Currently Bitcoin is the strongest and the highest market cap in crypto world. bitcoin is the oldest and the most valuable coin & it’s the king of the market. I don’t think that people will let it happen.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

It is not impossible at all when seeing ETH dan BCH growing gradually and could be the strong bitcoin contender next year. Maybe any other coins would be the one, the market are unpredictable so anything could happen. Lets see might that any coins could make surprises.

Yes it is possible. especially that the dwindling dominance of Bitcoin the past years. it is only 35% now where years ago it captures majority of the cryptocurrency market. I think with other altcoins improving considerably, we might see a new king in the future. but I think it would still be in the distant future.

Right now the price is really unpredictable and BTC people might say it's weak at the moment but really, it happens. Most of the time! It's normal, it's going gather its self back together again, soon. Btc is the founding coins and the pioneer one. It couldn't be replace nor shut down by other coins. By the looks of it, other coins could be successful but BTC will always be ahead of them.

With lighting coming and more and more awareness, I don't think bitcoin will ever back down from its throne. It is possible but not very likely. Of course many alts will grow much more on % than bitcoin, but its dominance will be there forever.

If you think about it, while other alts solve many problems and have their own value, bitcoin=money, simply as that. It is also becoming more and more like digital gold in peoples eyes, which will also increase its market cap. In the future there will be many cryptos used by people but the bulk of one's money will be on bitcoin.

I think another coin will take the crown when it deppends to be a cryptocurrency for world wide payment. We all know that bitcoin can not handle the world wide transaction with the 10minutes blocktimes and the four thousand transaction limit. So im sure almost any other altcoin can replace on this. But when you look on the value, i dont think that any other coin will have more value then bitcoin today. But you never know so let me surpirse Grin

If we take into consideration that nowadays many ICOs accept Ethereum to invest, it is normal that price hike and ETH marketcap are fantastic compared to bitcoin, I'm sure that one day ETH can beat bitcoin.

Why are some people so infatuated with seeking an answer to whether bitciin will be toppled from its number 1 position?
This question has been asked many times before.
Nobody knows what will happen in the future and it certainly wont be an instant event, if ots goint to happen i would think it would happen gradually, like ethereum.

I see that IOTA has a lot more advantages than disadvantages. Lets compare against the BTC Bitcoin will never be adopted as a payment method on a shop or store, first the speed on transactions are unacceptable, second on micro payments the fees are in many cases higher than the cost of what we are buying,

Comparing against Ethereum the Big issue with this " Crypto " is that it should not even be classified as currency.

As far as I know there is not limitation on the number of ether that can be mined, for this reason it becomes worthless.

As the market continues to grow & expand, I think its feasible to anticipate that another coin could surpass BTC for market dominance at some point down the road. I do feel that's still a long way away though.

Bitcoin is the oldest and most valuable cryptocurrency, but a crop of nimble competitors, including Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, could lure investors away.

there are many possible coins that try to replace bitcoin or rival bitcoin but it is not easy many coins that have not been able to match the price of bitcoin but the possibility of coin that only has a total supply of less than 10 million and has a good development team seems to have that potential.

Bitcoins is at their top of their careed even if they are falling tremendously they are still the number one and as what I've noticed is that almost the majority of the value of the coins depends on bitcoins and whenever i see bitcoins drops in the market they value of the other coins are also dropping their price. But the bitcoins have the capability to somehow sistain the value and rise back up again. So for me the long years that the bitcoins are existing nothing can take away those Crown in them.

No coin can beat Bitcoin in terms of familiarity, market cap, price or anything. Bitcoin is the mother of all crypto and it is being driven in a way which no crypto can even near its 50% value, another thing special about Bitcoin is it's acceptance in many countries. If you ask any one what is crypto I'm not sure whether they know but if you ask what is Bitcoin, definitely they will something about it.

I do not think that ETH and Cash are strong enough to be leaders, besides, they are depending on bitcoin

I believe bitcoin will keep being the top of all coins on the market for a very longtime from now no matter how much better altcoins can be, the value of bitcoin is too much that we can not easily quit on bitcoin and change to new coins, so as long as the price of bitcoin keep rising and keep being invested by investors then bitcoin will not easily be replaced by another altcoin.

I believe also that there's no another coin can beat bitcoin, maybe not yet but we all know that this coin would strive hard to take the crown from crown.  Hence, on the first place bitcoin is the first digital currency that made and i bet that alternative coins or altcoin are made because of bitcoin, so its a no for another coin to take the crown from bitcoin.

A clever person recently told me that the best projects with the best coins will come in the future.
In this respect, it could be that there will soon be a new coin, which has the Pontenzial to replace the BTC.
