How often does your web site gets updated?

When completed in a couple weeks, it will update posts and merit within 60 seconds.   Trust and activity are update less often, as I have to scan their profile to get that information.  Right now there is up to a week delay as I am programming and I need to pause my parser and then it needs to catch up to ALL the new registrations... luckily that number has been dropping in the last two weeks (thanks to merit!).

At the bottom of each profile page it lists the time we last checked and next time we expect to check.  You can request an updated check at any time for a small proof of work fee.

In my opinion, there is no sense scraping BTC addresses, since Google can do that faster than I can.  Unless it was for detecting if more than one user had the same address.  But I wouldn't want to give a false sense of security just because no duplicate address was reported...

I'm interested in any other ideas people have once I create an official announcement thread about BPIP.

In my opinion, there is no sense scraping BTC addresses, since Google can do that faster than I can.  Unless it was for detecting if more than one user had the same address.  But I wouldn't want to give a false sense of security just because no duplicate address was reported...

I used the site a while ago, just a pet peeve I had about it was I couldnt find a way to go the Bitcointalk profile of the person. I mean I can google the name, use the last posts/topics button to find the profile ID but it's kinda cumbersome.

• DT status of user which will show if the user is DT1/2 instead of going to trust settings to check if that's the case or no
• Possible sMerit listing? As in possible tracking on how much merit a user has given/received from a particular user. While it's available on the forum page as well a total amount sent can be helpful to check for possible merit abuse

Lastly the "update" button seems to redirect to cnhv.co or something. Not sure if that's intentional or yet to be developed. I think there's more stuff I wanted to recommend/ask about when I checked it out a while ago but then I guess we'll go way too off topic with that here

Weird thing for me is the way the exclusions occurred and the order of events?....  and, why did Og pick a Stewie meme here?    

The merit system should hopefully overcome the need for DT to get involved as much with content... abusing the merit system is another story which I haven't personally come to any conclusions about yet - in relation to DT members and what could be considered acceptable reasoning.

Sort of on-topic about Quickseller:  Do you guys think someone (like QS) has control of the Tomatocage account?  I've never had dealings or even words with Tomatocage, and I'm interested to know why he excluded me from his trust list.  If it was for being abrasive or racist, I sort of could see that, except I would think that my efforts to combat shitposters and scammers would outweigh this.  I've never said a bad word about him or OgNasty for that matter.  I am not upset about not being on DT anymore, just a bit puzzled.  I haven't scammed anyone--that's number one--and I have tried to help the forum as a whole, and I'll continue that. 

I have called Quickseller out for being a troll and selling accounts, and for the escrow scam that he pulled, and that's why I asked if he might control the Tomatocage account.  I'd be interested to know all of your opinions.

I know nothing about Tomatocage, have no time now to investigate, and tend toward caution in airing such suspicions.  But I do think it’s a reasonable suspicion worth investigating, and I can articulate why:  Quickseller has a prior history of obtaining illicit control of a DT account.  Any unexplained DT action beneficial to him should be examined, as a matter of course.

I understand you have a "source" that you may trust but how do I know I should trust your source to believe the information you are providing?  It sounds like we are supposed to just accept your source without knowing anything about them or are supposed to just accept that Lauda is guilty with no proof or evidence except a lack of saying "I don't have a pill addiction"? 

If there is a glimmer of proof or evidence, I believe it would have been posted in the OP.

My source tells me that he was told by people close to Lauda that Lauda has a serious pill addiction. My source also tells me that Lauda has often talked about drugs in "chatrooms" (which could be a number of things). You knowing who my source is will not really change anything, you knowing who my source is would still make this an anon's word against Lauda's word -- actually Lauda has not actually denied this, so it would be against nothing.

Lauda having a pill addiction may or may not be a big deal, however if Lauda were to outright deny this, then my source might provide more information, might provide names of those who gave this information (with things like chat logs/PMs), or those who directly know of this might come forward themselves to prevent Lauda from lying about this.


Lauda also has a history of refusing to explicitly deny engaging in shady behavior after being accused of said shady behavior, including when evidence is presented. For example, when it was proven that Lauda owned an account that placed bids to buy accounts, he left himself an 'out' in case someone came along with proof that he actually purchased forum accounts with that account (Lauda giving negative trust for those who trade accounts when he very clearly did so in the past reeks of trying to stifle the competition). He also has not addressed the claim that he is the same as ThePharmacist, who is someone who, as of recently has backed Lauda in many threads, and to my knowledge has not substantially opposed Lauda in a dispute.

The standard of evidence is the same as what is frequently published in the mainstream media. This is not a baseless claim. The "other" people who have posted not to dispute this are wrong. You can either accept what I am saying as fact, or you can dispute it and others can judge based on our respective reputations (assuming of course additional evidence is not presented, at which point the additional evidence + reputations will be considered by others).
