic sellers were jumping off the ship throwing away their valuable bitcoins.

Ico's are also banned in china back before in 2017 and it truly decrease the prices of cryptocurrency in the market however there are still people who are interested in bitcoins and that is the reason why all of the cryptocurrency has raised its value in the market last december. It only means that banning of bitcoins in some of the country will not affect market that much because it the prices will still go back to normal after a few months.

This info was nothing but a strategic by the big players in bitcoin to forces bitcoin holders to rush into panic selling and for them to have an advantage of buying bitcoin at a cheaper price due to panic. Because the news of bitcoin being ban in China was an unconfirmed news and even due the news is true there are some of bitcoin lovers who will never allowed such ban to totally affect they transactions in bitcoin, this might only affect bitcoin price for some time but before you know it the price will rise again.

Yeah, I read this article. The government of India wanted to eliminate the use of these cryptocurrencies in financing illegal activities or being part of the payment systems. They are intense in their fight for money laundering and the funding of terrorism that's why as I see they are very cautious when it comes to the cryptocurrency like bitcoin dominance issue. There is no confirmation that it is a "Ban" issue. Bitcoin price is volatile in nature so it is not a new headline if it crashed or soared. The reality is bitcoin is still there many are interested about it.

I have read the article too and to my understanding they did not cited out that Bitcoin will be banned in India but rather eliminate the usage of cryptocurrencies in criminal cases because these digital currencies are untraceable which is true. There has not yet any solid confirmation with the banning of cryptocurrencies but we'll see in the next few months if it will be implemented and if so then bitcoin for sure will dip down again.

Bitcoin already crash and i think that there is no way for bitcoin to get cheaper or reach lower prices because it is stabling at the price range of 8,000-9,000 USD and i believed that in the future, bitcoin will have an another run and it will give a lot of profits for the people who are held their bitcoin and also who bought when the price of bitcoin is low.

I doubt this ban will be real. Most likely it's just disinformation once again or market manipulation. There was already similar information about South Korea.

India hasn't banned bitcoin in India in a correct sense the finance minister just said that they will be studying about the blockchain technology how it works and other things but that still caused many Indians to panic sell their bitcoins maybe which resulted in an increase in supply and caused the prices to go down and wherever or on anything that can be thought of taxing Indian government is there already trying to tax it.

The government of India said that they are going to eliminate the usage of cryptocurrencies but they HAVE NOT banned it yet. If you look closely to the statement of finance minister of India, he says Wrong interpretation: Bitcoin is illegal. Correct interpretation: Bitcoin cannot be used as legal tender. Bitcoin cannot be used for illegitimate activities. * No, India Isn’t Banning Bitcoin as Mainstream Media Gets it Wrong [Again]. Moral of the story: Never trust the stories from the media.

Similar news is spread deliberately to create panic and bring down prices for bitcoin. Because of this bitcoin fell to 6000 dollars. It's good that the coin has recovered now.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
it is bad info for bitcoin but it seems that the info is not very influential for bitcoin price because if you know a lot of issues of the state that bitcoin banned and make the price down it is a trick to get a cheap price if you do not realize it?

bitcoin is now legal in Jamaica ....what however is need now is infrastructure as currently no one from the country can buy bitcoins directly ....it would be great if we could set up a bitcoins exchange in Jamaica .. they could call themselves the pilgrims of Jamaican bitcoins, perhaps even start a church ( they love churches in Jamaica) to make it more readily accepted.

Nope. Bitcoin banned in one country will not make any much effect, on the same time other country may open the door for Bitcoin. Bitcoin have been accepted by most digital savvy countries and countries like Inida don't have much infrastructure to support internet to have Bitcoin as legal tender is the cause for their ban I think.

The Government of India does not lose the virtual currency as a legitimate payment instrument. The Government will also take steps to reduce the use of crypto assets in forbidden activities including criminals. but I do not think it has much effect on bitcoin prices. Though the price dropped at that time only because of people selling panic

The big risk is that we have many investors who do not know what has accumulated. For me and many other investors who have entered early, we really crave. I know this pump will come back down because it is not justified. So, let everyone lose their T-shirts, they buy at the top and panic because of the news. When investing in crypto-hanging you should not sell to lose, Then you will not have this kind of trouble. If you're looking for a "safer" investment, go into stock and get a financial advisor.

Indian is not the only country using Bitcoin, there are several countries that uses bitcoin today so if Indian ban it bitcoin will still survives, moreover they can only ban open trade of it that does not stop transaction among bitcoiners in that same country.

I don't think there is any major influence from India ban on crypto. it's just that the market is currently low and very down. This is not the effect of the India ban.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
I just read an article that India has not yet banning crypto currency for the second time. A finance minister Arun Jaitley just generated a tsunami of the Bitcoin party is over in India. He also stated that their government doesn't consider crypto currency as a coin. In the article that I posted here, you'll see what did Mr. Jaitley said about block chain. His lines may be sounding like he is against in the crypto and like he's pouring cold water, but he means that it is up to people on what will they do to their coins. Whether they hold it and take a risk. Link: https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/03/psa-no-india-hasnt-banned-bitcoin-but-its-still-talking-tough-on-crypto/

The ban was a threat on bitcoin and has not actually taken effect. Large banks are also limiting exchanges that deals with cryptocurrency. The government is working on controlling the price, not to go beyond $12000.

The OP must close this thread so that FUDs will be stopped even on this entire thread. There are many newbies that are scared about those FUDs and India did never banned bitcoin so this is a very fake news. The price now is counting $11,200 and moving more so thanks to those supporters but no thanks to the FUD people who loves to create fake news.

I have a friend from India and this news is not true. Even India really banned Bitcoin, BTC will continue to go up. Late Bitcoin comers is the reason why there so much FUD casters. They hire scumbag people from Twitter, FB, blogs and even here in Bitcointalk to make people believe and sell their BTC. This would surely make the price dump. India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?

Yes there many people in Crypto World do a panic selling, because they thinking Bitcoin will going crash and value of CryptoCurrencies are decreasing because they sell it quickly. It's only a few country ban bitcoin, it will not crash.. The great way you must do is HOLD, I'm sure it will going up again.

Never heard such news, Better to post source link if you want people believes you. So what India banned the bitcoin it doesn't mean bitcoin crash or destroy. Always remember its decentralized, Nobody can control it, it will survive until people agree on not stop using it which is impossible.

Yes, it could affect the price of bitcoin to slide down because the finance minister of india announced to ban bitcoin in their country. But we should also clarify this news how reliable it is. Or is just a false news so that many investor will afraid to invest their money in bitcoin.

You need to read it carefully. It does not explicitly say that India forbids bitcoin. India's finance minister said bitcoin would not be the legal currency of India, and did not say that bitcoin was illegal in India, which would cause panic.

India is not now a country that can affect the course of development of the crypto world! Why not write that other countries are more and more opening their doors to bitcoin? !! Serious crypto organizations and miners are leaving China today! Soon such countries as China and India will not affect the development of the crypto world!

No it will not, the entire ico's are also banned in china before back in october last year and it really decreased the value of bitcoins in the market for the mean time but still it managed to reach 19k dollar before the year ends so no worries about banning of btc in other countries.

Bitcoin becomes illegal in government India does not make decisions about bitcoin or any crypto currency. More than the government wants to utilize the blockchain feature. Allocate blockchain-based budgets and research because I do not think they know that spreading FUD on bitcoin has never been banned or never made legally in India.

I do not think bitcoin holder in India will sell their coins after hearing his government decided to ban bitcoin, they exactly have many ways to keep using bitcoin. Bitcoin was once banned in China but a few weeks later bitcoin price hit his highest price ever. People should not worry about this thing just relax and keep hold wait until a good price.

This is not the first news about the Bitcoin ban, why should it be a disaster? Moreover, they want to introduce blockchain technology into the banking system. I believe that the decline in bitcoin prices is not at all because of this! Is this the same news that i heard it before and repeat again? If yes then its not good for bitcoin growing since many people will think bad about bitcoin because of the same issue spread many time.

Bitcoin is not dependent on only one country so if the one country has bane this the other countries are allowing bitcoin and bitcoin is the growing currency for the bitcoin community it is normally happen in bitcoin that prices fall rapidly but this all recover in the same time as well So bitcoin is good and this will be regular allow in the India.

India may not be a big market like China but this still negatively affects the crypto market. It makes many concerned about what it can do to price the Altcoin they own so they will sell everything they own that makes the market dizzy.

If the price has gone down a bit, now everyone is talking about the death of crypto-currency and bitcoin. And everyone sells not to burn out. But there is a line below which it will not fall. When the price is attractive enough. Bitcoin will be bought again and the price goes up

It does not matter if india will ban bitcoins because life goes on to those traders and investors. China also banned all the ico's in their country before and it affects the market just for awhile but it still manage to grow its value before december.

No,because India will adopt the BTC gradually and just because its not leagle there people wont stop using it completely, as there are other uses of BTC in International market and also a kind of profitable investment too the general user in developing countries like india, hence they wont go completely towards the zero use policies instead they will gradually see the change in their own country and adapt it. China did a similar move too but had no major outcome on the transactions .

It doesn't matter, some countries now ban bitcoin and bitcoin will not fall. Bitcoin had many supporters, and many countries supporting bitcoin so i think that bitcoin will stand strong and will not fall. I believe in bitcoin, because cryptocurrency will be our future!

As everyone said, you don’t need to panic. Bitcoin is such a big market that it cannot be said to crash overnight, and India is not the first country to prohibit Bitcoin. I believe Bitcoin will overcome all these difficulties and then Return to the normal market.

The huge amount of cost support will not result in what you say. The short-term supervision of policies is not good, but it is good for the development of Bitcoin in the long-term.

Investigating the matter, seriously just found that no such decision has been taken yet. This news seem to be rumor to disturb the market nothing else, I believe that India being a developing country will definitely bring proper rules for crypto currency market.

No it will be not trash or it wont crash, even india has a big part in btc or really all countries that has bitcoin in theur land has big part to btc, their are too many supporters and big alliance of btc if a country will ban a btc because just think of the crisis that China has banned btc, just look that btc increases more and more in that time so even though a country will ban btc still it cannot be crash.

News about banning bitcoin in some countries is not new to us, it has been always a scarecrow for the avid investors of bitcoin, but it never really affect the existence of bitcoin in the market, it may affect the price, but probably not the stability of the technology and the faith of the investors, because bitcoin remains to be strong in the marketcap where it is rolling.

Just the government of India prohibited the cryptocurrency and they suspend to utilize Btc. They not view cryptocurrencies as legitimate delicate and will endeavor to eliminate payments utilizing Btc. They would it be able to in light of the fact that they will battle the illegal tax avoidance and the financing of fear mongering.

The title is false, i could not find any news regarding any ban in India, It is a typical fake news and even if India ban the use of bitcoin, how the global market will get affected as i am not sure how much volume they are trading per day , but i am sure there are less users even though the population is high.

Even if it is banned, Since there's a lot of people using bitcoin and to let go interest for them is hard. It will never destroy until its price goes to 1$ or decrease more. Not only India, But other countries like china, and south Korea also did the same they banned the use of ICO. But bitcoin don't crash. It survive and become number one in crypto list .

It will depend on how community members will spread the news. If they spread the news with bad intentions for weak hands to panic and sell, then the market will crash again but if they encourage people to hodl despite the recent ban of cryptocurrencies in some countries, then the market will keep in shape. Still not fount the article where bitcoin is banned in India yet though.

India is not now a country that can affect the course of development of the crypto world! Why not write that other countries are more and more opening their doors to bitcoin? !! Serious crypto organizations and miners are leaving China today! Soon such countries as China and India will not affect the development of the crypto world

The Indian government is not fully banning Bitcoin. They can therefore reduce the illegal money transition that comes with Bitcoin, so they have made new rules on Bitcoin so that the government can bring a reduction in people who use illegal money in their country. But some people think the Indian government has banned Bitcoin. The people using Bitcoin are selling their coins at a lower price. Despite all these rumors, Bitcoin's market may be down slightly but Bitcoin may not crash completely

In addition, it should be understood what part is forbidden. Do not be easily provoked headlines, we must understand the contents. It could be prohibited only use as a means of payment or other.

at this time the price of Bitcoin dropped considerably compared to the price a few months ago. I do not expect this to happen but the fact that India is helping Bitcoin makes the price of Bitcoin down. However I hope Bitcoin prices will recover.

Yes maybe it will have another crash due to this event, India is a big country and there are many investors in India also, losing so much investors will lead to another dump because people will sell all their Bitcoin to the markets cause they don't want to against the law.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
Bitcoin is not being banned in India. This is just being wrongly projected in media. If you listen to the indian budget , you will clear see that he is talking about bitcoin will not be regulated in India. This does not mean it will be banned in India. It was not regulated before and it will not be regulated now. So nothing much has changed but the FUD caused a lot of panic selling at that time a month ago.

There is no chance that BTC will crash because of Indian ban. These kind of news certainly effect bitcoin price but in long run these news are nothing. Indian Government haven't banned bitcoin, and now they are thinking about launching its own blockchain. This thing has no end.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
This is not the first news about the Bitcoin ban, why should it be a disaster? Moreover, they want to introduce blockchain technology into the banking system. I believe that the decline in bitcoin prices is not at all because of this! That's right. Also, you should take note that many ICOs originate from India. Therefore, them banning it would be a bigger blow to them that it is to other users in the world. Therefore, I don't that's going to last. I see it similar to how China did before. They banned Bitcoin due to their personal aim of introducing their own cryptocurrency and to support those cryptocurrencies originating from their country. It's an up-and-coming market, so I don't think that it's a smart move to walk away from it, and I know that they know that.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
This is a little unreliable information. In India, bitcoin is not prohibited. There and then, citizens use bitcoin and other crypto currency without any restrictions. It began to speak after the Reserve Bank of India recommended to other banks to stop rendering services in the crypto currency. However, the very prohibition of the crypto currency was there. Such a decision of this bank can not have a significant impact on the use of crypto currency in this country. Also, this did not have any effect on the depreciation of the crypto currency.

Every time we listen such sort of news, they are based on wrong facts. I might think they are just a part of propaganda that is being planned and executed over the performance of bitcoins. People can’t see this bitcoin rising up and like it is being famous and popular in such short period of time, they start hating it. For the reason only, they spread such sort of news to made bad impact.

I live in India, and its not banned here. It was just announced that RBI-controlled entities, that are basically banks, should not deal in bitcoin anymore. It just means that we cannot convert out BTC to INR. Thats just it. What it doesnt mean, is that BTC is banned in India. It was clear that holders could still hold and use bitcoin, just couldnt convert it to INR anymore. Just stop posting all these FUD, it just dampens the spirit, and hurts bitcoin as the support level gets hurt after seeing this stuff.

Nope. Even if India bans bitcoins, there will always be underground operations. It follows banning. It will only cause massive amounts of followers. One day, the Indian government will most likely lift the ban because many of its citizen is enjoying the benefits of bitcoins.

First was hype that India legalise btc now is fud that India ban bitcoin. India need to regulate crypto, same like S.Korea is doing

India has not banned Bitcoin yet. The Indian Finance Minister said in a meeting that rather, they are encouraging the people accepting the bid of BTC validity. That is why some people are taking different steps to prevent them from engaging in various crimes including immoral acts and frauds. Hopefully Bitcoin will now crash.

When that news spread, the prices crashed by good margin on Indian exchanges. Now prices are back to normal for all coins and thus I think BTC is also just fine.

I recon India does not pose much of a significance to the bitcoin economy based on their level of adoption so far. So ban or no ban from India, nothing much will change in the space except for those caught up in that jurisdiction. The pertinent thing to learn from the characteristics of bitcoin based on its antecedent is that even if the news were to have a negative impact on BTC, it would fight back and come out stronger, if China with all its might cannot stop BTC, then i am waiting to see that nation that will so much hurt BTC as to kill it...It ain't happening

I don't believe that the situation will stop bitcoin and will trump it on the ground. It maybe cause a little negative but bitcoin always recover, this is not a new trials of bitcoin from its success it is already its routine and after few months here the bitcoin again dominating the market. So whatever action of other to oppose bitcoin it will never succeed because this crypto is the future money of one world government.

The bitcoin was created by a Japanese citizen, and the Indian ban on bitcoins did not mean that the bitcoin was broken. Although India's population is very crowded, they did not participate too much in the Crypto market. So the Indian thing forbid bitcoin is not going to affect the value of bitcoin as you think. keep calm bro.

There are lot of fake news today about the ban of cryptocurrencies in India when the budget was announced ,the market certainly dipped after the news but i am not sure whether the market went down because of this news or what because i have not seen exchanges in India.

People are so easily manipulated...
yes, the fact is that way, the scenario keeps repeating, the merchants and some whales make use of the news or even make a lie for their benefit, they take advantage of a large number of responses to a news circulating today, novice traders usually stuck in his game,

I think one country can't shake the crypto market.

I just read a lot of topics like this about India just banned, for the fast answer to your question the answer is no still bitcoin can hold it will not crash.
If you know a lot of the bizarre state problems that bitcoin and make the price down it is a trick to get a cheap price if you do not realize it. And that's bad info for bitcoin but it seems the info is not too influential for bitcoin prices

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
I think Bitcoin will still run smoothly and survive. Just because India banned Bitcoin is not to affect the development of Bitcoin. Bitcoin will not die because of this. Yes, maybe only a small part of Bitcoiner from India has ceased to exist. I hope that there will be no more countries banning Bitcoin. Bitcoin deserves to be preserved in all countries all over the World.

If the news is true. my answer is yes but i think it's not a big impact to bitcoin because if other sell their coins, a good opportunity to new investor to buy bitcoin in low price.

India just BANNED Bitcoin? Will BTC now crash?
Can you give me a legitimate link please? If this is real, I am very sure that a lot of people will panic sell their bitcoins. It is most likely to happen that bitcoin will crash because it has not yet set foot to 10000 USD on this year. Also, why would the Indian government will ban bitcoin? Is there and incident that happened or is it a fake news?

How can BTC crash if Bitcoin is banned in India? India is not the only country that uses Bitcoin in the world there are other countries that are echo-friendly with Bitcoin. The head of the blockchain and cryptocurrency committee said that cryptocurrency will not be banned but will not be a part of a payment system in India . Gold is not a payment system but still people buy it as an asset .Since Bitcoin is a decentralized blockchain technology Bitcoin ban is not possible by an individual countries interest only.

India does not have too many people involved in the Crypto market, so the government of India forbid bitcoin will not affect the market capitalization of Crypto. But the rules of the government will not be too influential. Because China is currently banned from bitcoin trading, China is currently the fourth country to enter the Crypto market in the world. Do not worry too much.

I haven't heard confirmation of this news yet. But even so, I'm not sure that this will seriously affect bitcoin. India is not so technologically advanced country that its ban bitcoin has had a significant impact on the cryptocurrency.

It's not the Indian people fault but their government, that like most other governments are just looking over their own profit, rather the benefit of the Indian people! But I doubt this will take too long, India is a country very concerned with technology and there are many people there willing to fight nail and tooths for cryptocurrency (at this time I'm posting they might have lifted the ban).

In this opinion piece, Mohammed Danish, a lawyer practising at High Court of Delhi, explains how the interest of the crypto investor in protected under Indian law despite the absence of any crypto regulatory regime. The investor can still approach the court of law against any deficiency in service by the cryptocurrency exchange. Indian Law Protects Cryptocurrency Investors Despite Lack of Regulation

This is not the first news about the Bitcoin ban, why should it be a disaster? Moreover, they want to introduce blockchain technology into the banking system. I believe that the decline in bitcoin prices is not at all because of this! Yes, you are correct, this is not the first time that we will be hearing this kind of negative news but bitcoin performance goes well and it is not affected by any negative news somewhere.

Indian government's decision to ban bitcoin hasn't in anyway affected the price of it. Bitcoin hasn't crashed, as some people thought. Hundreds of thousands of Indians have been using bitcoin for a long time and they would do so in future too. In fact more and more people are getting attracted to bitcoin because of its profitability.

When the news first came out, it caused a crash in the exchange rates. If I remember correctly, the exchange rates nosedived from around $12,000 per coin to less than $10,000 per coin. So you can't say that it didn't had any impact on the exchange rates.

on what i have read on this news and also here on bitcoin talk tread is that they will just ban it for 3 months and we will just wait what will happen after that 3 months, it affected the value of bitcoin when this news spread because a lot of Indian people are also holding bitcoin and that is why the price drops last month (a lot of Indian people are in crypto world that is why it is a sad news), and now the value of bitcoin is recovering and we will see green in this coming months.

It's just a fake issue or news so other investors get back on their investment because bitcoin prices are now too low. In India, it does not prohibit the existence of bitcoin in their country. So bitcoin prices will soon fall after the situation is under control.

Some people in panic sell because they know that it will occur, but clever people will hold it because the value of bitcoins won't fall in such news. Its cost decreases because most of all sell the coins.

The CEO of a Delhi cryptocurrency exchange platform claims Venezuela has offered the Indian government a whopping 30% discount on oil if it pays in Petro, the South American country’s state-issued cryptocurrency. Media outlet Business Standard says the CEO of Coinsecure, Mohit Kalra, explained, “[The Venezuelan government is] going to different countries and making offers.” According to the report, a team of experts from Venezuela’s blockchain department entered into a pact with Coinsecure to sell Petro in India. India Can Use Petro to Buy Venezuelan Oil at 30%

Digging up on the issue of India banning bitcoin (or cryptocurrencies altogether), it was actually a misunderstood statement from their head of finance.
What India wanted to ban is the "illegal activities" that's revolving around the crypto economy. In fact they wanted to explore the blockchain technology deeming it useful for the government.
Unocoin even announced "business as usual" a day after the said statement was delivered.
Besides, India banning cryptocurrency will only hurt the economy but would not mean the end of cryptocurrency.

Same with how Chinese people do investment even ICO was ban on them before. It is just a matter of who will stand to do still even it is against their law since we can ask anybody from other countries to do it for us as long as you trust them to do so.

The sequence of the aforesaid adversities cultivated a climate of fear in the minds of investors raising serious doubts on the future of cryptocurrency in India more so because of the continued haze on the legal canvas of the country.

That is why RBI banned transfering bitcoin from their e-wallet into there bank account .

It seems that the market is on the much better progress that it didn't affect too much by the banning, but it will be sad that countries were still banning this invention that can help many people.

It is their loss anyway. Though it is a fact that fear is the only reason why they need to banned Bitcoin to their country. It is their right to protect what they need to protect. As for me, as long as we use Bitcoin properly and our government supports it, we are very happy.

Really a sad thing to hear. I know India has not banned Bitcoin but forbid exchanges from engaging crypto coins purchase. India has to realize what is really going to uplift their economy. A sad thing is, almost more than 50 percent of investors are from India and it has a good market. The leaders have to realize the need of their countries and adapt bitcoin.

Currently there is no ban, just a misinformation here. Moreover, cryptosociety has never really relied or hoped for India's crypto industry to bloom, so I suppose even complete ban won't affect the rate much, though India has 1+ billion of potential users

i was also thinking the same way and even if it is really true that india had banned bitcoin , i think that wont still make a huge impact to the value of bitcoin because india is only a semi poor country which means there arent enough investors on them. we can only be threatend if bitcoin was banned on some major countries such as us or russia because both of these countries were said to the most number of bitcoin users when compared to other parts of the world.

Yes maybe it will have another crash due to this event, India is a big country and there are many investors in India also, losing so much investors will lead to another dump because people will sell all their Bitcoin to the markets cause they don't want to against the law.
And what then happened?

It seems the decision of India about banning Bitcoin has not effected Bitcoin price too much. This kind of things will always continue to happen until Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies displace real money.
When the news first came out, it caused a crash in the exchange rates. If I remember correctly, the exchange rates nosedived from around $12,000 per coin to less than $10,000 per coin. So you can't say that it didn't had any impact on the exchange rates. but since then we are down much much more

Bitcoin is still legal in India, people are still using it but the exchange is stopped till further orders.According to me even if Indian government ban bitcoin BTC will not crash because their are many countries which are in favour of it.This will affect the growth of BTC but bitcoin has the capability to recover so keep on investing in it without believing in such fake news.

Indian society is indeed a lot but bitcoin banned in India may only have an effect there because bitcoin users are not only from India, the world community is very much and bitcoin banned in India will not have a big effect on the price of bitcoin

The BTC has crumbled, and the price of the BTC has started to collapse since the bull market began in early 2018, and of course the market's options have continued to fall.

I see some country who are banned bitcoin, but maybe they have some effect to the price maybe they decrease . But the important to the country who are accepting and legalize bitcoin to their country and this is very big help to us to pump bitcoin.
There is no need to pump the bitcoin. Slow rise is much better.

I myself just heard it and it did not give me any influence, in general if the Indian users are big enough and they get the impact of the ban it will certainly have an influence on the market, but if the user is small from India, in my opinion it will not affect the price as deep

We don’t say world crash there will be a bit fall in price and that will occur when maximum people will sell their coin for sake of profit and as before people were aiming to sell at 10000 but today progress give them a sign to hold for more time and then sell because In 3 days price jump from 8000 to 9735 and this show clearly waiting for one more week will show where coin will lie & profit will be shown clearly in stats.

Nothing like that is going to happen, bitcoin is not going to crash just because one country banned bitcoin, even if an important country banned bitcoin nothing will happen because people will just keep dealing with bitcoin except that this time they are going to do it without the approval of their government.

Bitcoin is spreading with the passage of time and whenever a country stops using it then on the other side we have countries which are accepting it. Looking and observing the progress of countries with the Bitcoin convincing other countries as well. I think Indian ban on the Bitcoin has no greater affects and this is understandable for us as we can say in comparison that Germany has accepted it.

We have accepted the Bitcoin as we know that Germany has accepted the Bitcoin recently. Even if it is legal in India then it has no effect on the value of Bitcoin because most of the people living there are uneducated about the crypto world as compared to rest of the countries. However there are educated but they have little investments here so I think it has no great loss for the Bitcoin and is understandable.

Why? I though India accepting bitcoin but I am wrong. This is not a good news for all of us. Will in my opinion, it will not affect bitcoin or it could not be a reason to crash. Bitcoin has many supporter or I mean they will not let bitcoin to crash. Many people is now relying to cryptocurrency and I think they will proctect it until the end.

India, like china, has been very open about it's stand when it comes to crypto but a total ban or illegalization isn't in effect.

I do not think so that people will think it is a crash if India has banned the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This is not valid and irrelevant if we are thinking like this because Bitcoin has more supporters all over the world and we have good news as well that Thailand has accepted it recently so the fresh news is very good and Indian banning is now old news for us to discuss.

I think bitcoin even did not crash after banning bitcoin by China where the investors are much more than any other country. Bitcoin is too much strong and banning by a single country cannot effect bitcoin too much, even If it will affect the bitcoin price it will be for some time and not permanent.

I think the Indian government banned the circulation of bitcoin in its country because there may be a lot of developers who commit public fraud that block the blockhain platform but run away from money from Investor and there may also be other problems that make cryptocurrency in India strictly forbidden.

Yes it is not for the first time we are hearing about India that they are banning bitcoin, may be they have taken some steps about bitcoin. but to me I think that they have not yet totally banned bitcoin, bitcoin is the only crypto currency which is present in all over the world having same value everywhere. So it is not as much easy to stop their people from using bitcoin.

That is indeed a very strong foundation. Bitcoin price values and forms of bitcoin are very difficult to track so there is a high likelihood of fraud. The sophistication of technology makes Bitcoin anonymous so that no one can confirm the track record of Bitcoin transactions. The government needs to understand the things that are far more important than the positive value of using Bitcoin, so far the government has seen the negative side of Bitcoin and it should be avoided because right now we are heading for the era of digitalization.

One of the possible reason the bitcoin are still crashing because of the country who wants to banned bitcoin because they did not manipulate bitcoin. But I think those country who banned bitcoin already will be unbanned bitcoin if they see the good opportunity of the bitcoin.

You are 100% right but we have another news that Thailand has accepted the Bitcoin and will soon run inside the country so this is encouraging people to come towards this new technological way of investment. This will benefit you the most and will payoff if you choose it for your investment and the coin is spreading with the passage of time and soon India will rethink to accept it again because the fault is in their system and not in Bitcoin.

I think those manifestations happening with bitcoin against india of whatsoever countries who seemingly banned bitcoin was just a tactics from other bitcoin haters, and probably haters of cryptocurrency. No such reposts or any legit article who can support this information yet, so don't easily carried aways on this matter and most importantly be brave enough.

These may not be tactics from Bitcoin haters. Such reports might be hyperbole, but if you do go to mainstream publications, there is a kernel of truth behind it. In India's case, the exchanges have lost their banking relationships and pretty much shut down or converted into crypto-only exchanges. While India has not explicitly banned Bitcoin, all trading activity has come to a grinding halt.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will always go on even if Inda will ban it. And if this is really true, then take a look last year when China banned bitcoin and cryptos. Its effect is very obvious as bitcoin plunges down but bitcoin retaliates back and skyrocketed its market price since then. So in this case, i believe it's just the same as last year and bitcoin will remain strong and dominant.

Yes, you are right it won't affect the price of bitcoin but India might loose the bitcoins. Bitcoins price will not decrease and it won't affect the price of Bitcoin if Indian bans the bitcoin.
