I don't see bitcoin now being beaten by an alt maybe they are getting closer in marketcap but when it comes to price they are too far away to say they can dethroned btc in the number one spot. If btc price goes up again, sure the gap in marketcap will increase again.

It is possible that bitcoin can be replaced but the question is when? Bitcoin is the stongest crypto for now. Ethereum is second to bitcoin, as i see it. Investing to this two cryptos is I think best thing to do.

There's a possibilities that ETH will replace bitcoin on top but only time can tell, everything is possible since this two is really great coin but I still hope that bitcoin will improve this year to remain on top. We will see this in the coming years, cryptocurrency is great after all.

Everything is possible if the coin got enough users and transaction volume then it can replace bitcoin, bitcoin now in the edge, alot of coin ready to replace it, since it's high fee, a lot of people think its not suitable anymore to used it for transaction and bitcoin has lost a lot of support, but it's also not that easy to replace bitcoin,  a lot of requirements are needed to replace bitcoin

That was the plan I guess bitcoin is the first made cryptocurrency and it was so successful at that time so other company like ethereum wasted hat success so they created ethereum to compete with bitcoin but still bitcoin was the number one but ethereum was also good for investor there are a lot of cryptocurrency to invest with so we couldn't get all the investor just for bitcoin. Also, investor have wanted security for their money if the other cryptocurrency are scam at least they have other options.

Yes, it is still possible for other coins to top bitcoin in terms of usability and speedy transactions. So bitcoin has to be quick with their lightning network or any upgrade that can turn the tables on these altcoins.

It will because it's a modern technology people will create new ideas and platform that will be use in the future and i think there are coins that will surpass bitcoin in the future one of my target coins is Ethereum and it really going to make a huge profit this year.

BTC and ETH will stay on top for a while, but as the world gets more involved and blockchain becomes mainstream and world changing, there will clearly be a new top dog. And as far as how long dominance will last, we'll see. EOS is already becoming more preferred for some developers than ETH, so we could see some new coins at the top within the year.

There are several crypto currency which came after bitcoins and there are chance for the market value of ETH to go high so i guess this year will be for the ETH value to grow and it will be a wise decision to make investments on ETH .It does not mean that btc will be left behind currently there is correction going on in the btc market so is the reason of current decline. To be a wise investor it is always better to split investment and make investments on multiple coins so that you never end up in loss.Splitting investments always helps double the investment.

That could be possible only when investors turn their back on bitcoin. As of now people are in doubt about how bitcoin could be back in the rising track, but one thing is for sure that bitcoin would not be dead and it would rise back to the top this year.

Under the current scenario it seems very very much difficult that any other coin snatching crown from the Bitcoin.  In the years to come others in the race will have to run very fast because bitcoin is also not sitting it is running too in the race.  Confidence of the people is rising in case of bitcoin,  the fate of other coins is still being decided by the fate of bitcoin.  If the price of bitcoin rises other coins too rise and fall with the fall in the price of bitcoin, so bitcoin is deciding the current of the market.

So near future I see no chance that any other coin taking over charge from bitcoin though nothing is impossible in this world and any task looking impossible today is made possible by somebody other.

the answer will be maybe and maybe not. and if there is a coin that could compete with bitcoin, then the coin should have many benefits like what bitcoin offers. the most important thing that that coin could have an expensive price like bitcoin and so far, only ethereum and bitcoin cash that could follow bitcoin price although this coin is not yet reached 0.5 btc per 1 coins. the other oldest coin like dash, litecoin, monero could have a chance to be like ethereum and bitcoin cash and only the time will answer.
