Wow. 25 different cryptos. Talk about spreading yourself too thin. If you're hodling that would be okay but for a day trader that's a nightmare! Anyway, all the recent FUDs (negative news) about bitcoin eventually led to it's bearish drop. Add to that, no big news about bitcoin lately.

unless he is thinking to be a holder for a long time then to keep those 25 different cryptos is really interesting because once all of the coins is an increase, he can see that his profit is too big that could he imagine. I think this is like what I do now and I still hold at least 10 coins at the same times and fortunately, I can buy all of 10 coins at the last year when the price is too cheap for me.

Why do almost all alt coins crash because of the bitcoin crash or correction?

Because they're traded for BTC mostly. Thus their price correlates with BTC/USD price. If alts were traded for fiat money, they wouldn't be affected that much.

Its okay to ask doubts and it is not foolish to raise queries regarding things which you are not aware of.A person can only improve their knowledge by raising queries about things which they are not aware of and they can improve their knowledge and can make wise investment by learning about things which they are not aware of.You should understand one thing that btc was the first digital currency which was created and introduced in the digital market and it is the leading crypto currency rest all the crypto came after that and the market value of all the crypto keep changing depending on the market value of btc .Say for example if the market value of btc rise the rest crypto market will also grow and if there is a crash in the btc market the rest crypto will also fall.

Some reasons of why the market is down is that people are panicking because bitcoin is falling and might night survive. Then there the so called experts saying nonsense about bitcoin causing newcomers to cut loss their holdings and sell bitcoin at the lowest price.

Keep holding those altcoins and when you get into the chance that you can breakeven or a little closer to your total invested or base capital then you just breakeven because there is no reason for you to hold 25 different cryptocurrencies because it is best to just have at least 3-5 cryptocurrencies to hold and some of the excess will be played for short term and only maximum of 5 is the long term.

Indeed in February this bitcoin price really suddenly decreased dramatically but as a trader do not ever panic to sell bitcoin at this time because I am very confident that in the next few months bitcoin prices will rise again and profit can double when we patiently hold it.

Of course you show it to her how use it and what the effect of bitcoin in your life then cheer up for her to covince to use bitcoin.
You are right it will be good for then if we will guide them well about bitcoin, as if they will know easy and simple way to use bitcoin then they will find it easy but if at start we will not tell them easy way of bitcoin making then they will be fade up with bitcoin at start and will not invest more. So just tell them the easiest way of using bitcoin so they will be able to build bright future with bitcoin investment.

Hello guys...

I have diversified my portfolio to about 25 different cryptos which were worth about 7000-8000$ just before the bitcoin crash came and I am wondering whats the exact reason behind this, when or will it recover (and so the alt coins I hold, don't have any bitcoin).

Why do almost all alt coins crash because of the bitcoin crash or correction?

My portfolio is worth only 4000$ atm.

Sorry for being an beginning idiot and asking this and thanks for everybody who can explain it to me
We should help beginners for more understanding and give some knowledge or hits by sharing them everything so you can help others also to have some more income

I'm 100% percent supporting your idea, we beginners and newbie need more education so that we can understand what we doing. Because most of us don't know what we are doing it seems like we wasting much time in our career.

Actually buddy, to make you understand clearly most crypto currencies at this moment go down because they are relying the value of bitcoin. Also, the tokens that you have, as it was from the start of ICO projects most investors used bitcoin as their way of investments that's why during the downfall of bitcoin the tokens that you have will aslo down. Well, on my opinion on what you are going to do just hold as much as you want, if you have enough funds on your own wallet.
Bitcoin is like a leader. If it falls everyone else also suffer through the same fall. If it boosts up, every other crypto coin follow its footsteps. That is why it is said that bitcoin is the benchmark for all alternative coins. But as it is leader, therefore its performance is far beyond any other crypto coin.

Investors should not let the decline afraid them. In this life, everything is temporary and so is this time. My suggestion for him is the same as yours. Wise words indeed!

There are several factors that are affecting the rapid rise and fall we are seeing in the crypto market. Most come down to basic economics.

- Volume. In relative terms, there aren't THAT many people trading. We are talking 1996 levels of adoption for the internet are trading crypto. So, pumping and dumping activities by a few large actors can skew the system very quickly. Also, when huge communities like those celebrating the Chinese New Year for the past few weeks go do things with family and aren't as active, it makes it even easier for swings. As we get more people online, we will see volumes stabilize more and more.
- Regulation. The fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) from large nations like China, South Korea, and India—not to mention the US—as they place undetermined regulations or clamping down and exposing frauds will cause some folks to sell off, and restrict large populations from participating causing swings in volume. This is expected growing pains as the market hardens itself. Ultimately, smart businesses will figure this out, and will create such a demand, governments will have to figure out how to make it work for them. Japan and Gibraltar and Dubai are already doing this. We see success there, and other governments will learn and adopt as well.
- Exuberance. People talk about Tulip Mania, or the dotcom bubble like they were reasons to abandon growth industries. Do we still use tulips or the internet? Yes. Of course, and blockchain and cryptocurrencies will be no different. A correction to tame all the wild ideas that do not have the benefit of a true business case need to be culled. That is happening now. I saw that Binance says it is getting over 4000 applications for ICOs every month and a handful are getting through. They are acting as quality assurance gates to vet real business plans and protect investors from people that don't really know what they are doing or don't really understand this economy—they think of ICOs as a easy way to raise money, but have a low potential from making that investment worth something that benefits this economy. We are seeing a shake out of those poor actors now, and we are getting smart really fast to curb their exuberance with real business acumen. This happened not too long ago with the dotcom companies, and I think it will happen even faster now, as we understand tech much better. To figure out these on your own, you will have to do your own due diligence and find out more about who you are investing in—same as stock market investors. Whose behind it? What is their track record? Why does it make sense for blockchain? Is there an economy with actual reasons for velocity (constant buys and sells) to drive the markets up? Also, what markets benefit from the project? We see that the best investments are still in blockchain infrastructure, finance and gaming (https://twitter.com/Obj_Cloud_Labs/status/954471637285556237). These are the three main areas that build value and stability to the whole ecosystem—its the tide that floats all boats.
- Global markets. Friday saw a spike in the interest rates that set the stock market plunging. These factors affect everyone, including crypto markets. If the stock market is doing well, all investment will do well. If the global mood is to be conservative, that will affect cryptocurrencies even more as our volume is still relatively low.
- Enterprises. This is the reason I think it will bounce back. Enterprises are adopting blockchain technologies for real business cases. There was a great article this week https://www.coindesk.com/enterprise-blockchain-may-finally-ready-breakout/ citing how enterprises have done their due diligence and are bringing online real services. Depending on how they do it, this has the potential to introduce HUGE volume to the blockchain infrastructure, while building confidence and enterprise investment in the technologies.

This paints the picture that investment here is a long haul. You can't invest and expect to have consistent returns in weeks or months. But, if you invested in Google or Apple in 2000, you'd be very happy today. The same is true with many of these companies emerging today on the alt-coin market.

So, if you are investing, do your homework. Understand how it all works. Be ready to do some long term investing and keep tabs on if your investments are really doing what they say. Blind bets may pay off, but could cripple you too. The only way to help improve your odds is to do the work to understand what you are investing in, and that means looking at the big picture.

Unlike stock markets, there are no official Bitcoin exchanges. Instead, there are hundreds of exchanges around the world that operate 24/7. Because there is no official Bitcoin exchange, there is also no official Bitcoin price. This can create arbitrage opportunities, but most of the time exchanges stay within the same general price range.

As a newbie here in crypto currency community, I think this is the topic that all newbies had been waiting for. As I observed there are a lot of newbies here like me that are needing help from an expert. We need a friend who can help us so that we can learn from him/her on what is bitcoin all about. We need help so that we can gain knowledge about bitcoin. I think helping a newbie to understand bitcoin is a one way of showing love to one another. One must put on his/her mind always that sharing is blessing.  I am encouraging everyone here in bitcoin that is expert to help a newbie to understand so that all of us will improve our status of living. Have a good day and God bless.

Helping is good so lets help a beginner to understand what bitcoin is.Share them a little bit about bitcoin and take care to them so that they can share also when they get high rank to those newbie when the time is come.share our knowledge about bitcoin but not all so that we can earn a lot of bitcoin.beginners need to rank up first and observe in forum to expand their knowledge just like  what i do when i was beginner but for me i am still newbie because i think i still little know about bitcoin and because of that i like to explore more about it.

As we embrace the world of bitcoin we need to help others which now we earning money.Dont be so greedy when it comes to the people we help we should teach them first is basic let them understand whow bitcoin works in the country ,what are the benefits that could give us.
