I think that in the next few years bitcoin will definitely be the main one. Perhaps bitcoin will be the main thing absolutely always. If anyone can compete for the first place, it's only Ethereum. But Ethereum capitalization is much smaller than bitcoin and this means that nobody will be able to defeat bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the oldest and most valuable cryptocurrency, but a crop of nimble competitors, including Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, could lure investors away.
it may be, but not for the next 5 years because Bitcoin still has advantages that other coins do not have, I believe someday bitcoin will be overthrown.
Crown? Is it important? I dont think so. Any coin can take it from bitcoin if it has ability to take over the crown.
Crown means it has ability to control the market like what bitcoin did so far. Bitcoin is still strong enoug to control although not 100% but at least other altcoin follow bitcoin price.

I would be very surprised if some altcoin could overtake bitcoin in price or popularity. In my opinion this is impossible.

Right. Bitcoin is like a queen bee, and if the queen bee dies, the hive will disintegrate. BTC created and helped the crypto market grow, So BTC will always keep the leading position

I think its very possible if bitcoin lost the crown. Many good coin/token with different project. Other bitcoin, like ethereum have smart contract that can attrack investor to invest on it, and for my self I am believe that bitcoin will replace with bitcoin

It is possible that other crypto currency will replace bitcoin, no one knows. However, maybe it will take a long run for other currency. Since bitcoin is the  pioneer in crypto world. Bitcoin already proves that it can survive no matter what happen and no matter what it takes even the price of Bitcoin decreases.

No one can take over the crown of Bitcoin as the king of crypto currency anytime because other coins are merely imitators, their goal is just to earn money.

In 2017 altcoyins began to grow like mushrooms after the rain. According to analysts of this market, only about 500 new types of crypto-currency have been created in the last six months. And today about 1,500 competitors of bitcoin are considered "alive". At least, crypto-exchange exchanges track their rate and make forecasts for the future.

It is possible that other coins can replace bitcoins. But not now. Bitcoin is still thriving. No other coins can simple dethrone bitcoins easily. Because of its sumpremacy

Bitcoin is the oldest and most valuable cryptocurrency, but a crop of nimble competitors, including Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, could lure investors away.

Nothing impossible but I think it will take time due to the reason that, bitcoin is the mother of all coin and most trusted coin in the market today. A lot of altcoin have potential like ETH,Ripple or bitcoin cash, but in terms of market cap still bitcoin is the supreme position.

It is possible for other cryptocurrency to replace Bitcoin when it comes to dominance or market capitalization, Bitcoin currently have 35% shares on total market cap of all cryptocurrency market, that is very low compared on what it has last year, but that is still huge and that is normal since there are lots of cryptocurrency that already growing, but for now no other cryptocurrency can surpass the dominance of Bitcoin because when the value of Bitcoin goes down, most of altcoins value also follows and vise versa. We can't name any coin that can be possibly dethrone Bitcoin since no one can predict the future of this market.

Everything is possible, but for the time being I do not see a worthy coin that could take precedence over all other coins.

Bitcoin is the most valuable and highly priced coin now, and it took the coin quite a lot to get to where it is now, and for another coin to take over wheel, it really must have to do more than what Bitcoin has done for itself. Right now, it doesn't seem like such a thing can happen, but with cryptocurrencies, you can never say never. Anything can happen.

I don’t think that in near future we will see that some other cryptocurrency will occupy the first place on the market. That’s just hardly can be imagined. The difference between Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is very big.

I don't see any indication till date that any other coin will take Btc place. Bitcoin is the most promising coin till date. I think Btc will continue to dominate the market on the other hand I can say ethereum is a good competitor of bitcoin but its not easy for any other coin to lure the investor in short time.

Perhaps there will be a bitcoin replacement, judging by the analysis of the whole time, it will not be soon, bitcoin is demand-supply, it is not backed up. Other violas are powerful projects with excellent ideas. Here there will be constant growth but more slow

In near future this not seems that any other coin will replace the bitcoin in terms of market cap as bitcoin has approx 2.5 times more over from Ethereum which is just  next under to the bitcoin. Till now Bitcoin is the king of this market and there is no possibility for any other coin to move beyond the bitcoin.

it is impossible to take over the highest price of Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is the real parent of all Altcoins, just look now if Bitcoin falls then Altcoins goes down and if Bitcoin goes up then Altcoins goes up.

too difficult for Altcoins to take over the crown from Bitcoin and chances it is impossible.

These coins are better than bitcoin with more innovative technology features with faster rate of transaction. In the future, more coins will be created with advance technoloy and readg to overtake the current king of the cryptocurrencies. As for now and in next several years, bitcoin will continue its reign because no one can still able to come close to it in term of its price and market capitalization.

Somebodies complain about a number of problems on cryptomarket. I am not so pessimistic. And I am sure that market will be recovered and Bitcoin will save its position as the first coin.
