This is decentralised cryptocurrency so it will fall or raise anytime happens in the market. Why you are  discourage in your investment. It depends on what whales do. If they are decided to keep selling the price will go maybe even lower than 5000 dollars and the market will be predominant of bears. If the whales have a plan and they will sell until a certain resistant price for example 5000 the limit, then bitcoin will not go lower. The bitcoin price has indeed decreased, but I think it is a normal thing. Bitcoin so far was totally dropped for a couple of weeks, So if you bought it for 15,000$ meaning you've been stock up with it, so you don't a choice but to wait. As of the moment, it seems that the price is not dipping below $8K so I say that it will not continue to shoot down to $6K. It's really been one heck of week, so frustrating at times when you check the price moving to the opposite direction. Not complaining though, we have seen this pattern in the past. The only true long term value that has been established for BTC is 1k per BTC. If you've actually been involved more than like 6 months you can easily see that. It spiked up to around 1200 way back in 2013 or 2014 I forget the exact period, then crashed hard on bad press (mainly the Mt Gox incident and unfavorable news from China.) Then it took a long time to restabilize at 1k and essentially stayed there before rocketing up to 10k, then 19k in a matter of a few months last year.

Be careful, all the people trying to invent all these BS price supports are mainly bag holders who bought at or around 10k. The reality is the only price that it has really stayed at in recent years is right around the $1k USD mark.

Personally I wish 10k or more would become the new stable bottom but there is not really any legitimate evidence to say it will, aside from very loose technical indicators that any real trader can tell you are not truly reliable methods just like with the stock market.

You've open this thread about a week ago and how does it feel right now? Bitcoin is already marching towards $9,000 so I think your questions have been answered already. Although bitcoin has fallen drastically to more than 50%, it is somewhat on the recovery phase. I really do hope that you still holds your bitcoin that you bought at that price because there's nothing you can really do what waited it out till the price goes up again. There'a a good chance that it will retrace back into the low 6k's & a drastic pull back to the mid $4,500's is possible. With that said, buying the dip, from 8K and HODLing is a long term option but if you're trading daily then look for epic entry points under $6,500. These are only my thoughts & not trading advice. Just hold your bitcoin for a while, selling at panic will not make you profitable instead it will make you lose your investment. Today, we have seen a good rise and hopefully this will continue. Have more patience in the coming weeks you will get your investment back

Right now, the best thing that you can do is to hold on to your bitcoins and wait for some time for it to grow. Do not panic because it might confuse your mind and force you to make bad decisions that will cause more troubles than good. Look at the charts now, we can see that it is getting on track and probably going higher again. We can never be sure. But just don't go panic selling your bitcoins and release the mindset of cutting losses. Since you won't have to deal with losses if you just hold on to your bitcoins.

I know you are kind of disappointed when you bought bitcoin at the price of $15,000. If you are aware about the movement of crypto coins in the market, there is an increase in price of bitcoins and some altcoins. The current price of bitcoin is $10,833 which means that it doesn't continue falling between $6,000-$5,000. Don't sell your bitcoins now, because the little by little increase of bitcoin is a good sign that there are good things that will happen in the future. Relax and keep holding your bitcoin. It may goto 5k and it may goto to 25k because either is possible   We have to guage the probability of one occuring before the other but either event is decided by supply and demand.   I look at the charts and see we break a simple trend of decline since the all time high, that alone makes me more bullish.  It means regular selling is no longer occuring, some might have stayed away or sold early may now reenter the market.

I'd just go by experience and say 5k is less probable now then when you originally stated it, that time has past.   A new forecast must be made as we entered into newer trends then the simple decline of the last month or so.

Actually it already touches more than $11K yesterday, but we experienced some minor selling that's why it hovering just below $11K. But its a good sign that we are not going lower that $5K-$6K because the new psychological barrier is $12K.

It will be a long road ahead before getting in a new all-time-high. But you are correct, we don't need to worry because eventually bitcoin will rally and the price will increase overtime. We just need to have a little patience here.

Well if that happen maybe it was better to hold our bitcoin and waiting when across in a value of $15000 we know it is enough value that we are waiting but if still continue again and passing of $15000 well it is better.

In my opinion, I feel it's going to fall down and I consider 8k as the next target. It's risky but I change a significant amount of my crypto into fiat or usd and wait for btc to fall. Once it's done, I buy more BTC far the same amount.
If btc goes up I'm screwed though.... i'll be interested in what you guys do during a downtrend market.

yeah it will not go back again and investors will invest more now to see the higher prices earlier because this dump is since so long and everyone want to get rid of this so just keep on investing for some time and hold more to get results sooner.
