Certainly before another coin will overthrown bitcoin, it will take much time and they are new altcoins with great use case like medichain that can try to overtake bitcoin in future...

Not seeing that happening in the near future. Why?

1st. Bitcoin is the poster child for normal people of blockchains.
2nd. First mover advantage and network effects. Everyone is playing catch up to BTC.
3rd. A lot of developers are focused on improving the BTC blockchain. Being patient will yield better results.

Bitcoin is the strongest and the highest market cap but as this is a very dynamic eco system the cyrpto currency market, all rules can change in a minute. ETH, Ripple, Vawes or other new coin can grab the rank.

The possibility is really high. Since bitcoin prices today are so down in the dumps, some big fish might pump the price of an alt coin and give rise to a new bitcoin competitor. I guess we should be extra careful and always be cautious when investing since we can still make a good financial move even without bitcoins to invest on.

I do not think I can take the crown of bitcoin because of the kripo king's bitcoin, the first one is created and through many obstacles to get to its kejayaanya.nah we can see from there another coin will be difficult to take the crown that is already attached to bitcoin.meskipu bitcoin prices are up, but that does not diminish the demand.

It will be a long time coming before bitcoin could be taken over, if ever. But we can  have some good coins co-exist with it, no need for btc to be taken over for now.

Yeah, in fact there's already altcoin that can give us great services aside from bitcoin. It will take time to beat bitcoin or it will never happen, bitcoin is great and I don't see any reason to replace it, I mean bitcoin is the first coin that give us opportunity to experience this kind of technology and its very popular compare to altcoins so for me it will remain on top.

Will another coin beat bitcoin in terms of total market cap? Maybe, maybe not. Is it possible? Very possible. Though Ethereum is slowly but surely closing up on market cap(currently a 57.3 billion difference[1]), it still has a far far way to go; and I honestly don't see bitcoin being replaced soon. Probably in the future, but who knows? Too early to tell. And it might not even be ETH.

Yes its true that its very possible to replace bitcoin in term of marketcap but not in price. Price of bitcoin is always become a leader of the other price. So its very difficult to defeat bitcoin

Yes, that's very possible. Because other coins have the answer to bitcoins problems, the expensive transaction fees, the long block time which makes some people switch to other cyptocurrency. But since bitcoin is the most popular and it has the most real life adoption, because you can't buy stuffs or pay bills with other coins yet. It will be very hard for other coins to take the throne.

In my own opinion the operations of the bitcoin is managed very properly the ups and down of this bitcoin is due to the circumtances that soround the digital world ,but as long as the people are supporting  and patronize this crypto then it may go along time, so take a very long time for other crypto to take the crown the bitcoin is reigning.

for another coin takes the position of substituting bitcoin in my opinion it is very difficult it happens although other coins can replace the positions of bitcoin will take a very long time, because currently bitcoin is or become the dominance of the currency crypto

I am thinking to that actually but convince myself that it couldn't be. My opinion is if it could be then simply the present crown of bitcoin now must be wear by ethereum. The crowns will be at the top of bitcoin. Stay live and active.

all the chances of another coin being a competitor of bitcoin, it all depends on the investors will choose to invest their assets into coins other than bitcoin, besides the value of the crypto currency is very difficult to predict its value

Even bitcoin slows down on its market uptrend, it is not yet possible to overtake the current king of the cryptocurrency as long as strong support remains. It maybe years more before another coin can able to take the throne over bitcoin. Ethereum and ripple are the nearest possible candidates but there might be another coin that could pose a challenge to the dominance of bitcoin.

Right now, some other crypto-currency toppling Bitcoin from the no.1 position is only a remote possibility. But there are two potential contenders in my view. They are Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash. In future there is a chance that one among these two can replace Bitcoin. Litecoin is another potential contender, but it is still ages away from offering any meaningful competition for Bitcoin.

Yes, it is the oldest as well the base for such a term cryptocurrency. In this way bitcoin will continue to be in the top without any form of overcoming from other altcoins. Right now several predictions were getting circulated that bitcoin's position will be taken hold by Eth, bitcoin cash or ripple. Maybe this could happen in terms of marketcap but never in terms of value.

In future, yes maybe ethereum, or another alt coin. however, it has to have very special qualities as bitcoin keep on tightening its grip on the crown with introduction of new technologies such as the lightning network. even if bitcoin is dethrown at the top, it will never lose value due to its scarcity.
