Killing cryptocurrencies would be hard to do,because it will require all of the countries to implement a total ban,and thats very impossible to happen because.there are few countries that fully supports the cryptocurrency like venezuela, they had an ICO which is backuped by the oil, which is great most.of the government will only regulate but killing crypro will not be an easy task though it can be done.

"Regardless, just because South Korea, China, the US and other countries can crush Bitcoin by issuing new regulations and influencing cryptocurrency prices, it doesn’t mean they can kill it".  The above quote is from the research information I got when I was trying to find out why world government is fighting crypto. Please read the full text here: https://www.ccn.com/fighting-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-trading-threat-government-policies/ and make your own contributions. It will help cool the nerves from the crypto dip we are experiencing recently. Happy reading. Thanks
Indeed it is true that world government can't kill crypto but they can influence or manipulate the market to the large extent because the thing that can kill crypto right now is there investors and these investors are bound with a regulations of governments and banks. The biggest example is the dip that we are seeing right now as people are scared to put there money in crypto due some strict rules and regulation of the government and due to this prices are just going down.

They have to spend the more money and time to manipulate the cryptos buddy. Whatever they finally bitcoin will grow more in the market and capture all side of investments. Since the few days value completely dropped in the market. Every newbies who is recently came inside the crypto platform they almost in tip of panic and starting sell the bitcoins and other alts. But in some days all the coins will recovered then they will hundred percent worry and cry out.

they can not kill the crypto
because of the large number of users and many companies and countries implement the crypto
so they can not be erased or killed
It is a clear indication of how important and widespread this technological innovation has become in India. BACC welcomes the statement and reaffirms its unstinting assistance to the government, and all regulators, in helping evolve a robust ecosystem for crypto currencies "In addition, the government has recognised the viability of blockchain technology that powers cryptocurrency. Efforts should be made to bring in regulations at the earliest to achieve this aim," Deshpande added.

I believe they will see the advantages to it .
Like some governments did with the internet with subsidizing computers to family's.
They have the power to kill it if they want yes , but i don't see them doing it.

They can do their best. Of course they can issue a law that will prohibit people from using crypto-currencies, explaining this by fighting for security. Of course they can, but I hope they do not.

No it is not possible to governments to kill crypto, because this currencies are decentralized mostly, and governments can't control them or their prices. They can only banning trading and dealing with crypto, or illegalize them and it is already done in some countries, but their citizens could always working for crypto and holding them.

Crypto can't be stopped, it's an unwinnable war for the govts much like the US's war on drugs is.  People want what they want.  That said the govts can slow it down and make it go back to the underground if they want, but in the long term crypto will be a big force as human life transitions more and more into the digital space.

I think yes, government can actually kills cryptos by making a regulations of prohibiting exchanges throughout the world. The market of bitcoin decline and it seems like it happen due to many countries decide to banned bitcoin exchanges. The support of countries are needed for bitcoin and all other cryptos to remain in the circulation, so if government will not show their support chances are cryptos might lose their market.

Come on, do you think that cryptocurrencies would come this far if they have the ability to end it. The world government will try but they'll never succeed. And they will always fail.

The government can ban crypto in their country. But in the world everyone has his own vision of the situation, and he will never be the same for the whole world.

In general, governments might determine the medium of exchange by coordinating beliefs, employing transactions policy, and punishing users of alternatives. By declaring an item legal tender, for example, the government might create an especially salient focal point around which individuals can coordinate on a particular money. Legal tender status might be nothing more than a designation; it need not convey any special privileges under the law (though sometimes it does). Since I want to use the money you are using and you want to use the money I am using, simply stating that the dollar is legal tender and bitcoin is not legal tender might be enough to generate coordination on the dollar. As a large and powerful player in the economy, governments are often in a position to provide such a focal point.

All Country Governments fears with the popularity of Bitcoin and Crypto currency however they are getting good money from the traders on transaction. even than the fear is that crypto is decentralized and no one can govern or control it. What will the effect of Crypto currency on economy of individual country is the main fear.

I do not think it's easy to do that because crypto now has a lot of uses and transactions on the current crypto currency has been increasing every day and certainly this will be a legal thing someday.

sure they could, but they wont. Why to destroy a blooming new economy and such a tech progress. They will regulate it and take some legislative measures against frodulent projects, and in my opinion it is a good thing against all new people and money coming to cryptoland in next few years.

I dont believe that anyone wants to kill it...they just want to regulate it and to be honest, get their piece of the pie.  With all of the scams and fraud that is out there, it is not a bad thing to have some regulation in the industry.

It's really simple. You cannot kill an idea. You cannot even kill an idea by taking someone's life. You can take someones freedom but you can never rob someone of what they hold inside. You can never take someone's heart , thoughts and ideas.

Why does government not like crypto? Simple. They don't want to lose control to a currency they know is better then their own debt cycled fiat.

Also the countries banning crypto or talking about it are shithole countries that are also communist. No first world country will try take our freedom and that is exactly why they are third world countries to begin with becthwy do shit like this.
